It's crazy when you consider that--being imperfect and born into an imperfect world, the watchtower org demands perfection. Perfection does not exist in an imperfect world and doesn't make room for human nature. Suppressing what's natural, emotions and natural desires one was born with, is cruel and can lead to twisted and sexual deviancy. When guilt is piled onto this 'natural' expression, it can even cause marital problems later in life (sexual problems in the bedroom) as that guilt and the lingering effects of unfulfilled desires and lengthy suppression can take a toll on the Psyche, and future relationships. I guarantee that none of the governing body experiences these things, whether married or unmarried. They just have a twisted view of sexual expression and 'release', and, again, this goes back to their god who, in ancient Sumer, was a sexual deviant. Imagine if these witnesses, like the guy in the video, knew the truth about Jehovah and his sexual prowess. Imagine him carrying such heavy guilt (over his 'crime') to the extent that he turned to suicide, believing he committed this gross sin against a god who, himself went into exile for raping a young medical student; the same deity who 'enjoyed' sexual relations with his own sister! Yet these are truths you won't hear from the watchtower society or any organized religion. This is also why the "tree of knowledge" is still forbidden within the organization so as not to reveal these truths. This is also why the watchtower study conducted on Sunday can only be answered from INSIDE the watchtower, just in case someone may have knowledge of these things and may 'accidently' comment on it during the meeting. The elders would have a cow! And would have to report it to the GB. The person answering from his or her own learned knowledge could possibly even face disfellowshipping, for 'misleading the congregation with FALSE teaching'. Thus, by answering ONLY from watchtower, there's no fear of revealing (accidently or purposely) what the GB don't want revealed. Finally, this is also why we don't see reference in the watchtower's literature to those lost books of the Bible, in particular the Gospel of Thomas or the Book of Judas. Those witnesses (or even ex witnesses) who would dispute these facts (due to years and decades of watchtower's intense indoctrination), should do their own research, and find out for themselves.

Many young JWs were DF left and right due to sexual issues, trying to suppress natural human urges especially being a young person is crazy! Good topic guys!

Hate how they try use the prodigal son for coming back after fornicating. The prodigal son was in want and since there was a famine in the land he was even willing to eat the pods that the swines ate. And before the father took him back, he was working feeding the swines as well. Swines are mentioned as an abomination to God and anyone eating or even touching them were unclean. Yet, the father still took him back with no questions asked knowing he had knowingly broken one of God's laws. So if that was the worst of the worst and the son was still accepted, why are jws disfellowshipped for fornicating or drinking or smoking??? These are way lesser sins than what the prodigal son was involved with yet he was forgiven. Such a disgusting cult!! You guys do a great job with these videos by the way. Even though serious, you still can keep it light knowing that some viewers are bawling due to what they've been through in this cult while watching this. Thanks once again and keep up the great job!!

  • @abb0515

When my husband and I were disfellowshipped for doing the business the elders kept picking on me. My husband’s father was an elder and my dad was a JW that didn’t want special privileges so when we were in the room with them they kept asking me very uncomfortable questions and telling me that I didn’t love Jehovah or my husband because I should have told my husband no. They made it seem like I was a floosie but this was my first time offense with the one man I loved and married. I’ll never forget how violated I felt by them. My husband and I were so shocked when they disfellowshipped us because we thought we did the right thing by going forward. Yet we still went to every meeting and got reinstated. Finally by the time we hit our 30’s we left the JW and so did my side of the family. We’ve never been happier.

You are both right. Speaking from personal experience, I was in a 8 year marriage that ended. I decided to leave after enduring years of toxicity and unhappiness. I was an elder. I wanted to leave but couldn’t because of what I feared to lose. After some time I built the courage to leave. I planned my exit which caused the calapse of my marriage. My reputation was tainted but I regained peace of mind in the end. I’m aware it’s a decision I have to live with for the rest of my life and I acted out of character to leave that marriage but I did what I had to to escape unhappiness. Ppl will never understand. There is no way to get a divorce or legal separation from a marriage once a Jehovah witness unless someone dies or cheats. It’s very toxic. It’s easy for ppl to judge but it takes someone with true empathy to understand. Being in 8 years made me realize how much of a lie and pretense my marriage was built on. We were not compatible, i walked on egg shells all day and I was isolated from my non witness family.

