The Rise Of Hurrem #101 - Hurrem's Gaze While Pulling Firuze's Plug "I LIKE TAKING REVENGE"

At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

16:38 Hurrem makes a very valid point. Everyone has been against her since the very beginning and somehow the likes of Mahidevran and Firuze are constantly shielded and protected. Especially Mahidevran because it’s crazy how her wanting to take over the throne and place her son there was instantly forgotten but yes Hurrem is a witch, a tyrant and a slave.

I was about to point out that every concubine mother intended for her son to take the throne...until I remembered the specific event you were referring to and, honestly, yeah, I'm still baffled that so many of her former allies remained with Mahidevran after that event.

Honestly, I used to say it was due to how Hürrem behaved in the beginning that left a strong, lasting negative impression. But like, at a certain point, after SO many years that shouldn't even matter anymore.

valide hated her because daye hatun heard when hurrem told günihal that she will rule the palace and remove everyone and she said the same to mihrimah. Before that she was indifferent toward hurrem and got angry when mahidevran showed jealousy towards hurrem Hatice and hurrem were on good terms in the beginning even though hurrem only got close to her to destroy ibrahim. It was after hurrem said something about ibrahim having a harem( clearly it was to anger hatice cause no woman wants to share her husband but the average hurrem fan thinks hatice overreacted ) Their relationship was completely destroyed when hurrem exposed ibrahim. Again if hurrem minded her own business and actually raised her kids properly, she would be on good terms with hatice. Mahidevran hated her from the beginning and yes she got away with alot but so did hurrem even when she was slave( burning gülnihals face, killing isabella, killing nadia, killing nazenin) In case of valide and hatice, it was hurrems own fault that they hated her

Hürrem was what they made her into and then they stupidly turned her in to something they couldn't handle any longer.

When Hürrem poisoned her best friend and got rid all the other women which slept with Suleyman, it wasn't because they made her like this, but because she was selfish and power hungry!

Hurrem’s comments about the poison are very reminiscent of Ibrahim describing the poison he forces Hurrem to feed to Leo early on

@@SmartHd-hw3ty she breaks down everytime her husband goes to war to the point she cant function. hurrem saves her babies life and brings her out of depression over her husband not being there but still sides against hurrem. meanwhile hurrem tries to help her even warned her that her husband was cheating and she still turns on her. hurrem didnt view her as an enemy until she volunteered to be one. hurrem isnt evil she is just trying not to get murdered by the sultans family. and yeah she did some bad stuff trying to survive but they shouldnt have been attacking her because the sultan loves her. hatice is unhinged.

Hatice was very kind to hurrem in beginning she take Mehmed to hurrem when she was in old palace, she give her refuge to her and her children's when her face was burnt and Suleiman was ill and fight and support hurrem in front of mahidevran but she always stabbed her played tricks on her and used her love life against Ibrahim then she took her babies life by sending poisoned notebook and then she tried to kill her by sending gulsah hatice just fought back to save his husband's and Mustafa s life

How liar hurrem is. Hatice sultan was always fair with hurrem and protected or supported her many times even hafsa sultan was also good to hurrem but she showed them her evil nature and ambitions so they both become against her. And mahidevras attitude towards hurrem is normal being Suleimans wife like hurrem attached princess isebel firuze hatun naznin and many more poor girls

Except there's so much more to it than that. Why would Hürrem view Hatice as a friend when Hatice constantly defended Hürrem's abuser? (Ibrahim). Besides, it's hypocritical for you to say that Mahidevran's treatment of Hürrem was normal while Hürrem's actions were not.

@@hurremsultannss Hatice was against hurrem bcz hurrem was her beloved husband's and beloved nephew's Mustafa (abuser) so don't blame Hatice for being against hurrem. And this is hypocrite behavior that people blame mahidevran to attach hurrem but appreciate hurrem to princess isebel and other concubines. Fact is this hurrem and mahidevran both are Same no one of them is more evil or innocent. Both attached and hated each other.

@@SmartHd-hw3ty Ibrahim was worse to her than vice versa. May I remind you that she only wanted him dead after the Turkish delights incident with Leo? So he was her abuser not the other way around. And that wasn't what you said about Mahidevran. You said what she did was expected and fine. And now you're moving the goalposts saying it's the same. That is disingenuous at best on top of the whataboutism. Do better.
