This is the golden era for Star Trek. The ship designs, the uniforms, the phasers, the political state of the galaxy. They really should do a TV series set in this period.

Completely agree. Would love to see this era revisited some day, preferably on the small screen in a new series to allow for more fleshed out stories. There is a lot of potential in TMP-era Trek, where space felt big and scary, and Starfleet was depicted more as a true navy in a dangerous time than the typical explorers and diplomats.

Meh, Star Trek Online has much better dogfights as maneuvering isn't so linear and stringent. Angles of attack can make a huge difference.

Effin excellent. The use of the Picard S3 score was the cherry on the sundae. Instant goosebumps.

This is good 6/10, but you should look up the Axanar stuff to see a 10/10.

Fantastic work on the "down the neck" explosion.

Brings tears to my eyes. Wow we were lucky to have this. Love and miss all you my brothers. Better to have loved and loss then never to have loved at all.

But his legend has ALSO been entwined with incredible LUCK as well. And THAT right there is a just a bit of the old Kirk good fortune coming into play at JUST the right time!

The asteroid finishing off the k'tinga was pretty sweet, but the squadron line up at the end made it. Nice job.

Great job. Loved seeing starships moving more like million ton ships and less like fighters.

I agree, the washed out version from ST VI just lacked the flair of the original model in TMP and ST II.

Simply cannot get enough of this video !. Every aspect of the mechanics of this program is a stunning achievement. Well done !!!.

Just protect the vertical warp core in the saucer pylon. Never realized that was mostly what Khan was targeting initially. That and the power conduit running to the warp nacelles.

Brilliantly done! I wish Paramount would put out ST movies of this quality.

This was GREAT man. I can imagine the look of terror when a Constitution class star ship isnt holding back.

THANK YOU for having them move like big ships and not star-fighters. While anything is possible in space, I find this more visually dramatic and appealing. Of course if you do a vid on star fighters, then by all means have them moving fast and crazy!

It's about time the Enterprise gets back up from another constitution class starships! It took 57 years! Yeesh! I need the heart back. Thank you.

This was simply Spectacular!!!! Starship combat...no holds barred. James Kirk with no leash. This was amazing work. Absolutely loved the chain explosion through the klingon ship. This belongs on the big screen for all to experience

The birds of prey are cool designs, but even though I love em, even though they are highly armed for their size, I don't forget that they are not full size cruisers. D-7's (or K'Tingas) ARE. If a bop is desperate enough to have to attack a Constitution-class it would need to make more liberal use of it's cloaking device. However, D-7's(and later K'Tingas) are meant to go at a Constitution-Class head on. Yes, in ST3 a Bird of prey made the Enterprise look weaker than usual.. but the Enterprise was understaffed and if I recall in need of further repair. Under normal circumstances, a Bird of Prey wouldn't survive a toe to toe exchange like this 5:16

Which presumably means that all the Yorktown could do was warp in and *look* menacing given the state of her when she’s rechristened… ;-)

I have become addicted to fan made films, they are so entertaining and the folks work hard to give us what we want unlike the Studios.

This is Brilliant and Beautifully done!!! Bravo!

Very nicely done! Only thing I wish we could have seen was the use of the 4 phasers mounted on the very bottom and the 2 phasers mounted just above the shuttle bay on the secondary/engineering hull when you had the beautiful girl maneuvering.

Very well done.

GODDAMN that was so good it almost brought a tear to my eye. I know all those voice over scenes and I could picture them in my mind during the battle. Great job!

It really showed how dirty space combat could be and the laser effects as they scatter and melt the target's hull were very good! I notice that a lot of the Star Trek VFX Teams make the ships rapidly move or jerk on explosion or impact - but I can see you considered the sheer masses involved at 2:25 and 4:08 🧠

The bit with the asteroid would have been more believable if the Enterprise had used a tractor beam to make that happen.

I bounced up and down in my chair the entire time. Holy cow. This is absolutely amazing. I think it's cannon that, after the Khan incident, on the way home the Enterprise was attacked by a Klingon vessel... Folks can correct me but I think it's why the hull shows more damage during the beauty shots while entering space dock in 3. I loved this. My FAVORITE phasers.

Poor Enterprise was pretty battered, but still dangerous. Your phaser effects for Enterprise were damn good. The Wrath of Khan phaser effects really do look like they have some punch behind them, they're meaty, and your effects managed to capture that aspect pretty well.

As it's been said, Star Wars entertains .. Star Trek inspires. Live long and prosper.

Great battle sequence.....my only trib....quibble is the original refit 1701 was not painted with the blue bits the A was sort of that colour but I prefer the TMP aztec scheme. Excellent job no number1!!

THIS is how ships in the Star Trek universe should move. Not like freaking giant fighters. It conveys a sense of scale and these ships are huge. 😎☮

4 starfleet ship against 1 remaining Klingon ship is one sided and the Klingon will not survive. 😂

And so, the battle would be one for the history books. Stories would be told of how the Enterprise defended against a Klingon raid in contested space. No one surrendered, no one retreated. Both sides would fight until the end. That day, many Klingons died with honor. They were also reminded that the Enterprise is a prize that can never be obtained.

That was better than anything served up by CBS or Paramount in the past 13 years......

I am really am amazed at the talent individuals have - VFX is now available to everyone. Great Job!

And on that day Klingon warriors stepped into Stovokor proudly!

daannng, loving it. awesome work and almost flawless. gonna share this... extra props for doing this with a "game" engine. about the only nitpick i have is you can see the klingon ships just waiting around in the background while you're doing the beauty shots in the beginning... which makes it feel like they were just waiting there to get hit by that first torpedo, which kills the suspension a bit up front. if you ever feel to revisit this animation.. maybe just have them warp in with some effect right before they get hit with the torpedo or figure out some visual explanation why the klingon ships are just hanging there and not taking advantage of the enterprise being a sitting duck

Very good to excellent re-creation of TOS movies technology. It is highly unlikely that the Enterprise would survive a fight with three D-7 Klingon battle cruisers, but what the hey! It's good entertainment!

REALLY well done! Beautiful graphics, and very clever use of original audio clips from our beloved actors from TOS, largely from the movies that were made. This was a “love letter” to Star Trek in every sense of the words.

4 constitution-class ships sitting there as if they were telling the Klingon ship "You should do the wise thing and self-destruct"

Some issues. NCC-1701 has pulse phaser canons( pulse phaser fire ). They're an upgrade from the old blue Andorian-style phaser array( solid beam ). Also, Klingon disrupters fire heavy green pulses instead of phaser style beams. They're pulse style weapons as well. It's nitpicking. Sorry. Otherwise, it's a wonderfully made video. The slow ship turns really show how thruster control was essential to getting a firing solution on the target like old navy warfare. It definitely feels like the 23rd century. One of the K't'ingas got to play a game of "whack f***"! Beautifully done and excellent use of the Picard season 3 soundtrack.

It looks like a video game FMV sequence. Which is essentially what it is.

As much as I love Star Trek space battles it isn't what Star Trek is about. That being said you did a great job on this. I would like to see more. Maybe even some commentary from the Klingon captains.

Even with assistance from a rogue asteroid, it’s hard to believe even the Enterprise (severely damaged) could take out 2 1/2 D7s and still be operable. The Klingons must have just gone through their supplies of Bloodwine.

Not gonna lie, that was freaking awesome. I can admit, I'm a fan of how ships handled in the older movies like Wrath of Khan. Slow, cumbersome rather than the newer generation where they react like fighter jets in atmosphere.
