Germans weren't retreating in the summer, but I can let that go. Sergeant Guize was great. He was real. I would have followed him in battle with no problem. He was a soldiers' soldier. I know this is not a military training film but I'm sure German soldiers in WWII were trained to practice noise, light and littler discipline while on patrol. Big things would be don't make fires and smoke cigarettes at night. No unnecessary talking. Stuff we learned in basic training in the US Army. But still a good low budget film. I've seen worse made with a lot bigger budget.

Yeah I’ve noticed in a lot of WW2 movies especially like Fury they portray the Germans as idiots especially the end battle scene against an SS battalion or whatever and the Germans are just running in the open blindly shooting.

WWII was brutal in too many aspects ! Were they possessed by some evil spirit . But the sad reality is that these events once took place in innumerable numbers .Perhaps the reality was too horrible too discuss in words . But one fact that remains ,just like one side was resorted to killing unnecessary on mere suspicions , another one too responded to that with equal brutality 😣 .They were shooting as if they were hitting harmless baloons ! And specially the mistreatments were given to women was abominable . What the Nazis did to soviets women was cruel , that must have enraged the soviets , which is why so many German women were subjected to same kind of brutal and barbaric treatment when tide of the war changed .

Those two Russian girls were not carrying a stretcher with a man on it. They could not have strolled along like that and casually chatted. A body on stretcher is dead weight. The stretcher weighs 20 - 30 lbs and even if the man only weighed 150 lbs, that's 180 lbs so 45lbs in each hand.

If you are going to make a movie do it properly, it can be done. Make it based on factual events that would have occurred. Not this fake woke movie with female Soviet soldiers who look like they just came off the catwalk. They wouldn't have been kept around for eye candy for the Wehrmacht.

Everyone made a good effort but I didn't/couldn't connect. The way they were holding their weapons, the way they moved.... not very convincing. Some coaching would have helped immensely. One gets used to carrying weapons. These guys are stiff. Still, the few props available were well used except for that kübelwagon in the beginning....guess production was worried about damaging a valuable antique....😅
