Yes, you are right. I own a Rottweiler-Boy and sonetimes people cross the street when we're coming - they thought "omg - a killer Rottweiler" - or so... Very sad, because we are good mates!

These adorable creatures are the reason why I'll eventually be settling in a home with a huge backyard instead of a city apartment. It's something visceral I have never loved anything on first sight like these gorgeous black and tan shepards

En vérité le"Doberman"a été créé grâce à un apport de"Beauceron"et non pas l'inverse! Encore une fois les anglo-saxons croient tout savoir alors qu'ils ne savent rien. Le"Beauceron est BEAUCOUP PLUS ANCIEN que le"Doberman"dont les critères pour former et fixer la race sont arrivés bien plus tard.Il faut apprendre avant de prétendre!

C'est un chien merveilleux, pour le ou la personne qui le mérite !!!!!!!! La force ne sert à rien, ce chien a un besoin réel de respecter !!!!!!! Et le respect n'est forcément facile ...

Par contre, vis-à-vis des petits, il est très patient !!!!!! Avant Igor, je ne connaissais pas, après c'est un chien pour qui j'ai eu un énorme respect, c'est un chien noble pour qui sait lui inspirer du respect.....RESPECT est le mot, sans lui il n'y a rien de bon, dans un sens comme dans l'autre !!!!!!!!!!

Ayant un nombre de chiens, le beauceron est le seul qui m'a donné cette impression. En amplifiant les choses, tu n'auras mon respect que si tu le mérites. Alors, je peux me tromper bien sûr, mais j'ai eu clairement la sensation, qu'il nous étudiait plus que les autres !!!!!!!

Although similar to the GSD, I feel they are harder to handle due to being a more independent thinker and more energetic and tend to be drivier (obviously certain GSD working lines are just as drivey). This independent thinking makes them much smarter in my books, problem solving is on another level. My pup learnt how to open the stair gate before 5 months old, but once she was big enough to just ran through it she preferred that option 😂 I have owned both and the Beauceron is by far my favourite out the 2

They are very beautyful. Look like a Rottweiler-Black German Shepard-Mix

GSD is much younger and almost never used as " shepherd" dog breed. Love the both breeds but the Frenchies are the all around farm doggies which excell at herding and protection with this seriously more independent drive and incredible stamina which make them almost unsuitable for city environment( which I count as a blessing). Anybody liking the Frenchies but a city boy like me should go for the beautiful created by Herr Doberman " city version" of the breed.

How can I purchase one

À la base, le beauceron devait protéger les troupeaux des prédateurs contre les prédateurs (ours, loups), c'est pour ça qu'ils ont cherché des chiens potentiellement plus agressifs !!!!!!!!! Comme le montagne des Pyrénées, élevés depuis leurs naissances dans une bergerie, pour qu'ils ne confondent avec le troupeau......... La différence est très complexe !!!!!!!!!

Au fait, si j'ai bien compris, le beauceron, à la base était un chien de berger, qui protégeait le troupeau, comme un Patou. Pas comme un Bordier. Il protégeait les troupeaux des prédateurs (loups et ours) .

c'est bien ca! Par contre contrairement au Patou il sait naturellement tres bien regrouper un troupeau! Il est polyvalent et pourrait faire les deux.

C'est sûr, j'ai vu un reportage comme quoi les chiots naissaient et restaient à la bergerie, pour s'imprégner de l'odeur des moutons et passer inaperçu vis à vis des prédateurs. J'imagine que c'est ancestrale, j'ai trouvé cette méthode extrêmement intelligente et efficace. Tant au niveau psychique que physique, c'est hyper bien pensé, félicitations !!!!!!!!!!

Of course in France, the country of origin. This is very known & quite popular breed in France. And all the time breed there according to very high standards incl. passing specific psychological / behaviour testing
