Imagine yourself within the first sixty years after the Resurrection. You have gathered excitedly and secretly with some other 'people of the Way' in some oil-lit room at night... Hush ! One of Jesus' living apostle is here tonight ! And he's here to share the stories about Jesus Christ when He walked on earth with men...! As we listen to JD Pawson share the story of the Christ with us, it occurred to me that that's what it must have felt like to the early believers, listening to eyewitness accounts of the Lord's life and ministry way back then.

Thank you for your clear and easy understanding of Gods Living Word. Blessings.

Good question! I have often thought the same. 1). Isaiah. I'm not sure, but I think it means that the Messiah would neither be a "Knight in shining armour" come to rescue Israel from her oppressors (Romans), nor a "fine specimen of a man" as Saul was. 1 Sam 9/2. On the contrary, He would be unnoticed, despised, & rejected. Is 53/2b,3. 2) Blood AND water. I think there was a Jewish belief that the blood of an innocent man was well balanced between blood cellular material & serum (water). Whereas the blood of an guilty man was imbalanced, with a preponderance of either one or the other. John, who was there at the cross, John 19/26, being a Jew, observed carefully when the soldier rammed his spear into Jesus' side. 19/34. He records his observation: "water & blood". 1 John 5/6. In equal proportions. Admittedly, this has to be read into the text. Nonetheless, John was convinced, (& always has been), that Jesus was the Son of God & without sin.

In very few way sir would I dare to instruct you. We say nearly the exact same thing when our mouth is moving. I see you divided the resurrection on the third day into two time scales. Of course you had no choice or it would not work. If you let Jesus rise from the dead before the sun was down it does not matter which time scale you use they both are perfectly adapted to describe the event. He was awake in the tomb, before he walked out, once the angels made the preparation for him to walk out. He raised from the dead on Saturday, before sundown. the perfect 3 days and 3 nights. I may go as far as say the time he died is likely the same time he awoke, and sat up and later took the time to fold the covering, as an indicator he was moving while inside the tomb but unseen until he leaves alive again. Sir only on this small detail do I dare correct you. I know you hate the switching of time cause it just feels funny.

John 20 - Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been rolled away so she came running to Simon Peter and said " they have the Lord "out of the tomb" Matthew 28 talks about the Angel rolling the stone away but does not specifically state " no one came out of the tomb" - it says no one was in the tomb........ but where was the body ? We do know that after the resurrection Jesus was able enter rooms through locked doors - do you not think Jesus could get out of the tomb without rolling away the stone ? John 24 - Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!”

The church that Jesus built was not visible but of the kingdom of God. Jesus asked Peter 3 times " do you love me?" and "feed my sheep" Jesus also told Peter that he (Jesus) gave Peter the keys to the kingdom and that "his" church would be built on the foundation of Peter . three doors were opened by peters keys. acts 2, acts 8 and acts 10. The 1st door was the jews at Jerusalem where 3000 were filled with the Holy Ghost. Acts 8 takes place in Samaria where Peter was called for to come and lay hands on the ones already believing and had been baptized and they received the Holy Ghost. The 3rd day is in acts 10 when Peter was summoned by Cornelius to come and give a word. as Peter spoke to them they received the holy ghost and spoke in tongues. Peter said I know that God is not a respecter of persons seeing that on the Gentiles the Holy Ghost has fallen on them the same as us 'in the beginning' for(because) we hear them speaking in tongues and magnifying God. Peter started the invisible church. Man took upon himself to build the organized church. when the RCC began they took Christianity and polluted the truth so that no one received truth as Peter opened but convinced people that tongue talking was hogwash- nonsense. I along with a few others, meet at a home while keeping with the invisible church

