Thank you so much, Mr Pawson, for bringing us all these valuable truths. On one hand it may not be important which day Jesus died but on the other hand the Bible gives details (e.g. John mentioning the "special sabbath") which enlighten us to truth. If these truths, big or small, are not taught Christians start to believe error, accepting traditional teaching like the Good Friday death of Jesus which doesn't make sense, without realising that their faith is being undermined. So weak personal faith can result, along with lack of confidence to share a gospel that is inconsistent and nonsensical.

PS to my other comment. Only in Matthew it is stated how and when the tomb opened. Many think that it had to be opened for Jesus to get out, but of course not. When He went to see the disciples He walked through a closed door. The tomb was only blown open to show Mary and the other women, that the Jesus was not inside. It certainly did not mean Jesus was raised right then as then they would have seen Him come out. No it was opened and the angel sat on top kind of saying "see take a look for yourself" My point is that Jesus could have been risen at around three o'clock on Sabbath day. Which means the guards were guarding an empty tomb that last night!! Of course I may be wrong but this certainly fits regarding the fact there was an extra sabbath on a Thursday that year. (Probably something the Romans were unaware of, usually they would never crucify a Jew just before a Sabbath knowing by experience Jews were not allowed to touch a corpse on their Sabbath day. ) It all makes sense, all fits perfectly.

Hi! i have a question. i am taking notes on my tablet while listening. At 16:47 DP talks of Jesus being at the place of the dead, preaching the gospel to those who drowned in the days of Noah. Can you help me understand why Jesus said to the thief on the cross, "Now you'll be with me in Paradise" is paradise and heaven the same place? He should be in Hades right during that period 😅😅😅😅😅

It is a very interesting question and not simple to answer - even if there is an answer it is certainly is a mystery Firstly may I say the word used by Jesus as "Paradise": is not used anywhere else in the Bible and is different to the word Jesus used for Heaven ........ in summary David teaches the Bible indicates there are three stages to life - life on hearth where we have earthly bodies - Paradise a place where we go when we die awaiting the day we receive our resurrected bodies and then, life eternal where we will live with Jesus in the new earth - not heaven There are two specific recordings of David you may be interested to hear Davids talks on "Life after Death" www.davidpawson.org/resources/series/life-after-death and his series Final Facts where he talks about Heaven and Hell kzread.info/head/PLfk5IZQHKovL2yUmpff3ZB3BAF4diUlzK We think of Jesus as the man but Jesus is also wholly God (John Chapter 1) and as such after his death there is nothing to say he cannot be in more than one place at he same time

@@DavidPawsonMinistry Thank you for your response whoever you are. I was thinking right after I posted my comment that perhaps the Lord went to both places, maybe he went to sheol or hades and then to the kings courtyard, The paradise. But i was waiting for your response for I know you'll have a better explanation. Indeeded its a mistery, i just realised while typing this comment thatmy skepticism should not lead me to Sinful doubting. Now I like how it is a mystery for us, so we'll have more faith in Him. I heard Mel Gibson Will be filming a sequel of the Passion of the Christ entitled The Resurrection. It will focus on what happed to the Lord when he went to sheol. perhaps we'll have an idead, I hope it won't go far from what is true in the Bible. Thanks for your response, been learning a lot. May God continue to bless dP's ministry.

I wouldn't want to go into a Catholic church or an Eastern Orthodox church, they are not the church with their statues, icons and crucifixes. I would not feel comfortable in either of them.

I asker for help, for prayers, for God's comfort. Nothing, nobody cares. So sad that I have devoted all my 20 some years of health helping others, now I am in need and no body cares. I exchanged my health for that of others and God then abandoned me, how evil.

Pure evil through and through, there is no good in christianity, you all just pretend to be good when it's going good for you. Nobody ever seeks to help. Your God is evil if he seeks glory in the ulter pain of others. Pure evil

I would like to know why does the bible and bible teachers always say that we must endure pain, for when we stay firm in belief while in pain, God will have Glory. Can't he have glory some other way, why must he rejoice in our pain?

@@Aspie37 what is your point? According to DP, even after the seperation of the body and breath, the soul has consciousness. My question is if Adam was not conscious before his body and the breath of God were combined then how will he be conscious after they are seperated? The consciousness ceases to be. "The dead know not anything". When breath of life from God and the body combine - there is life and man 'becomes' a conscious soul. When the process is reversed the soul ceases to be. It does not remain conscious and float around in heaven or hell.
