Really happy that someone added Pink Floyd to their Rushmore. Also no Beatles? :(
Whatever instrument you were saying Gilmour plays in Pompeii live, I did not found him playing anything other than guitar and harmonica. On an off chance, it might be modular synth.
Happy New Year sir To all
Sheesh! Whats with this obsession on transcribing music more than just enjoying it and playing it its okay if you don't get the entire song note to note down, the more important thing is if you can get the feel down and then improvise on it the way you want.

Fair point. Transcribing actually helps improv playing better. It's language after all, skipping the greatest phrases uttered ever by some of the greatest musicians of all time may not be the right thing/way to go about. Improv has to have context, and transcribing legends gives you that understanding.

@@trpdelhi but won't that just lead you to play mostly a cumulation of phrases by the greats rather than playing something that's more of you and plays inside your head. I tend to think of itnlike singing, when you sing you won't be singing while thinking about a great melody in another song ( you might, everything is a remix anyway) but mostly it'll be a cumulation of how you feel the melody should sound like. Anyways, just my thought, may be i am wrong here