The timeline of the crucifixion was interesting. This has always been a little problem for me, since Friday to Sunday inclusive is only 3 days & 2 nights, & if you say, as I think you do?, that the resurrection took place late evening, between 18:00 & midnight, as opposed to early morning, (as I had thought), this would only be 2 days & 2 nights by Roman reckoning. (And if it took place at exactly 18:00 would only be 2 days & 1 night by Jewish reckoning!) Whereas Matt 12/40 says 3 days & 3 nights. David Pawson is undoubtedly a man of humour. But I think the audience completely misunderstood him @52:59 "and there are stones everywhere in the Holy Land", (ha!ha! chuckle chuckle) & again @53:49 "He arranged His own death". Amusing? Or tragic? 1:11:54 "Aymen" is horribly American! (OK in America, but in Singapore? And elsewhere?) Correct is "Armeen". 1:16:55 "I was talking to Him only this morning". The world's chief atheist, cynic & relentless baiter of Christians , Dawkins, would arrogantly diagnose David Pawson as hallucinating. And all the Christians of the world brazenly as deluded. The Lord deal with him for his blindness & wickedness!

If you believe that the body in which Jesus arose, is not Jesus' own body, but another body. What is it then, you eat, when you eat the body of Jesus. Take, eat; this is my body. Matt 26:26 Pawson says: that the essence of the resurrection of Jesus was an act of God, where he created a new body for Jesus out of nothing. And the reason for that, pawson says is: God had to remove Jesus' old sinful body and create a new one. misleading us??

Love his teaching but a couple errors in my opinion. 1. He mentioned only 'God' raised Jesus but that's not scriptural...completely. 2. John 2v19 Jesus raises himself. Romans 8v11 Holy Spirit raised Jesus. 3. 1 Cor 6v14 God Raised Jesus. And David's own thoughts on Jesus being clothed is not scriptural but his own thoughts...which are fine but not backed up. Clothes are a result of sin. In my opinion, I don't believe Jesus had to wear them but people either didn't notice simply because they were blinded or indifferent to it , just as Jesus didn't 'appear' as himself to Mary until he revealed himself to her. Another tidbit demonstrating this, possibly, is when Timothy was told to put his hand in the side of Jesus, it's not told Jesus had to move a garment for access.

Hi This is Steve on behalf of David. I also used to struggle with this, as I also struggled when I was first informed Jesus was not born on Christmas Day. Please consider what the Bible says ......and what the Bible does not say 1. The Bible does not say Jesus was crucified on a Friday - John 19:31 Jesus was buried on the day before 'a special' Sabbath, (not the normal Sabbath) .... - There are 7 special Sabbaths or 'High Sabbaths' celebrated each year in the Jewish Calendar - Jesus himself says in Matthew 12:40 .....''the Son of man will be 3 days and 3 nights in the heart of the earth''. If HE was Crucified on a Friday then was Jesus wrong? ... I cannot make 3 days and 3 nights fit between Friday and Sunday . 2. The Bible does not say Jesus was crucified on a Wednesday ..............but if the Thursday was a Special Sabbath , Wednesday would be the day of Preparation.........then there could be 3 days and 3 nights between - The day of preparation ......and the first day of the week .......which would be any time after 6pm on Saturday

