@@BayStateObserver The problem is having money and power over others. Money is the devil. If it weren't for money, humanity would be much further ahead. Cpt. Picard described it all very well in Star Trek - The First Contact. Anyone who knows Star Trek knows what I mean by that.

@@schnoggel - - You are close to the target but not quite. Money and power are only tools which can be used for either good or evil. They are not good or evil in and of themselves. Besides, many times people attempted to build societies that didn't use money. Those societies failed. Two good examples of this? Ancient Sparta and the early Soviet Union. Like it or no, we need money but must not be obsessed about it. Even Jesus said "Man does not live by bread alone." The Federation tries to build a godless "bread alone" society. It can only end in failure down the road. Thank you for your time and attention.

OMG, I am on my 60s, retired vet, aerospace physician and scientist. I want to see this future, before moving to another plane of existence. I have been dreaming about starships and space traveling since I was a little kid, which motivated me to go into science and engineering as well as medicine. Could you imagine, seating at a balcony or at your backyard, seeing such wonders flying by, preparing to embark into a new human adventure, space, yes, the final frontier. I cannot wait to see that, no different from a kid’s anticipation for a Christmas gift. Wonderful video and music, just rekindled child’s memories and dreams. Enough fighting for 5000 yrs, it is time to unite and move to the next civilization level of evolution. We definitely need to work together for this future to become a reality. Let’s make it happen people of Earth! 😊😂

I really liked ST and thought if I could make it to the 23rd century, things would be so much better. Not possible but I would be 50 as I entered into the 21st!! Well here we are, in the future! A time when men think they’re women, women can’t tell you what a woman is, people insist on infanticide as a right, crime is excused in many of our cities and the dumbest people on earth have been elected to power by a questionable election. I was born in 1950 during the atomic age, grew up in the space age, matured in the computer age and am growing old in the stupid age. At this rate I doubt we’ll make to the 22nd century much less the 23rd!

I'm 75 years old now, I was in the Pacific when Apollo 11 splashed down. I had hoped by now we would be a colony people on Mars and other planets and moons. We need more people with a vision like Elon Musk, that will take the risks, to do what my generation started but failed to follow through.

Just imagine if this were to happen one day where all of humanity puts aside there petty differences and come together in unity and build fantastic starships, and reach out for the stars. Unfortunately we are faraway from that reality, we are definitely not a unified species especially what’s happening at the present moment.

When I was 5 my older brothers took me out late at night to watch Saturn's rings occult a stat. Seeing Saturn through a telescope with it's rings was utterly magical and the most beautiful thing. I still dream of being able to see them in person some day. And honestly, we are so right on the edge. The Moon landing was Earth shattering. We left our planet and stepped out from the shore onto a rock in the water. And now we are making strides to going back to stay as well as travel to a planetary neighbor.

The only thing I don't like about this is that it's 4 minutes long. Aloha from Hawaii!! Great work!!!

I truly believe this represents our future in space travel. We have the tech to build ‘em just not the tech to build the engines needed to travel at those speeds…….yet. Love it. I may not c it but my granddaughter will. I’m jealous.

This video makes it seem more plausible with today's technology! It's not as clean and refined as what is depicted in Star Trek, but it gives me hope that if someone were to figure out a reliable method of rapid interstellar space travel today, then those ships could be built within a decade.
