It is not a true story. It was made up to raise the fighting spirit of the Red Army. . Even the film producers admitted it.

@@piotr9246 You know, new archival documents confirm the authenticity of these events. With some differences. But this is already on the conscience of the filmmakers. The film shows a collective image of all the defenders of Moscow. Because so or almost so they fought. Glory and eternal memory to all of them.

I hadn't started watching it, but the name Panfilov was already sloshing around in my head. Are people allowed to change a film title and post it as their material?

I prefer movies in original language, with subtexts in English. Generally, too much gets lost in translation.....

the subtitled version is also on youtube. in general i find a british accent works in a lot of unexpected places, but for me it wasn't working in this movie. For a movie of this stature, I guess I'm surprised the distributor wouldn't have gone with more of a Slavic sound in the voice actors.

Everyone of these dead soldiers is a son,a brother,a husband or a father… god bless them… R.I.P. ❤

Absolutely one the best WWII movies i have so far ever watched. The bravery here is unmatched. The story line is indeed real. Don't forget the heroism talks too. Excellent 👍

Then you haven't seen much. This is below average at best.

I have watched thrice now. In the first two, the subtitles somehow distracted me. And sometimes the subtitles do not make sense. But this one is not only clear copy. The voice dubbing is also excellent. Salute to Panfilov's 28 and to the guys who worked hard to put English voice dub on the dialogues of the movie.

An excellent movie! And equal credit goes to the translators and dubbing artists. Most times dialogues get literally translated and that ruins the essence of the story. These guys did a phenomenal job of preserving the spirit of the story.

I prefer these Soviet WW2 movies with Russian language and English subtitles, that way they are more realistic. I love them, they beat all those exaggerated movies made by Hollywood

@krzyś kluczyk the KGB at the time didn't existed. And in case you mention the so called NKVD barrier troops that shoot who fell back, then you should inform yourself instead insisting in these propaganda garbage that you learned probably watching western movies like "Enemy at the gates".

The actors and emotional reality.,,they present is truly of Arts...People play... they're heroic parts.. and put theater...upon camera.. catching sounds and color...atonishing job..... Bold new future for Film and school... Soviet is academy of school of performance... high level..

Excellent movie and a great presentation of such a heroic moment in Russian history.

This is the greatest excellent war movie. excellent direction,excellent actors,excellent discussions by officials.Hats off to red army.

The Soviet soldier, and as some forget the Soviet civilians as at the inhuman seige of Stalingrad, are the most beautiful sincere examples of love of country and of patriotism. One of the good movies that contained equal version& balance of fighting.. Much better than Hollywood movies that are made about the unjustified invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan with no content & story with no equal fighting, weapons, & real opponents. Hollywood movies that were made in 1960s, 70s to 80s & 90s were not bad. Movies that were produced based on world World War two were more interesting & educational verses movies that are recently made about the war in Afghanistan with no story & no object. For example, in movies that were .made about the invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan, all we saw foreign aggressors randomly killing innocent people with high technology while the oppositions were locking basic weapons and training; but still defeatedp the nap

It's shown how d Red Army defence with their homelands in order not 2, be occupied by d Nazi regime, it's shows d bravery courageous action of d Red Armies despite their out numbered, D people s of Moscow lead by Joseph Stalin is proud of them., They're honorable and Respected people's. Thank u 4 featuring this film's, it's another knowledge 2 those who don't know 2 defend Thier homeland. God blessed.

These are great war films. I like the way they take time to develop the battle scenes. This one has been debunked as a legend but nevertheless a really good, realistic action film!

Можно много обсуждать детали той битвы, но тот факт, что горстка солдат красной армии остановила армаду нацистов под Москвой будет оспаривать только тот, кто намеренно хочет исказить историю. И эта лишь одна битва из многих. Так же хочу напомнить, что все вместе взятые сражения наших западных союзников в той войне меньше по количеству задействованных людей и техники, чем одна только битва под Сталинградом. А таких огромных наступательных масштабов как операция "Багратион" вообще нет где-либо в истории. Сегодня многие причисляют себя к победителям той войны, но я напомню, что 22 июня 1941 года на СССР напала не только Германия под командованием Гитлера. На СССР напала объединенная Европа под командованием Гитлера. Что-то схожее уже было и двести лет назад, и что-то похожее мы наблюдаем сегодня. История идёт по спирали. Фунакоси Гитин - основатель стиля Шотокан Каратэ-до о Русских: «счастье врагов России, что русские нация воинов, а не убийц, иначе бы они уничтожили народы, шедшие на Россию войной».

Напоминаю, что 22 июня 1941 года на СССР напала не только Германия, на СССР напала объединенная Европа под командованием Гитлера. И вот всю эту армаду перемололи войска красной армии. А наши "союзники" высадились только в конце лета 1944 года, когда красная армия гнала нацистов на запад по несколько десятков километров в день. "союзники" не помогать высадились, они высадились для того, чтобы забрать разработки, ученных, а так же получить награбленное немцами за годы войны, а так же они высадились, чтобы СССР не досталась вся Европа. И заметь, никакого бы НАТО сегодня не существовало бы. Я из России. Откуда ты?

I realize that history has been revised and isn't taught in the Socialist training institutions. The filthy Ukrainian Fascists were a blight on the NSP during WW2, and I'm actually in full support of Russia for taking on the Globalist Anti Christ armies. My prayers are with them everyday. My view of history is influenced from personally knowing Germans who fought in WW2, General Patton spoke about how America fought the wrong people and was quicly murdered for it. America murdered hundreds of thousands of Germans who had surrendered to them. Do a bit of research and learn some Truths. FDR and his entire administration were Marxists.
