Gary Kent is the speaker for The Incredible Journey media ministry. He holds a B.A. in Theology, M.A. in Ancient History & Archaeology, and M. in Divinity. Was Hasel a international Bible student? A fore runner of Jehovah's witnesses?
The Franz Hasel of this program was a devout student of the bible, but was not a Jehovah's witness.
This was an excellent presentation and I did not realize the Christian emphasis at the end, but I am blessed by it. I have admired this woman since I was a child and the fact that her Christianity led her forward makes her story that much more powerful. She was truly a remarkable woman,. good job.

Hi What a profound journey for Albert Namatjira who found faith in the real Jesus not a ‘WHITE MAN’S GOD’ coming to remove him from his aboriginal origins! His water colours are spectacular as also the landscape itself is ! The miracle of the water coming to Hermansburg is so in keeping with the God of the Bible, OUR GOD,who provides rivers in the desert for His people! Such an incredible story ! Hasel decided to show mercy, and in turn was shown mercy. Reminds me of the verse, "Be merciful as your Father in Heaven is merciful." -Luke 6:36

The uniform isn't even correct. It's from the GDR (East Germany) from ca. 1970.
In all my years in studying World War 2 never heard of him.
I feel stressed I'm not married right now but I find comfort in looking after other people's dogs...They help me to cope under stress..The oxytocin effect also helps...especially women need lots of oxytocin 😊 of course men need it as well but more so women need it as it is the bonding hormone...I thank the Lord for creating animals...

History will repeat again. The pope doesn’t change and will not change, and persecution will arise again towards the faithful followers of Christ. “The Catholic system” is teaching contrary to the Word of God. Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, Jesus is coming soon! 🙏

I would’ve love to see it had Franz Hasel and Desmond Doss gotten to meet, both men had fought in some of the most brutal battles of the war, and yet refused to carry a weapon, never took a life, and both survived the war. Although they fought in different theaters of the war, Desmond Doss fought in the U.S. Army Pacific Theater

Oh geez, I would have loved to watch this but the narrators voice is so slow, weak and boring I just couldn't do it.
Everyone wants to jump on band wagon or follow who is most powerful. It takes real conviction and courage to go against a whole country.
I have been carrying my cross here in America and I've went to 3 states so far. But I have been so discouraged. I'm usually a very joyful person but I've been very broken the past 3 or 4 days. Please pray I do not give up carrying my cross. I know this is what God wants me to do. I need for God to send breakthrough so I can go more places. I don't want my life to be a failure anymore. I live a life of obedience and I do everything I can to live morally pure before God. I need for God to believe in me a little. Just encourage me that I'm not a failure.

Sadly, the only record of this man seems to be on 7th Day Adventist sites. I suspect this story is at least partially fiction. If this man's story was this amazing, someone else would have written about it. I don't doubt that a man like Hasel could have held to his pacifist beliefs throughout the war, but the stories about him warning locals before the SS came seem far-fetched, and the story about the Cossack is simply unbelievable. It sounds more like a parable than a true story. Some will claim that's what makes it so compelling, but to me it's evidence that someone is stretching the truth.
