A fan after one show.... November 2017 Ruth Moody and her band performed at the Stoughton Opera House. Stoughton Wisconsin. I knew that she was a member of the Wailin Jennys. I picked up a ticket. went to the show just to hear some music. Basically I was just curious. Well I walked out of there a big fan. Such a sweet lady wonderfully talented. it comes through in her performance. This little lady walked out on stage and a sound came out of her that just melted my heart. Her backing musicians are very talented. It was a good show. I was lucky to meet with Moody after the show. she was very nice and personable. Bought three CDs one Wailin Jennys and two of hers. she autographed all three. Ruth if you read this please put out a new solo CD soon ...suffering withdrawl.

Just obsessed with this cover. So damn beautiful. And I love that they are the exact same lyrics, but because of how they are presented, they give the song an entirely different meaning....

What an analogy! She's a hidden treasure!

Very nicely done! The Ruth Moody Band gives this Bruce Springsteen song a lot of heart. Very percussive along with the marvelous vocals of Ruth Moody. She breathes new life in to this song.

She turns a song that was basically a "come on why not" plea into a soft yet oh so upbeat love song. Reminds me of what Glenn Campbell did for "Gentle on my mind."...most never hear Belton Jarvis do that one and it's very hard to find.
