Oops, a little message lost in translation. DREAM SMP LORE ISNT BAD!!! It's really those other SMP's that are heavily scripted and are just bullet points for lore. It seems like other SMPs think that to be successful they have to be like the Dream SMP, which is very untrue, but that's why they start doing lore.

Imagine you are walking in New York city and you fall into a manhole, obviously NYC is a gross city and it has no clean parts anywhere, and then you are sitting at the bottom of the ladder and you see a 4x4 boxing ring with a bunch of rats standing on 2's around it, the rats obviously think this is a big boxing ring but to you it isn't considering you are a human being, suddenly there are 2 fish in the middle of this ring slathered in petroleum jelly and oil, they start to box in this ring and the ring is also coated in water since you are in a sewer system, the fish start to make really wet slapping noises and eventually one of the fish RKO's the other fish into the water creating a sonic splash that echoes throughout the sewer system, the fish originally wasn't in the water but the other fish was, and then the fish jumps into the water intensifying the already insane blast, and a big rush of water comes up and you get covered in this slimy, jelly-like substance that is a thin/thick coat, then the fish begin to wrestle in the water creating splashes and the rats are now freaking out and going crazy because this is a crazy boxing match, one of the fish eventually kills the other fish on accident to drowning, don't ask how it drowned if its a fish, then the fish gets out of the water leaving the ripples around the others dead body, and the small pitter patters of its fin feet can be heard as it slowly walks away bruised and badass, this is Kim-Kardashian wet.

It only applies to non-renewable resources. Potatoes can be grown while granite cannot be. A surprising amount of items are infinite due to mob drops, villager and piglin trading, and bonemeal.

Actually I think you can get infinite dirt by creating coarse dirt with dirt and gravel, gravel can be bartered from piglins, and then till the coarse dirt to get just dirt

@@drfidelis558 yes, but on 100x100 world there's a TON of dirt to begin with, so dirt there is basically infinite This method is also very useful on Skyblock, especially knowing that Nether there is unchanged and there's a lot of gravel even on earlier versions

I'd say hermitcraft wars are actually good because unlike Dream SMP, there's no narrative to make the wars scripted or dumb to watch, on hermitcraft It's just two groups of people having fun.

But there wrre like couple of them would start havoc just to start a war or force us to do so. I mean you can still enjoy a lore based smp, doesn't have to be scripted and such. It would be playing any RPG type games, like Dungeons and Dragons

Due to the way you set up the world border, you actually have a 101x101 world. Make sure you put a .00 at the end of each coordinate when using the /worldborder center command!

i had an smp with my friends that ended up having unplanned lore. like possibly the main event of the server was an explosion in my base, and we’ve had hours of discussions over who it was and we still don’t know. the only planned bit was when we were all getting bored of the server but the government at the time ‘we had governments cos it made it more fun) was really corrupt so we all planned a revolution together to finish off the server

The no war no lore is a rule I really admire of him

You should make a tiny little thing in the sky, so people can go there if they don't like what's happening where they were. Like a "last resort" kinda thing with separate rooms so people don't bother each other. And books to write.

Man I am just glad that Jaron, despite later on becoming a lifesteal member, knows that war makes an SMP more terrible.

This is a great ideas for a small group of friends to play

you can actually get diorite, granite, and andesite as renewable resources. they have crafting recipes

If they went into anarchy i could just picture them planning the perfect plan to take them down literally 7 blocks away in their houses

I enjoy lore but it’s definitely important sometimes to just have a chill server (Not everyone has to do lore ..)

The no lore rule is actually great :D As someone who loves the Dream SMP so much, the lore just gets too much and it gets tiring at times, so sometimes no lore is better than lore.

Fun fact: Andesite, granite, and diorite are all renewable, as diorite can be crafted with cobblestone and quartz, both of which are farmable. Andesite and granite can be crafted through diorite and more cobble. : )

In my server, you can only do bad things if there is a war. Luckily we still have societies that need to be set up. Oh also, no canon deaths. Canon deaths are no fun, buckaroo