I really enjoy your channel! You two are awesome! My parents are Jehovah's Witnesses, so I grew up in this cult back in the 80's and early 90's. I thank God that I never succumbed to the pressure to get baptized. At one of the meetings an elder was giving a talk about a sister in another congregation who as he put it "inadvertently bought a lottery ticket without thinking about it". Well, that ticket that she bought just so happened to be a $1,000,000 winner. The sister supposedly felt guilty about buying the ticket because she committed a gambling sin. So the sister confessed to the elders and asked them what she should do about the winning ticket. The elders didn't have a clear answer themselves so they called JW headquarters at Brooklyn at that time. JW headquarters told the elders that the sister needed to give the ticket back or leave the truth. When I heard that, I was a teenager at the time sitting in the Kingdom Hall thinking to myself how this $1,000,000 could have more likely changed this sister's life; and she would have more likely donated money to the congregation and organization as well. This is just one of the many reasons why I did not succumb to pressure to get baptized.

I remember a lady relating her story of her marriage in the 1950s She had two young children although she hated having relations with her husband It got to the point where she couldn't take any more and she attempted to take her life. She was found and saved, received councelling and came to the realisation she was lesbian. She became a public speaker in Hyde Park London. Just imagine what the Elder's advice would be?...Go back and subject yourself to your husband, else you'll be delt with in Armageddon shortly 🤪

OMG! You guys brought back a lot of memories with this video. Where do I start?… My ex JW husband brought me into this cult…he would tell me stories about these “friends” who loved and cared for him, they would invite him to gathering etc…but after I was baptized and started going to his KH, honey those “ friends”were not feeling me. I finally told him they’re your friends not my friends… When we decided to get married a year later the witches came out… a few of them went to the Elders and told them my ex was interested in them and led them on…. My ex had to go to the “ blue room” that’s what I called the room in the back, lol….and had to tell the Elders whatever lies he told them… we went on with our wedding plans and a week b4 our day, everyone cancelled their assignments. From the ushers to the best man….I should’ve known then it was a bad idea to marry this dude…SMDH… The women in the hall take any small gesture from a man and think this is their husband to be… My JW coworker would go to a grocery store a few mornings before work and the manager would greet her and hold a conversation, baby she would come to the office and tell me about their chat. Then I believe he asked her out to dinner. She came to work and told me she better go ahead and tell him about her religion and give him a magazine before it goes any further lol!!! I was thinking wow, that’s how you got to do it in this religion….i didn’t think it was that serious….then she started telling me she didn’t see him there anymore and that was the end of that… lol… i always felt that the women seem so damn desperate at hall..some of them would grab-their husbands arm when this "worldly/I" would walk by… SMDH LOL!!!

They have no regard for other peoples time or money. Smh

When I was a Jehovah’s Witness I was always set aside so I had a lot of non-jws friends. I felt more awkward either the JWs. I guess I had a double life by default. That was a blessing since I had a lot of social skills that I would not have if I was accepted in th Kw clicks.

Even a Christian cannot brush aside the worship of Jehovah as God. In Revelation 1:5 the Son of God called himself "Jesus Christ, 'The Faithful Witness.'" When on earth as a man he was a Jew, an Israelite, to whose nation the words of Isaiah 43:10 were written: "You are my witnesses, 'is the utterance of Jehovah, 'even my servant whom I have chosen. Jesus demonstrated that he was a faithful and true witness of Jehovah God. His genuine disciples today must be the same kind of witnesses, Jehovah's.

Oh Lexii! Jeven knows what you’re going to say just by your giggle and expression 😂Too cute❣️ This was spot on, getting married and then end up so unhappy because they are not compatible or they realize they are gay. Even after they’ve had children and tried so hard to make it work. That’s tragic! Not because they are gay or have children but because they didn’t have the opportunity to know who they honestly were before jumping into a marriage! They were sexually stunted by the cult! And that includes not loving your own self enough to make wise choices then settle with a bad choice because you don’t know how to pick your person, and figure, now you ‘have’ to get married! 🫣 Such a clusterF!!

This is so aggravating to me; you keep missing the main point. This is across the board in religion; ALL Christian denominations say that fornication is a sin that leads to hell. I have never been a JW, yet I have no social skills to talk to women; I am lonely AF partly because of the teachings of Christianity!

  • @AwakenTruths

@@AwakenTruths Most of the things that ex-JWs complain about that make this religion a cult are across the board in Christianity. I think many ex-JW channels try to confine their criticism to the JW religion because they have several Christian subscribers, and they don't want to lose them. Additionally, while shunning outwardly might not be practiced in every Christian denomination, mainstream Christianity believes that people will burn in hell forever for fornicating. JWs believe that they will just die at Armageddon, and that will be it; most Christians believe that people like us will burn forever. For this reason, I think Christianity is a cult and even worse, in a lot of ways, than JWs.