1.Cor 15:1-28, Jewish man 2000 years ago was executed as dangerous criminal as age of 33 years old. He was buried 3 days and 3 nights and then he was back with the friends 4th day and he ate supper with them. He stayed around 6 weeks and he disappeared. Millions believe that he is still alive and that he will come back again. World wide religion. 1/3 population of the world confess this. Friends of christianity and enemy of christianity know that everything stands or falls whether Jesus was raised from the dead. If it didn't happen then it has been outright lie. Christianity would fall on together. We have given false comfort and delusion. But if it's like that. Then christianity should die. Jesus said that i am come to build the church, my church. Resurrection proves that he is not just teacher or prophet. Without resurrection you could not believe in Jesus Christ. He said things of himself that would not be true if he would have been raised from dead. He is lunatic, liar or the lord. He was either mad,bad or God. He died . He was buried and he raised again before his body was rotten in the grave. Faith is not about feelings but facts. Most christians don't understand the fact of resurrection of Jesus Christ. 1. Sequence of Resurrection. Jesus sat and teach. Rabbis sat and teach. Why should i can sat and teach... Jesus didn't die on friday. Jesus didn't raise on sunday morning. There is contradictions apparently in Gospel story. Some gospels say that Jesus was in the tomb 3 days and 3 nights. You can't fit into between friday afternoon and sunday morning not possibly. Maybe you were puzzled about it. Other gospels said that he was alive at third day. Those two statements why church developed tradition that Jesus died on friday afternoon. Everybody knows that Jesus had to bury quickly after his death. Jesus died three clock at afternoon and he had to bury before 6 clock when Sabbath started. They had to bury before Sabbath because during Sabbath you can't bury dead people. They hurried through the funerals. That Sabbath wasn't saturday. John's gospel tells that it was special day of Sabbath, Jewish day passover feast began at one special day Jewish sabbath. Jesus died before that special day of sabbath. This next fits to evidence. Jesus died on the wednesday afternoon 3 pm. Thousands of lambs were throats cut at 3 pm. Jesus died exactly that moment. Our passover lamb was sacrificed for us. Jewish day starts at 6 pm previous evening from sunset. Jewish day comes from sunset to sunset. Jews count the day from sunset to sunset. Weekly Sabbath was on Saturday and it ended 6 pm. First day of the week began. First day of week started at 6 pm on Saturday evening. Jesus rose between 6 pm and 00.00 midnight on saturday evening. For the Jews it was first day of the week. Women came to the tomb long before daylight next morning and the tomb was already empty. Jesus died on the wednesday afternoon 3pm after the day before passover Sabbath. Jesus rose again on Saturday evening between 6 pm and 00.00 midnight. Significance For the Jews first day starts at 06m saturday evening and jewish day begins from sunset and ends to sunset. For jew 6 pm saturday evening starts the first day of the week. We think that whole day consists of morning, day, evening and night.. Genesis 1 says Bible begins, there was evening and morning the first day. From that Jewish reckons the day from sunset to sunset according to the scripture. Roman calendar day come from midnight to midnight and we have inherited that from Romans.. We think that day starts from midnight to midnight. Jewish nation were occupied under Romans. They had two calenders and clocks. If Jesus died on the wednesday afternoon 3pm and Jesus rose saturday night after 6 pm. Then Jesus was three days and three days like Jesus said he would be and also it fits for Roman thinking and jesus rose from third day according to romans' thinking. Saturday 6 pm to midnight was third day for Romans'... Jesus wasn't born in the year 00. Herod the Great who tried to kill Jesus after he was born. Relatives of Jesus was born and Herod the great died 4 bc. The calendar what we use is 4 years wrong. If we assume that Jesus was born 4 bc. 29 ad. when jesus was 33 and he was put to death. Passover began on a thursday. First Sabbath was on thursday and Jesus died on wednesday the day before the lambs was killed before Sabbath according to exodus 3pm afternoon. Lambs were killed 3 pm afternoon. Suddenly the whole bible fits. Jesus rose from first day of the week. Most important thing is that Jesus died for you. I deal historical facts. When you look everything what bible says about resurrection of jesus and death of jesus. There will be contradictions in time table if we think that jesus died on friday evening and rose sunday morning.. Jesus rose from first day of the week and that started from saturday set 6 pm. Jesus was out of the grave long before sunrise according to the bible. Jesus Thursday, Friday and Saturday Jesus rose 6pm saturday between evening to 00.00 midnight. Jesus rose in first 6 hours of Saturday evening because for Romans thursday, friday and saturday. Saturday was 3th day for romans. Phrase fits to 3rd day because midnight starts 4th day for Romans. Midnight to midnight for roman's timing and so Jesus had be risen before saturday and sunday midnight. 3rth day for Roman timing and and 1th day of the week Jewish timing. Check out from your own bible. When Jesus died and jesus was buried on the tomb of the rock and they rolled the rock before tomb of jesus. The rock weighted tonss kg. It took 20-30 people to roll that stone. It was great and heavy stone. It was sealed . SOldiers were ordered to guard the tomb three days and three nights. Because Jesus said that his father won't rotten in the grave and it was vital to keep jesus in the grave.

