In reality friends, we need to stop our boasting, keep our hearts open and our mouths shut. The whole world needs to sit down - and LISTEN to the words of God. The word LISTEN still needs to be learned. Our time is short indeed, yet the world can't give up their cotton candy which makes us feel sickly and dumb-minded. When will we LEARN??????? We all long to be loved, but we still can't receive it. Great sadness, and the world suffers needlessly. Great prayer burden.

I love that you pull scenes from the Gospels series. I have them all and they are BY FAR the best bible-based gospels movies I've ever seen. I love the way they are shot, and love that it is word for word interpretations!

Each of the Apostles underwent an internal transformation while keeping a bit of their original "trademark grit" -- for example, Peter *was* known for being very decisive and managing a fleet of fishermen during an almost impossible time when the natural resources were depleted by military occupation and other issues. Similarly, James and John, "Sons of Thunder" were known for keeping and following the laws strictly and being protective of the concept of what was right. Following Christ in His inner circle bridged the gaps in their spiritual wisdom and allowed them to heal from the traumas in their lives, which allowed them to think more compassionately towards one another as brothers in Christ and to the thousands of others whose lives they would ultimately touch in their journeys and healing lectures/actions as Ministers of Christ. James was the first Apostle to be put to death. John seems to be the first to formally chronicle his experiences, perhaps worrying that the rest of them would have to carry on without the memories of the original 12. Matthew, who was a trained "keeper of accounts" also Chronicled, but more precisely his own experiences. Later on, Mark (who was a young noble serving as apprentice/translator to Peter) and Luke (physician and scholar who worked with Paul in his Ministry) also worked to interview and record as many stories as possible. And so we have the collection of gospels, which is interesting. Going back to the Sons of Thunder, James and John were very passionate in their following of the laws, and later on in their faith. While they weren't Zealots like Simon the Apostle, Christ saw the positive (passion) and called them to let go of the negative (anger), which prompted them to "call down the thunder" when someone offended Christ (Luke 9:54).

What an incredible story!.

It's a beautiful act of love just one of Jesus act towards us , now we must act the same way and show this to others . Very powerful prayer 🙏 amen 💯💞

Wow I did not realise 2 of the 3 in Jesus' circle were these 2 brothers till I watched this & did further research! I can certainly understand their forthrightness & zeal for Jesus. Just as He did with Peter, Jesus saw not their issues, but their hearts & their potential. They are so different from those normally chosen to be leaders. Very touched that yet Jesus trusted & chose them to be in His innermost circle.

I read the book written about them. It was sort of fictionalized based on the scriptures. I loved it. It helped to understand them and 'see' them in the scriptures.

The title could signify that they were to speak like God himself-as personal spokesmen for God” “This title gave them special rank of authority and, along with Peter, they were the only apostles to witness the Transfiguration and to hear the voice of God the Father himself (and in vision to see Moses and Elijah) (Matt 17:1-9). This experience rendered the jurisdiction of those three men as superior to the other apostles and it singled them out for a special purpose. Peter was to be in charge of congregational affairs (Matt 16:17-19), but James and John were to have the distinction of being ‘Sons of Thunder’-to thunder forth his words to the people as did Moses”. It wasn’t because they were full of anger or had a bad temper......

That is a false assumption. Jesus set no Apostle above the others. “Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever *ye* shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” {Matthew 18:18} But he turned, and said unto Peter, "Get thee behind me, satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.” {Matthew 16:23}

@@nickydancy4087 I think you’re missing the point this is a copy and paste from another article the point I’m making is they were not the sons of thunder because they’re angry, but rather because it was referring to the voice of the Lord because his voice sounded like thunder, and they would be speaking for God especially once the holy spirit fell and Jesus had left, my point wasn’t if they were the favourites or not it’s kind of a relevant if I’m honest. I was more referring to the misconception that he was using in his video regarding the use of thunder, i’m rather surprised how people just didn’t get that point out of what I was saying but started a debate on if I thought they were the most popular or not. I’m sure Jesus loved them all equally, but he used them differently though, and they were referred to as the sons of Thunder because they were going to be boldly speaking his voice, and no Jesus is not prejudice, but if you just watch the entire video he was speaking about them being angry, again this was the point I was trying to make. There was a miss interpretation on the word thunder, I hope this clears this up!

John never had a “religion of anger” don’t make stuff up! John wasn’t “consumed by anger” or “motivated by anger”, you are falsely accusing John, you were not there, you have no idea, so don’t make things up.

I don't think he had an anger issue either in fact he and Andrew were with John the baptist till Jesus came on the scene, it was more likely Peter had the temper and was impulsive cos he did say Lord depart from me for I am a sinful man, he also swore at ppl the night be betrayed Jesus when he denied him so he probably had a bit of a tradie mouth

They were called the sons of thunder because of their mom. It was a funny dig at her buy Jesus for being mouthy. That's day one stuff.

I believe John the baptist was the transformed New man who received a new name which was Jesus. Meaning, Jesus is John the baptist after his new birth.. just like every son born from above.. christ IN YOU. The clues are hidden within scripture.

Do we really believe that Jesus would name James and John "the sons of thunder" as a negative name? We're talking about Jesus, all Man but also all GOD. The understanding given in this video about James and John being called by Christ "the sons of thunder" is not Truth. For those who've read what James and John asked, we definitely know that they did ask the Lord if they should call down thunder on ones, but the Lord didn't give them this name to imply negativity, but hoping that they would use the "power" that He gave them for good and not for evil, which is why this name is mentioned in Mark 3:17, as it explains how His disciples would have power, Mark 3:14-19. It's like when He called Peter "the rock," Peter was not yet ready to be the foundation of The Church, but Christ was calling forth that which was destined to be. He wanted James and John to become the "sons of thunder," to use their power for good. This is one of the problems I have with The Church, we believe it's negative to be in WARRIOR. Yeshua was a LOVER and a WARRIOR, and there was nothing wrong with James and John being called "sons of thunder," using their power to help to take down the enemy and their evil, protecting themselves and the sheep, and helping to heal and deliver those from demonic oppression and possession. Just like Christ, we're to be LOVERS and WARRIORS, and if we want to help win this war, it's not going to be won by LOVERS. The Lord revealed to me that He is breaking through in this hour, and He is not breaking through as Bridegroom King, He is breaking through as Lion of Judah, and He is coming to make war, Revelation 19:11, WARRIOR MODE. We need to realize the hour, and be willing to not just be LOVER, Loving the lost back Home to Christ Jesus, but we are also supposed to be WARRIOR, to help defeat the evil of the enemy. If we don't realize this, as WARRIORS help win wars, then we're already defeated, and we will not make it till the end.
