Getting rid of the ACA protections would keel a lot of people, for money.

Especially pregnant people, new mothers, and newborns. Pregnancy was a preexisting condition.

Affordable care was the only care our family had for 5 years. My husband worked for small companies that didn’t pay for health care . Then I retired and our whole family had to go on affordable care here in California.

If you wanna keep your ACA vote for Biden in November. Republicans WILL try again to get rid of ACA if they get the chance again.

Healthcare, from GP to the big Pharma-boys, should be nationalized.

Absolutely correct about pre ACA. Women had to pay for birth control and routine female care but viagra was a deduction. Because women had babies, we had to pay more for insurance compared to men. Did I mention the viagra coverage?

It's good to hear that Obama care actually made some difference to average Americans. I guess that it's not perfect but over time, people will see the impact on families and friends, when this happens - the Republicans will never be able to gut the plan , because it would be political suicide.

Pregnancy was a pre-existing condition and insurance companies could deny pregnant patients just because they were pregnant

You are underestimating how ableist this country is. I have has asthma since birth & I routinely get asked if I’ve tried natural methods & how awful the side effects of medication is on the body. Darling, my body has been trying to suffocate itself so long I’ve racked up over 50,000 asthma attacks. The chronic side effects of Asthma is the same side effects you want me avoid!

@@sherlogic1256 What is an ableist attitude? Ableism-prejudice and discrimination aimed at disabled people, often with a patronizing desire to “cure” their disability and make them “normal”-is one explanation. Ableism, either subtly or directly, portrays individuals who are being defined by their disabilities as inherently inferior to nondisabled people.Dec 14, 2021

I don’t think a tiny island is going to help 50 countries that can’t agree to keep healthy water running to our homes.