Do the scriptures tell us that Christ died for our sins as Mr Lawson, informs? Are not the Gospels also classified as scripture-scripture however which relates a very different version of the death of Christ. For in the Gospels we find that Christ died for his own sins not for any sins of humanity.

@@DavidPawsonMinistry Hello, Steve, If we look to Luke 23:37, we find- And the soldiers also mocked him, coming to him, and offering him vinegar, saying, If thou be the king of the Jews, save thyself." Above the head of Jesus and fixed to the cross was a declaration which read ' THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS' Jesus was convicted on his own reply to the question addressed to him by Pilate: “’Art thou the King of the Jews?’ And he answered him and said, ‘Thou sayest it.”’ Louis Waller informs "The insurrection or treason inherent in that claim to be the king, not appointed by the Emperor of Rome, was a heinous crime under the Lex lulia Maiestatis, which Augustus enacted in 8 BCE. It carried the punishment of death." Regards

HI Edward This is Steve on behalf of David - this site is not the appropriate place to engage in a conversation but I must correct you, Christians ''do not believe Jesus was crucified because of his own sin''...The Bible says Christ was without sin - 2 Cor 5:21 Yes - Jesus was convicted and punished to death but not because of his own sin . Let me please summarise what Christians believe and what the Bible actually says. Please check this for yourself . May I also recommend watching Davids teaching on the New Testament Book - Romans Seven verses to summarise what Christian believe:- 1. ''All have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God ''.....Rom 3:23 2. ''The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus ''....Rom 6:23 3. ''But God demonstrates his own love for us in this : Whilst we were still sinners Christ Died for us'' ....... Romans 5:8 4. ''In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God, He became flesh and dwelt amongst us '' ....John 1:1 ....and later in John 1 vs 14 ''He became flesh and made his dwelling amongst us .....'' 5. ''God made him who had no sin to be sin for us so that in him we might become the righteous of God'' ....2 Cor 5:21 - 6. ''Christ died for sins once and for all the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to Christ''.....1 Peter 3: 18 7. ''We have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of christ once and for all'' ....Heb 10: 10

@@DavidPawsonMinistry I am surprised that you say your site was never intended for conversation when the opposite is found to be the case. Is it that you find the notion that Jesus died on account of his own sins so distasteful that you attempt to dissuade any contrary view or account? t would be a sad day if it were so. Biblically speaking the plain truth is that Jesus was executed for the crime of sedition. Pinned to the cross above his head was a board on which was written 'King of the Jews' Under Roman law, anyone who claimed to be a king was guilty of rebellion against the emperor. The normal punishment was crucifixion. There can be no valid counter argument to the offence to which Jesus was found guilty of. Unless, of course you deny that Jesus was ever the king of the Jews.

@@edwardlongfellow5819 Hi Edward : We are few in number in Davids Ministry team we don't have the resources to monitor every conversation on every video David has uploaded to KZread - over 300 in total. What I feel or believe is not important - we either accept what the Bible says or we reject it .....it's simply a matter of choice and free will 2Cor 5:21 says .........Christ had no sin ..... 1 Peter 3:18 says .................The Righteous died for for the Unrighteous Christ may have been condemned to the cross by Pilate's action, because he claimed to be the ''King of The Jews'' but Pilate himself said John 18:38 - I find no basis for a charge against him John 19:4 - a second time Pilate said I find no basis for a charge against him Jn 19:6 - Pilate handed him over and said ''you take him and you crucify him, as for me I find no basis for a charge against him Jn 19:12 - the Bible says ''From then on Pilate tried to set Jesus Free'' ....Christ died without sin ....... so we may be made holy - Heb 10:10 ....... I have no more to say. Im not going to spend any time arguing what the Bible says .... either you read it and believe it or we are just wasting each others time and there will never be any agreement between us. You are entitled to your own view and opinion ...and I pray the Lord will bless you
