I played this at my dad’s funeral , he had Alzheimer’s and dementia. It reminded me of it .Rip.27/06/1935 to 06/04/2024 . Michael Noonan : limerick Ireland , You know what is coming , but it still hard . i was driving up the rd about a week after it and i thought i seen him and was all happy for few secounds and then bang . you start thing your losing it. He is in a better place now tho

First time I've ever heard Amy's twice removed version, absolutely brilliant, it made me cry.

the fact a person under 30 is singing without auto-tune is worth a like.

This is one of the most beautiful versions of this song I ever heard..Amy's haunting and lovely Scottish voice makes it totally unique. I love her style too! It is always super cool

The wedding was shown live in front of 45 million viewers on Dick Clark's Rockin' Eve 85. Was truly tired sitting around trying to write that book. I spent three weeks in Scotland, Edinburgh, a few years ago. You people are absolutely awesome. I wish I coult meet a sweet Scottish lady. I would even adapt and eat haggish to please her. Hold your head high my friend, you're a Highlander! Love from Sweden

Never been a Springsteen appreciator but have listened to him doing this and for me Amy nails it. She 'feels' it and articulates it whereas he just shouts it. I struggle with Scottish accents too, despite living quite close tot the border but I can understand with no difficulty every word she says and I like the way she says them.

Two things. Wonderful rendition, lovely accent.... Well three things rendition, accent and my addiction to those uncontrollable eyebrows and absorbing smile. Ok,i know that's 4.

I've been a Springsteen fan since the 1970s. I saw him live in his prime many times back then. This is a beautiful version of his song. I think she does a great job with it.

Some so called artists sound not even as studio version as good as this lady live. Brilliant. Amy was my first bought CD ever in my life, after the change in germany, never forget this music.

Aw my god!! What a perfect rendition of a beautiful song! Despite her obvious nerves, regarding the high class of who she was performing in front of, she absolutely performed into it and blew it away. She had the power of a queen by the end of it. Should be really proud of herself. Well done.

This is simply stunning.. What a brilliant arrangement.. In many ways this is just so beautiful too. Amy, you should be so proud of this.

I'm a huge Springsteen fan and have no problem whatsoever with those who like this version better than Bruce's, or, for that matter, anyone liking a cover version of any of his songs. He's written about 350; over half covered by someone, and some covered by 50 bands or individuals. Like whatever or whomever you like. There's no reason for fans to be defensive when others prefer covers over the original. He established himself as one of America's greatest song writers over 30 years ago with his first seven albums; Greetings From Asbury Park, NJ (1973); The Wild, the Innocent, & the E Street Shuffle (1973); Born to Run (1975); Darkness on the Edge of Town (1978); The River (1980); Nebraska (1982), and Born in the USA (1984). He's released something like 12 -13, very good to brilliant, studio albums between 1987 and 2014, but even more, it's his concerts that set him apart from any other performer. No songwriter/performer in the world comes close. His position is quite secure. No defense needed. Let people like whomever they like. Nice job, Amy.

I was responding to the comments that express dislike for this treatment, and to the thumbs down voters. You're in the clear on Dancing in the Dark. However, there are certain songs that are so sacred, his performance so definitive, they should not be covered by anyone, ever. If you like covers of those songs, next time Bruce and I speak I may have to report you. Examples? Backstreets Jungleland Something in the Night Incident on 57th Street

I'm a massive Amy fan and my eldest daughter who is 36 years old and is into Rap and R & B and didn't bother to listen to any of her music but I kept playing Amy's music and suddenly and eventually she became interested and is now a big fan too so it's now brought us together more by listening to each other's music and we have now such an eclectic mix and embrace all the music we play to each other .I've also got her into 60's music and I've got into Eminem and kid Cudi .Music really does speak to us and brings people together.I'm so happy and Amy is such a talented artist .I love it when she sings the line 'I take a look in the mirror ' and she gives a cheeky smile (makes me wonder if she is looking /singing to someone in the audience .

Credit to the orchestra and the sound guys and gals. How the orchestra balances, compliments and enhances Amys vocals without eever dominating and taking over. A good piece of music? It's an absolute classic of a song.

I grew up listening to Springsteen and loved almost all of his music, with one notable exception being this song. I always felt it was way too pop for Bruce. So, hearing this version, with its different flow, different vocals, different....well, almost everything.....I'm surprised that I love it so much. This is really fantastic!

I absolutely love this woman, the way she flashes her eyes and raisers eyebrows is beautiful.

She´s such a great performer. Simply awesome!

How she delivered such a beautifully perfect performance through her obvious nerves should be a lesson to us all in what we can actually achieve if we just have that little bit of self-belief. Hard to come by for some I know all too well, but fk it nice one Amy❤❤
