I have studied Rom 9-11, I thought, in depth, but this is way beyond what I got out of it, and one with the Spirit of the Word.

I do understand what he is saying to a point. Chapter and verse are efficient for referencing passages and easy to find. Nothing wrong with that. The problem is the Christians do not read the entirety text. Nothing wrong with dividing with chapters etc. If I want to know about John 3:16 I just open the bible and get the complete text. Simple why making a big deal out of that? There is a flow regardless of chapters. Any reader should know that by now. I’m happy they put chapters and verses and it is 66 letters scroll 📜 books in one book called bible. Easy to Cary and easy to quote.

Hi Joseph - you are correct in that Chapter and verse is useful as a reference point but there is a danger in quoting chapter and verse out of context for example John 3:16 is used as the ''Gospel'' - you can open the Bible and read the entire text if you choose to do so - but if you do not then you never know teh context of Jn 3:16 is actually a rebuke to Niocodemis, a scholar who should have known better ...... that despite all of the things that happened God still sent his son ...... Other examples where texts are taken out of context include Rev 3:20 "Behold I stand at the door and knock - If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me" So what does this really mean - does it mean if you open the door, Jesus will come into your life ? - if you open your Bible and read the context - this verse again was a rebuke - a warning, a chance to avoid Gods wroth a warning to the Church in Laodicea......a church full of Christians that already knew Jesus, however they were neither hot nor cold .....''So because you are Luke warm I am about to spit you out of my mouth'' ....this was Gods arm outstretched offering a last chance for a church to be saved - if there was just one man who heard Gods voice, God would come back into the church and the Church would be saved Where a text is divided eg into chapters, one assumes a chapter is self contained - ie it starts and it ends There are many examples in the Bible where a chapter divisions are in teh wrong place and what is being said does not end at the end of the chapter but continues ......and the truth is only understood if you read the beginning of next chapter as well. the text carries on into the next chapter - rather than the next chapter is a new chapter ........... I understand the context by reading what is before and after. Any serious reader would do that. Are you being sarcastic what? You think 🤔 we just read John 3:16 and build up a doctrine from one verse? Ordo John 3:16 is considered the nut shell of the gospel in one verse. Just that verse without reading the context is sufficient to saved the whole world. I think you don’t believe once saved always saved by your interpretation of revelation 3:20?

@@josephrobi6806 Joseph many thousands of people watch these videos on KZread - and tone of the greatest challenges for Christians today and Churches for that matter is that people no longer read their Bibles. Many Churches do not teach the whole Bible ............That is not everyone - but it is the case for many christians Davids whole ministry was focussed on getting people to read the Bible for themselves - and not to believe or accept any text men or women quote to them but to read the Bible for themselves and to make sure they understand the context of any verse that is quoted. Its great that you read your Bible - many others do not and its important for them to understand the dangers of taking verses out of context - I apologies if you feel my response was sarcastic, I am concerned for those that watch KZread videos as a substitute for reading their Bibles - ending up with a misunderstanding of the Truth You are correct I do not accept once saved always saved - I am not saved until Im saved and the New Testament is clear I will not be saved until I complete the race. Which is clear ie The Messiah said Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel - so on that occasion you are correct but that was a specific occasion ……Jesus came first to the Jews and it cannot be taken in isolation ignoring Matthew 28 the commandment Messiahs gave after his death and resurrection - why is there an apparent contradiction? I suggest to you it is only after his death and resurrection does Jesus give the great commandment to his disciples who were Jews to go and make disciples of the Gentiles Matthew 10:28 May give you some insight into this “When you are persecuted in one place, flee to another. @@DavidPawsonMinistry you talk for hours but it's all doctrine assuming that the Greek translation is free of Greek terminology and ideology being inserted into the text his followers were first ( called christians) at Antioch by Greeks so Greeks called Israelites christian Israelites we're not Jews Judaism was a religion then as it's now a religion not a nationality many nationalities converted to Judaism in antiquity after learning of the Israelites way of life during our captivity !

@@esercye You are right and we agree in that the New Testament is written in Greek and we must read the New Testament with an understanding of Greek 'thinking' which is very different to Hebrew thinking. Its not difficult David studied the Greek language and culture and there is a free teaching which he called "DeGreecing" the Church which supports some of the very arguments you make We live in a world where today no one knows what's the Truth? - If Boris or Donald Trump make a statement, many millions believe them - whether what they say is true or not , the Truth is no longer black and white ........ teh Truth is what or who you want to believe I base my belief on teh Bible and Trust God for the rest - my faith is quite child like but Ive found through experience it cannot be any other way The Apostle Paul spoke greek as did the Doctor Luke so we have to trust in their skills and commitment for the original writings. The writings were copied many many times over and we dont have the originals. Many of the first Christians were Jews but very quickly there were also many Gentile Christians and there were many challenges with a growing church without formal leadership training - word and mouth which is why the NT was formed - to give some consistency to what was being said and taught - bringing together those documents of that time that could find their origins back to the Apostles There comes a point where we have to trust Gods influence to ensue His word was communicated correctly. That does not mean the copy we have is not without error David also wrote a book on Church history which you can read, online free of charge, www.explainingbiblicaltruth.global. It's called "Where has the Body been for 2000 years ?" It covers how the New Testament was developed and the role of Catholic thinking on the first Bibles. It is up to us to read before and after to get the context. It is not a good video not accurate. Complaining for nothing. That could’ve done better by simply saying be careful not just to quote John 3:16 but understand what is before and after etc.

If those jews in christ are the same as us, why not call themselves Christian's? Ive never liked the messianc jew title, feel it keeps the divide and pushes the antisemitic sentiments we can see in some churches.
