I am lucky to have found my husband without all the bull. We knew eachother in high school and had a bit of a crush on eachother but didn’t say anything. Years after I graduated I was walking to my car after just looking around Target for some reason and I hear a “Hey! I know you!” I turn around and he is coming up to me with a huge smile. We chatted and started to hang out. Not long after that he asked me to date him and I said yes. A few years after that he took me out to eat with my parents on my birthday and took me to see Tangled. We went for a walk around the park later that evening and he asked me “You remember this spot?” It was where he asked me to be his girlfriend. He knelt down on one knee, opened his mouth…and a train went passed us nearby making it almost impossible to hear each other. So he just shook his head laughing “I don’t need words.” and put the ring on my finger. I held him tightly and yelled “YES!” We kiss and after the train finally passed we suddenly hear “I saw the whole thing! Congratulations!!” It was a woman across the creek from us. I’ll never forget it. It’ll be our 10th anniversary later this month.

They all do live in worlds/times where love is often accepted or sought. Modern life have to also deal with society crucifying one for choosing or seeking love. I found love and got my ass handed to me for it. I was very very very shellshocked by just how far society went (and continue to go) in stinging me up for falling in love. I'm not even in a star cross situation or anything and they have actually tried to kill us both and mess with our minds. If either of us were a vampire our story would be an Amanda Ashley novel and we'd be the most put upon couple of her entire collection. A.A fans know what I mean. Learning how modern society treats love and those in love remains the most messed up life lesson I have learnt. Brutal.
