In general women do prefer taller men, you wouldn't need to make this video if it wasn't an issue.

My wife is a tall chinese girl, around 5'8", I'm a 5'6" white guy, lol. She has dated guys probably a foot taller than I, and says most of them were nothing compared to me. Even those who say they don't care actually do (women don't know what they want... Duh) so the actual number is far smaller... On online dating, the number can be as low as 1 - 2% who don't care across their entire height range!

Bullshit! Women are attracted to height because it's interpreted as dominance. Display dominance and more leadership than all the other guys and see who gets the attention. If height is so important, why did Prince get so much pussy (before he made it big)? If you don't believe me, look at the attention a guy gets when he's promoted to an executive position, compared to the attention he had before. The very same guy, same height. Why do you think the famous athlete, musician, drug lord, etc, gets so much pussy? He's hot, he's in charge, he's the leader...

What she said is HUGE bull. Honestly, I’d say 90%+ of women won’t date a man under 5’7” in the West nowadays. Especially because 6’+ is becoming increasingly more common for new generations of Western men. This means Western men who are still under 5’7” will become more and more short in comparison to the general population overtime. This also increases the amount of women who won’t date them.

I prefer an average height man- not too tall and not shorter than 5’8-5’9. But personality & compatibility absolutely are more important than height alone.

I'm a tall guy in shape..... I've seen girls ignore guys with everything going for them but they are short or average build.

You have your facts inverted. 80-90% of women have a hard set requirement of minimum heightin males. It doesn't matter if the girl is shorter or not, even the shortest women have this 6ft height requirement, in America atleast. That is not insecurity, that's verifiable fact.

I have cerebral palsy and use a wheelchair I know what it's like to be treated differently in the mainstream I've worked with women and they refused to get to know me personally. That's just the way life is I understand

What's further disturbing about this ridiculous reasoning is that women will STILL reject a guy who is even one inch shorter or even same-height as them. It's either 4-6 inches taller or no dice. No compromise and forget about even remotely attempting to get to know his personality.

I appreciate your perspective on this issue. As a male who stands at 5'5, I have seen enough to suggest that both shorter and taller women use very similar standards to evaluate shorter men. Women like men in general, want to be under the impression that they are holding themselves up to the standards that they believe they deserve. They do not want to date someone who they believe their friends might perceive as inferior lest they be seen as falling from grace. It should almost go without say that everyone should see themselves as important (as they are). Genetics and biology are a very strange setup.

I usually joke about my own height. Before I got married and settled with a beautiful girl, I always used to say that I don't wanna get any taller due to a serious fear of heights. Humor actually worked a lot of times.

If we women want to reject us because of something we have no control over (our height) that's fine. As long as we can reject them over something they have no control over (their age). When they get old and desperate, we'll just casually say "I can never go out with a woman older than me." or "Oh if only you were younger, I'd go out with you!" Fair?

I'm 19, 5'10 and I had my moments. In my teenage years I was very obvious of who I'd go for. "HE HAS TO BE" that's all I've been saying..Even when they had every aspect and their personality was great I was like HELL NO. But now looking back I know I've missed all lot of opportunities. I'm 5 feet 8 inches and I was once told in no uncertain terms by a woman who was shorter than me that I wasn't tall enough because of her high heels! I'm 5'8 and once, when I was still bouncing, I bounced a girl that was bout 5'11. Only thing she had to say was that she was taller then me and that I will always be under her. What it boils down to is that people are a hell lot shallow, and genuine people are a dime a dozen (as the saying says, but in truth more rare then that). Their always going to complain, I have girls at 5'3 and under saying I'm not tall enough. It's not my fault that they're so insecure, hence why they date d-bags which then treat them like crap, which they deserve. KARMA. They not even embarrassed to say that. One thing they making clear is that a pair of shoes will always be more valuable to them than you. They put on their fake height extensions and then demand a genuinely, taller man. Imagine men putting on a muscle suit and then only considering super models. Unfortunately many women believe that their preference for tall men is unique to themselves and that there are plenty of women who "prefer" shorter men, but the numbers and anecdotes don't tell that story. Where men have many different preferences, mostly all women agree on height as being a top priority. With 85% of men UNDER 6ft Tall and 50% UNDER 5'10, that leaves a LOT of men on the benches.

I am 5 foot three, and I have dated a playboy model who had her reality TV show and another Maxim Magazine girl. These two women are more confident the most and girls back home in Las Vegas, so they don’t need a tall man for their insecurities.

this all just patronizing bullshit she is saying. "i love it when short guys approach me, blah, blah, blah" we know she doesn't date shorter men. and confidence/attitude with short men is not the problem here, lady. it is the female perceptions, and superficial mentality ingrained the simple minds of most women. there are plenty of short guys with game, fun personalities, who are smart, and good looking. but most women wont date them because of there height.

Yes I totally agree with your analysis. I am 5,5 and I never had any insecurity. My last two gf were 5,5 and 5, 7. I use my wisdom, my personality, positive energy and confidence to attract woman. Your communication skills, life goals and charisma is absolutely essential. Remember there are most things in life that you can improve so why worry go and master the missing pieces of greatness in your personality, career, health and rather worry about something that is genetic. My boyfriend is two or three inches shorter than me and I dont really see it as a problem. I still cuddle and lay my head on his chest, my legs just go alittle further than his. I absolutely love him. I don't find it unmanly or anything....so it doesn't really matter to me.

