I have carried this pen for 7 months and I absolutely love it. Its by far my favorite pen.

Absolute best pen 4 bolt action that is Snappy and that copper II behind the action gives it a little pop of color I love this thing for EDC I love it for writing around the house ..I love the pocket clipb, I love how Snappy and addictive the action is- this pen is better than the tactile turn Bolt to me.. Love this titanium bolt action pen buy refyne

I got one on KickStarter about six months ago... I love the length, it lives in my left front pants pocket every single day. I find the quality fairly good, it’s not super refined, but sure does work without fail. The pocket clip is outstanding.

Owned the stainless steel version of this pen for months. No complaints about it. It's a great pen. Feels higher quality than the price point. Buy it!

Good review, ordered my this past week and looking forward to getting it and using a lot.

I recently purchased the gunmetal design and I absolutely love it. Writing with it is very smooth and the fact that it is refillable is an A++! Great pen for the price. I'm thinking about purchasing another one.

I have been looking for a decent pen under 50. This is the second good review on these, Thanks Nick. Still not getting into watches! 😄

Hey great review! Got 5 of them now they have a lot more choices. Got gunmetal gray, copper, stonewashed titanium and now a black pvd stonewashed and my favourite full brass. I’m in love with all of them; the fit and finish is way better but what is the best is that the customer service is top notch. Great company Really recommend to everyone looking for a great bolt action pen with super fidgety action and a lot of ink choices!

I love my PVD coated pen from them I got off Amazon. It came within a few days. I also replaced the refill with the Fisher Space refill in bold because I am a bold man. It is very comfortable to write with and I love how slim and easy to carry it is. The bolt action is a lot of fun to flick, I often find myself fidgeting with it while I think. Thir customer service team are fantastic too.

That rubber o-ring in the front part is what I once tried to explain to you that comes in some Twosun knives pivot screw. I think it prevents screws getting loose

Just ordered one in brass. The first pocket pen I bought was the one you said you find in your pocket most. Ridiculously excited

ep1 is so far my favorite bolt action, my tactile turn short is to thick and spring is way to strong. should have went with the slim, but don't like the clip.

I bought one of these a little less then a month ago it’s a nice pen but 2 weeks into having it I bent the clip went to remove the clip and the screw on the top piece snapped off also the bolt on mine was pretty gritty a little drop of oil fixed it but overall for the price it’s not a bad pen I just bought a tactile turn and it’s amazing way better machining but for the price it should be but great review.

You know Hampton inn is very glad you took that pen. That’s the best return on advertising they have ever received. Lol

I love your reviews and have never commented that I know of. With this I have to say, about the bad/ugly, if I was paying 99+ like you do for a tactile turn I would be concerned with the machining. With the pricepoint on these I do not expect the same level of precision, if it had the same level of precision as a tacturn, it would be putting people out of business. Just my thoughts on it.

Is this pen awkward for right handlers? It seems to be going the opposite way than the tactile turn pens.

After watching many videos about this pen, it seemed to be perfect. Until I received one yesterday and immediately returned it. 2 issues: there is too much play in the front hole (oversized) so that it rattles when you write, and it is just too short. The bolt action hits my hand. I thought about purchasing the longer version, but it takes the Pilot style G2, not the Parker style G2 refill.

Would this be Compatible with a pilot g-2 1.0mm bold cartridge?

Btw, you can remove the top by just using your hand, no screw driver needed.

Would this be inconvenient for a lefty?

Has someone a valid alternative? I live in Italy so for me the pen will be much more expensive due to taxes. A place to buy it in Europe could be fine too. Thanks

Definitely go tactile turn, this (the refyne) is the more budget option and although it is great for the price tag, if you were already willing to spend the money on a tactile turn then go for it. It is much smoother and higher quality than the refyne and comes in much better materials. But if you are only willing to spend about $50 then the refyne is the best option.

@@noahzelkin2352 I have had a tactile turn shaker for a year and i do love the pen. However, the nock became loose and the small amount of aluminum lip surrounding the recessed clip became dinged and eventually peeled up. I have sent pics to tactile turn but perhaps not covered by warranty. Either way i do enjoy the pen but it's not as sturdy as I originally anticipated.

I’ve watched this video several times and I still laugh when he says, “Turn the pen off??” 😂

one thing I notice on bolt actions, I wish they would make them so that when the refill is deployed, the bolt sits towards the clip instead of sitting further away from the clip when deployed. when they go the opposite direction, the bolt ends up sitting opposed to the clip and can make writing uncomfortable as it wants to hit your hand if it rotates in hand as your writing. when the bolt actuated and sits towards the clip when deployed, it takes up much less space and is much less obtrusive when writing if that makes any sense to anyone lol I have a bunch of bolt action pens and the ones that actuate toward the clip are better and more comfortable specislly like on the fellhoelter ti bolt, where on that pen the bolt to actuate it is very large and also actuated away from the clip, nick even notes in his video how its uncomfortable on the fellhoelter

bingo!! "having only that one position that works well" that's exactly why I'm saying the bolts need to go to the left towards the clips if its gonna have em lol even this pen does and it still only has one position that works well but partly cause it's so short too. but when the bolts go the other direction they literally sit opposite to the clip nearly

I like to have the bolt and the clip between the index finger and thumb when I’m writing.

Great review. I can't stand pens that don't post as well. Interestingly, their smaller version of this pen DOES allow you to post, so maybe they took some feedback and acted on it?

I ordered one of these from drop for 35. I'm hoping I like it but it's a damn good price. I bought a tiscribe and a tactile turn and I didnt get the quality I had expected for so much money. I returned them the same day I got them.

It says on there site it also takes a pilot G2 insert, so that alone is a win for me.

Where are you from? What is your ethnicity? How do you get your voice?

I would already have this pen if it werent for the poor design for refills. Parker gel refills have to be the worst thing I have ever used which makes this pen a difficult sell for me as I only use gel unless I am using a fountain pen. Anything that cant take a pilot g2 refill is a hard sell for me. Sad though, they priced this pen properly, some of these other companies such as tactical turn want $100 for the same thing.

Couldn't agree with you more, love the G2 and refuse to buy any more Parker compatible pens. I find it hard to enjoy any of the parker style refills but sometimes I can tolerate the Itoya GP-R7 although I appreciate a thicker line.

I believe the itoya refill works and its gel. But, remember with gel it runs out so fast.

Nick, I was really loving mine till it rolled off my lap, hit my wooden floor, and broke the clip off. There's a tiny screw holding the clip - clamp in place. It apparently is super fragile. I looked at the Amazon reviews and I'm not the only one this has happened to. 😕 I haven't seen this level of fragility in much less (or much more) expensive pens before.

I will never understand why someone will buy a expensive pen that isn't a fountain pen. On these custom ball pens, all the writing difference is in the cartridge, not something the maker of the pen can influence

I don't get the middle of the road, like these. A lot of people appreciate the machining of pens like tactile turn, which I understand. Either go big or just buy a box of G2s

I know tactile turn is not the only bolt action pen and this is a grey area but this pen is basically intellectual property theft, a cheaply made replica of a tactile turn second gen. I am really surprised you are even reviewing junk like this.
