Ich durfte an diesem Event in diesem Jahr endlich auch life teilnehmen. Es war ein fantastisches Erlebnis, extrem gut performed in einer einmaligen Kulisse. Dank an alle Organisatoren und Mitwirkende👍👍👍

My grandad was in the army so he was in the roayl Edinburg tattoo I don't know what year it was

My Granddad was in the first three Edinburgh tattoo l Miss him so much older l get l miss him more

That’s so awesome your granddad performed in the first three tattoos! I’m sure you are proud of him and he would be so proud of the tattoo, and how it is loved and so famous nowadays.

I was in the choir of the Canongate Kirk around 1952-3 , and we sung a hymn on the Battlements of the Castle on a Sunday night , with the searchlight shining up on us and we wee lads looking doon on the audience .And to make it look more authentic the rain was pissing doon on us . Will never forget that moment being 83 now .Duncan Pitkeathly.

Is all people have sanitary passport an are masked obligatory ? only for my information. it's during more 10 years what i'm expecting coming. i stay for holidays in Skye and Higlands in 09/1993. I meeted fabulous peoples. i was in selfcatering, they were my most better hollidays especially with fishmen in Skye who learn me the Squatlobster. It was on the Dunvegan harbour after a walk at Coral Beach. I want come back for the Tatoo of Edinbourg, and so for Hihglands, Skye and Eilean Castle (For me Eilean Castle is mytic than Sir Sean Connery) but now it's very hard to plan a travel or hollidays in these confused time..

Hi! There are currently no travel restrictions in Scotland, however I would always recommend looking online for any updates on Scot.gov. You will definitely enjoy coming to the Royal Edinburgh Tattoo should you decide to visit someday. Scotland is a very beautiful place. Thank you for your comments and questions!

Certainly a side effect of only being allowed to shoot from one location. When the lighting goes direct to that location, large film crews can simply cut in/out to another camera angle.

Always someone moaning

Due to politics ,its sad its just become yet another music show ..

Performers excellent, sound quality very bad!!! Sadly.

Unless you are associated with the event directly, and able to tie into the sound, there is NO way to get even the best equipment to do better sound than that. You are welcome to buy the video from the Tattoo and hope that their sound quality is better... Meanwhile, enjoy the FREE video of this amazing event. I also do NOT agree with you on the sound quality, as it's pretty good for not having 50 mics located throughout the event!
