The thing is Mahidevran was always hiding behind others or using others to make her moves. It was always Valide Sultan, Ibrahim or her son that were her weapons, she didn't have much power or brains on her own. While Hurrem had no one's help and always relied only on herself, achieving her goals in a much smarter and result giving way.

Hurrem did a good job in keeping her cool to the point that Hatice looked ever more out of control as she tried to establish herself as intimidating.

Every word out of Hurrem's mouth is the truth: She would choose poison rather than live without Suleiman. Kind of makes it hard for the "little snake from Persia" to compete or respond...except to lie (again and again) and say she would, too!

But Hurrem her sad immage in the mirror was more powerful than Firuze presence in the room . It was clearly visible he didn't really enjoy/apreciate the presence of Firuze that moment . His face when Firuze asked about when her ring(proof of their love😅) be ready. And about the mirror .. his mood was ⬇️. He sent Firuze away afther Hurrem left .
