The Real World Myths Behind The Crow, Halloween III & Lady in White - Three Cult Halloween Films!
Фильм және анимация
Well, it’s that time of year again, Halloween, or as the Gaels called it, Samhain. One of my favourite ways to celebrate the season is to watch scary movies or movies related to Halloween. So, in this video, I will examine and breakdown the real-world myths, legends and ghost stories behind 3 of my favourite Halloween films: The Crow (1994), Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982) and Lady in White (1988).
Let me know of any other myths or legends behind your favourite halloween films, and what you think of the films mentioned in this video.

I love all three films. The Crow is a great revenge flick. Halloween III is in my opinion the best of the franchise, and an underrated gem. Lady in White is an amazing gem with its murder mystery and classic ghost story elements, and feels like a lost work of Ray Bradbury.
I haven't heard "The Lady in White" for a very long time, thanks for reminding.
Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow may have been influenced and inspired by the Irish legend of the Dullahan.

I think the Sleepy Hollow tale in general is recognized as being inspired by the Dullahan. If not, it's one hell of a coincidence.

@@KuLaydMahn I went to reply here and noticed you're also a Coffey, I wonder if we're related! Haha. Anyway, yes, Irving was definitely putting a New England spin on the Dullahan myth, and I love it.

TinTin was definitely the most interesting of T-Bird's gang, on screen at least. It always felt a little wasteful to me that he died first. But I've never read the comic, maybe that was the way it was written? If so, I always have to give credit when a film stays faithful to its source material
funfact about brandon lee: he actually has swedish roots from his mom, his other ancestry includes: English, Irish, Dutch (moms side), on his dad's side (bruce lee) he's chinese and german (bruce lee's mom was german & chinese mixed)
I'm thinking that Revolutionary commander Karasu is a reference to the mythical Japanese bird
Thank you for sharing. Insightful.
Love this
Great video!
Amazing video with interesting content 👌 nice bro!!!... By the way, I love all 3 films!
Human sacrifice is found all over the ancient world, the modern mind twists it, in many cases it was done voluntarily, & considered an honour 2 appease nature &/or deities, 4 a good crop/not so hard winter/2 keep the volcano quiet/etc. Imo it nvr really went away, we just find new ways 2 sacrifice our best & brightest now... The public reaction 2 certain famous ppls deaths is 1 example. Build em up tear em dwn. Jesus too.
Hayward, Ca has a lady in white ghost story...
the lady in white seems like a nice movie.
