New Zealand Army: New Zealand Army Band at The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo 2022
Спорт
WATCH🎬 See our New Zealand Army Band’s marching display at The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo recently.
The display features the band’s trademark blend of unique choreography, Māori cultural elements, talented vocalists, humour and intricate drill manoeuvres not normally associated with marching musicians.
During the 2022 Tattoo, the New Zealand Army Band was, for the third time, awarded the prestigious Pooley Sword. The ceremonial broadsword is awarded to “the act that has made the greatest contribution to the Tattoo, as chosen by fellow cast performers”.

Very glad for this professional clip of the performance. I'm pretty sure the BBC one cut some of the performance which goofed me up when I watched this clip. Also, the woman who led the Tarakihi opening song has a stunning voice.
5:11 fucking awesome! Gives me shivers every time I hear the haka! Proud to be Māori!
Awesome. What a fantastically polished performance. Just incredible talent and so lively. Wonderful.
Yes Whānau Tumatuenga
Love this
Wonderful. Proud of you.🎉
Cool love it
Awesome
what was that high school musical
Sadly not a golden buzzer performance. Not even close. Previous years this band has performed exceptionally well. There were far too many risks in this performance which did not pay off. OMC, Dua Lipa and that ghastly ignite song were where the wheels started coming off. The dead corpse performance was revived slightly with Tom Jones but then murdered again with the timewarp. Finally the audience had their eyes and ears gouged out with Robbie Williams - Let Me Entertain You, a song which entered the NZ charts at #33 and then died the following week. At least pick a better song for your finale next year.

@@joshrees1985 wake up its not all about NZ Music .
I have travelled all over the World, I was so proud of our NZ Army Band. I have a collection of videos mainly from various Military Tattoos, saved on my Laptop & I loved showing of the Bands Showmanship & Professionalism. Not any more. It is no longer a Band, it's now turned into a Cabaret Act & a pretty bad one, 2nd rate Vocals & no synergy at all. The days of the Innovative NZ Army have gone & with the name change to The New Zealand Defence Force, we lose the Great Drill & Marching with the little Maverick Streak & the Band takes a back seat to a Squawking Female, an ageing Maori Man, another droning Female, a Male wannabe who must carry a bucket for his tune & loves himself, which is just as well, because he has a voice that only a Mother could love. Great Job Guys, I've deleted the Video & I want be paying to go & see you again in Avenches, Basel or Edinburgh, in fact I won't be going to see you anywhere again.

DON’T YOU DARE DISRESPECT MY COUNTRY LIKE THAT!!!😡
An absolute embarrassment a mere shadow of the standards I was used to, when serving, honestly it was a deplorable mix of rubbish piled on rubbish just cringeworthy. That was not Military bandsman ship in any form. And a 30 member band, nah they have lost the plot.
Cringe

They’ve been doing humorous performances for decades. Long before anyone used the word “woke” to mean anything other than literally waking up.
New Zealand has an army? That's great! Now they have someone to enforce their new cattle fart policy...
