I think Stephen's in the right about the 50p. The keg shouldn't really enter into the equation, because whether or not Karl paid for it, it was still given as a gift. A gift is, by definition, something you give to someone else without expecting compensation. The wrinkle though is that Karl says that Stephen wanted the lager, and so it's entirely possible that Stephen explicitly asked to have it. Assuming that to be the case, then it's not really fair for him to expect Karl to still pay back the small debt after asking for something much more valuable for free. If Stephen just mentioned that he liked that particular beer though, and Karl decided to give it to him on his own without establishing that, in doing so, they were square for the 50p, then yes, Stephen should have gotten the change.

Stephen was totally in the right with the 50p.

The last part made me laugh. They said he has 30 seconds. "I might do a for and against". He doesn't have time. XD

I agree with Steve's initial point about the principle of not being able to say someone else should waive your debt to them if it's really small. However, if you give someone a keg of beer, even if you didn't get it just for them, that's definitely worth more than a 50p debt. I'd say, if the 50p debate happened before Karl gave him the keg, Steve was right to get mad. However, if he gave him the keg and then the argument happened, Karl's in the right.

A gift is somehting you give for free without expecting payback. If you owe 50p, you owe 50p. Giving someone a gift doesn't erase your loans unless you agree on it.

Steve looked so weird in Logan. Which was fitting seeing as Caliban is a weird-looking bastard, a sort of lanky, googly-eyed goblin as Karl would put it.

Honestly I think Karl doesn’t want to say because he would chose to save neither of them.

If they added any kind of insect to the other end of the ship from where Karl, Ricky and Steve are, this video would've been a lot shorter.

Problem is because its karl who has to save one of them its tricky but if it was steve or ricky who had to decide who to save they would pick each other as those two are more logical in a situation like that. If I was karl I'd probably pick steve because although ricky is very intelligent we know he wouldn't do any work when they crash on the island wheras steve would do.

Wouldn't matter who you saved because ultimately only 1 person will fit in the lifeboat with them around (Steve obviously being very tall and Ricky being fat)

Ricky has more meat for Karl to harvest and consume.

Are they still doing these podcast/ animations ? Or are they split up or dead

I think they stopped this show after the last season and moved on. I think they are semi split up for their own reasons. But I don't know since I don't listen to radio or TV much anymore.

Theres a fun way to turn this around on the people asking you this "who do you save?" scenario, you ask the two parties involved to convince you as to why you should be saved.

This is truly the ultimate question for Karl. Save the eternal irritant that is Gervais. Or save the lanky, tight, goggle eyed freak that is Merchant.

The question is. Would he bother?

I can't imagine ever lending someone 50 cents or a dollar and ever expecting it back, let alone asking for it back, let alone it being an actual issue...and I'm pretty sure Steve had more money here then than I've ever had.

Well ricky is twice the size as stephen, if stephen is properly stuck than surely ricky has been squished and there's no point. Also Stephen would be a quick pull, just yank him out. He's like a rake

I'd choose to let them both die not because of the person even if it's m best friend it'll still be the same because I don't want to share my survival raft or anything on it with anyone or with as little people as possible

Karl has talked about his large house a few time on An Idiot Abroad. He's a fairly popular celebrity in the UK. I know that doesn't necessarily mean he's super rich or anything, but he's probably well off
