it could have been awesome if carson had played his cards right. if he had actually talked with techno it could have been really funny but the whole soundboard thing just made techno uncomfortable and therefore the whole thing awkward. obviously carson couldn't have known that the joke wouldn't land, but i wish he would have stopped once he realized it wasn't working out.

The cash prize is there to make it into an "actual" tournament so people would be more interested in it, the money doesn't actually matter competitively.

Pineapple Daily I’m a stan of a6d, and he has two ibffs that he would play with a lot, who were also in mcm which are badboyhalo and skeppy. They’re real good friends towards a6d, and it was no surprise to me that skep and bad stuck up for him. (Shotgunraids was pretty much included as well, I believe he was/is somewhat close with skeppy)

its been a year and i still can't get over how techno had a 6 winstreak in tnt run, won half of minecraft monday at the sixth week, nearly broke 1900 points at week 10, 5th place in teams as a solo player, and his worst placement was third.

What angered me was keemstar’s immaturity. keem tweeted saying to skeppy that he had no idea who he was in Minecraft Monday even though before congratulating him in a previous tweet. And the view requirement? Also kicking people out of Minecraft Monday 2 hours before the event even though everyone’s hyped up?

The thing with this all is that Techno wasn't even fully trying, he even tried to plug in a steering wheel while he was playing. He was just having fun and cared more about entertaining his fans than winning. This is why everyone getting salty at Techno is so pathetic. Just imagine the commotion if he really tried.

This just kinda proves that Keemstar didn't care and didn't ACTUALLY dedicate time and resources to developing the event. Decision making was lackluster, game roster was erratic and spontaneous, development was practically no existent.

I love how Technoblade has such a big impact on minecraft mondays that one of the tags of the video is LITERALLY TECHNOBLADE

Technoblade also didn't find it funny. He ended up muting Carson. Techno should've told Carson his intentions: "I want to win." and talked to carson about turning off the sound board. But Carson should have also respected Techno's wishes, as a teammate, and turned off his sound board. Both ended up having unsportsmanlike coordination, but Techno still had the skill to rise to the top, Carson didn't. So Carson got the brutal end while Techno has the public's sympathy.

I've kind of shifted that hype onto mcc. I check the teams on and find who's pov I want to watch, and what teams look like fun. (Casually replying two months later)

To be honest, while I mostly enjoyed Minecraft Monday’s content, it wasn’t ran very well. That’s why I’m glad there is Minecraft Championship now, although it’s not consistent, you can tell it’s ran by people who care.

I think it's also cus a good portion of MCM viewers were outsiders from the Minecraft community who just wanted to see big youtubers duke it out and not necessarily watching for the game itself. The other events like MCC and MCU truly are Minecraft events for Minecraft players, both competitive and casual. And it's much less toxic too-only the occasional stan battles that are easily settled in smaller sub-communities.

Moral of the story: Techno is too good, if you try to sabotage him you will just end up getting hacked or hated on (edit: 21:50 keemstar messaged him at the perfect time, nice)

for the LONGEST time, i wondered how the hell so many bugs and glitches and oversights happened throughout Minecraft Mondays, like Techno being able to go between areas in Build Battles (typically, there are admin-only barrier blocks between areas), xQc building at mid, that one Find The Button where the barriers didn't open correctly... and then i saw that Keemstar hosted it, and that explained so much.

Feel like the event would've done better if it WEREN'T ran by the Keem

Techno is good enough at the game to win while still acting relaxed, which might help his teammates perform better compared to having a stressed teammate doing callouts and shouting instructions all the time

People calling Techno a tryhard and all, but on his side, his conversations are generally about buying lasagna as a college "snack" or how Ravenclaw is the best house at Hogwarts because the second word in the name is "claw", which is much cooler than "door", "in", or "puff". The PVP is almost an afterthought to him.

Love this video. Such a fun time for the internet. Hopefully we can get something similar sometime soon, but most of Minecraft Monday came from the gigantic comeback of the game, but now it has sadly died down quite a bit again. It truly was an event! The Minecraft Olympics if you will. Great video.
