I grew up watching the Hardy Boyz - no matter where they went, I watched. I knew Jeff had his issues, but when I saw Victory Road 2011 - that was horrible. I, and I know I wasn't the only one, felt so let down by how messed up he was. I turned against Jeff for a long time - but when he came back and cut this promo, I knew he was sorry. I knew he meant it - I gave him that chance he was asking for, and I'm so glad I did. He kept his promise, he stayed clean, he stayed sober - and now look where he is. Thank you Jeff.

He fulfilled his promise about sobriety here too. Such a great iconic chapter too the Book of Hardy. Both him Matt completely turned their lives around and anyone that has ever faced addiction knows how hard it is to climb back out alive. He made huge steps in his life mainly because of the birth of his first daughter Ruby, and same with Matt when his son was born. Shows what the power of child birth can have on an entire family. Thank you God for giving Matt and Jeff their lives back, &STILL on top of the wrestling universe. Too good..

Vbajor10 I just don't think they let Jeff talk enough during that heel run. I don't remember him once conveying how much he "hated" the fans. Hogan and Bischoff usually did the talking or Jeff was saying some gibberish from an undisclosed location. Fans kept cheering cause Jeff didn't go after them on the mic. I for one loved the heel Jeff Hardy. The music was great, the entrance was cool but the messages just didn't click. I thought there was a lot of potential there, even if it got cut short.

Greg Barrett i thought he did fine as a heel. but i do like him more as a face cuz of how he lights up the crowd till their on their feet cheering very loudly.

I absolutely hated this. I really did. His heel character was really starting to find a nice groove. Jeff Hardy as a heel was far superior to Hardy as a face. They should've brought him back as a heel. His face character had become so stale by this point. I was so disappointed.

While it may have been a touching moment, I thought it was a bad move for his character. He should've come back as a heel. There was absolutely no need to break kayfabe by having him cut this promo because Jeff Hardy already was over as a face. He'll always be over as a face. Bringing him back as a heel would've been amazing. The continuation of his heel character growth. Instead, we got same old Jeff Hardy.

If he's over at a face what would make sense keeping him heel Jeff is my favorite wrestler and I liked his heel run but it had many problems and it just wouldn't make sense keeping him heel if fans cheers him every single night after he fucks up

I didn't know he returned until now and jeffs been my idol since i was about 6 years old and i'm 13 now even though hes been off and on on this drug thing, I've never ever lost faith and or liked him any less and as soon as I saw this I started crying, and I didn't even feel the need to it was just to overwhelming because I wasn't sure if they were going to give him another chance. I'm just ecstatic; THANKYOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART @TNAwrestling

You can see that there was people in the crowd who still hated him for what he did in Victory Road. In a podcast with Colt Cabana Jeff said that the match with Sting was an eye opener and he realized he was fucking up his life and his career.

As someone who has gone through pain pill addiction and am on maintenance medication for recovery all I can say is honestly some ppl don’t realise how hard it is to beat, you can’t just stop, for a long time we are just taking it to avoid withdrawal, yes in the end the buck stops with me like Jedda buck stops with him but he’s been very honest and I salute that , again no excuse but the money he makes the fact there’s Doctors’s openly offering wrestlers pills well more in the past they did and of course fans happy to send drugs to them or throw themselves at them and offer them pills, that’s hard. I have to admit while I was in the middle of my addiction I’d of been jealous of Jeff how easily he could get so many pills, that’s terrible isn’t it but I’m being honest and most addicts would feel the same. I’m blessed to be in recovery and Jeff and matt are doing great so he made mistakes but he owned them and the entertainment he has given us and still does is amazing, he shouldn’t be able to do it with all the stuff he’s put his body through with his style but he’s still going. I’m my prayers jeff! And to anyone else going through these problems who reads this, I wish you health , you can do this
