I appreciate your bat comments. Such a good card but currently used in too many decks where they arent effective (which is to our collective benefit)

This deck also loves Old Rutstein. That one card slows down monored while you smash overhead.

old rutstein was my fave card until cut down made it unplayable.

you taking netdeck lists is absolutly fine but the amazing thing is that you always call out the guy who played the list in the tournament. alot people sell this list as their own or just not mention the people so i wanna give a big shoutout for you for doing that, thats amazing and very respectable!

Totally agree about the bat. Works great in my vampire deck as draws removal snd slows opponent enough but when a discard deck uses it and I keep dropping spells I don't care about that little bat and laugh when I get the spell back just in time

CGB I thank you, explaining your thought process more. Less dead air, a dumb player like me can glean more information on how to improve. From one Michigander to another keep up the great work.

I'll never understand that, and while I've been abstaining to try other decks, I'm typically a mono red player. If you know you're going to lose, there's no shame in saying good game and conceding. I personally find salting with no means of defensive strategy and/ or no cards in hand to be an insult, both to the opponent and themselves.

It's cuz between the shuffler/hand smoother , MTGA triggers people

People give control grief for "not letting them play" but honestly it's monored that will absolutely win or bounce before you get to see your deck do what you built it to do.

Not mutually exclusive! Both are two sides of the same tedious coin. "get it over with before it has the chance to be interesting" vs "never let it get interesting" are equally deserving of grief.

If you need an idea for a deck, I’ve been experimenting with frog tribal. Uurg and Thalia and the Gotrog go together really well.

Ultimate Guard has great deck boxes. I've got three of their monoliths and they've held up for nearly 10 years.

If you want deck ideas then here’s one: Naya Warriors in a +1/+1 counter shell with Roaming Throne. (Botanical Brawler, Beastcaller, and Voldaren Thrillseeker are all warriors) 😂

The tribal decks are all garbo outside of the most represented types. Ergo this LONG standard has been Humans. And prior to that Wizards printed 4 broken rogue cards that were easy to craft and win with.

I've been playing this for a while. Get the DROSS out quick, and smash. But I had the black 1/1 that scries and gives you a treasure to ramp it out.

Glissa is one of my most favorite cards right now. Insane on defense, insane on attack.

Bat is a thinking player's card, but hot-headed players get away with it enough to make it seem like an auto-include and must-cast on turn 2.

If you're talking about deckbuilding then call it that, I've never heard deckbuilding called "drafting" in my life.

When there's lots of options to choose from, and you choose your favorite 60, that's called drafting from your collection. Going online and being a dingus over having to insert your own context into a KZread comment is kinda funny

standard in mtgo is so different from arena . i could see how a deck like this might work there but not with all the aggressive stuff on arena standard .

Come on man, if you're playing magic play magic, having the opponent rope is one of the most frustrating parts of arena and knowing that it could be because of something as dull as reddit just makes it that much worse. Have a little respect for your opponent, at least until they give you a reason not to.

the arena devs absolutely love monored apparently, its the only explanation.

But I though you said that the bats are tra… NO QUESTIONS!!!

I think the thing that radicalizes me on the shuffler being not OK the most is watching people play these decks, get the absolute nut draw every game, and then throw it all away on basic sequencing mistakes. Its almost like they never had to think about how to play their deck, because it never mattered how badly they played when they just drew another nut draw next turn.