**BINGO!!** Lots and LOTS of Moms think that they are a "failure" if they don't have BIG TALL SONS! It's a source of shame, and speculation about the "real father"...

I think what discourages most short guys is that women say personality is key but still wouldn't date a shorter man.

i'm 19 and i'm 5,6 and i have certainly seen my fair share of discrimination when it comes to short guys. Not only do they have it harder when it comes to getting women but women also don't respect them and in some cases they actually hate them. Last year i was in this night club and i went to the bar to get a drink and there were only two bartenders a guy and a girl. One was on the left side of the bar and the other was on the right. I went to the side where the girl was because it was closer to where i was coming from. And she kept completely ignoring me and serving all of the tall/medium height guys, even the ones that were coming after i had been there and she knew that i was there longer but she didn't care. I kept trying to get her attention and i kept being ignored. I was there for a very long time whilst she was serving guys that had just shown up. Finally she comes to me and says what would you like, it was obvious that she just wanted to get rid of me. I then said to her why were you ignoring me but serving all of the tall guys even though they showed up after me, i was here a long time and she said "well i'm serving you now". When she was serving all the tall guys she was smiling, laughing and joking with them but from the moment she came to me she was rude, never smiled once and generally wasn't nice. It's like women hate short men. So a while ago i decided to hate the whole gender back, i don't waste my time with them, i'm not nice to them and i would never do anything nice for any woman even save one if she was being attacked. I would just walk away.

I did want to go just for an experiement to see if I would actually get rejected in person by them specifically for my height which i did where I just laughed it off and left with good humor... just to see if it was actually true and it was. Then thinking about it I kind of wish I was allowed to donate being that would be my best chance i could have a child of my own where I wouldn't feel so alone in this world knowing there is someone out there interested in me and wanting to meet me in the near future with hopes of sparking a father and son/daughter relationship, that would feel my heart with a lot of hope of never being alone again because if that were to happen being that it seems being 5'5 is too short for any womans stand in physical appearnace they want in a man then atleast I would love to commit everything I have in to being a father to my own child. You can be upset that those women are so shallow that they really care more about what society and their friends think of the guy they are dating than they do, but hey it only helps you weed out the narcissistic shallow women and helps you get a quality woman. I actually feel sorry for the tall men who end up with those women. My height never held me back when it comes to dating, it sucks online because that's were the narcissistic women congregate. My advice to short men is to go outside and actually meet women, there are tons of cool women out there with awesome personalities and ones that are pretty cute too, and most of those women won't care if you have other things to bring to the table. And if you really do care so much, there are some dress shoes that can add a couple inches.

I'm 5'6" and in my last year of high school two girls in my class were talking about a guy one of them met that week, they used me for a comparison. "Let me look at you. Yeah he's cute like you. Smile. Yeah he has nice teeth like you but damn it if only you were taller." *If only you were taller.* That being said my first girlfriend was 5'9" and the height thing only bothered other people. I appreciate this woman is trying to give hope and encouragement to short men. But unfortunately she is telling LIES by saying that " 80% or 90% of women don't mind short guys ". The truth is that 90% (or even 95%) of women don't like short guys at all and only about 10% of women (if even that much) "don't mind short guys" and out of that 10% they all still PREFER tall men over short men but they would at least CONSIDER short guys IF he has other qualities to make up for his lack of height such as being very good looking or being very rich etc But 90% of women wont even consider a short man regardless of how good looking or rich he is.

5´5 here, you just need to be in shape , better if you can get the V shape, biceps help alot too, men over 6 foot can be somewhat fat, but not us. Do it, and don´t consider yourself a "half guy" be an alpha not a wuss.

Shorter guys can get girls. I have seen it. Everyone has. The BIG problem is online dating. Just as guys have a very superficial strict criteria, so do girls...and height is a big one! This means shorter guys who want to meet good looking random girls outside of their normal circles have to go out and "game", and face the anxiety and rejection, while taller guys will get it easier online. There is just no avoiding it!

Haley's opinions are correct for a non American. From what I'm researching yes they prefer a man taller than them but half are ok with their height or slightly shorter!!! In american it's ingrained that a man needs to be 6' tall, so every man lies to say they are as close to that number as possible.

I myself have dated shorter men several times. My current partner and father of my 2 kids is shorter than me. I do know a lot of my friends say they wouldn't date shorter men so I understand the frustration. I can only speak for myself when I say I just focused on finding a good person. UnknownXV I don't think that's much of a problem. Girls like guys who are taller than them (most of them including me) because it's easier to cuddle n stuff c:. I just don't like dating guys smaller than me, it feels weird. But yeah, I'm pretty small but so are my classmates 7 - 7. There's only a small ammount of dudes in my year that are taller than me, but that's because I'm young and eventually they will grow taller. Personally, I like being small as a girl. But I don't know if any guys like being small or not. But I think it's best to just be you for you, and someone will come along eventually. :)

I know this is purely anecdotal, but I've never experienced a rejection based on my height (I am 1.68 m or 5'6"). I once date a lady who was 6'1" (1.85 m), and admittedly there were stares and occasional mocking comments, but what could we do? Our biology made it that I was short and she was tall. It was not our fault! My hypothesis is that short men and tall women who genuinely don't care about differences in height might unconsciously gravitate towards people with equally height-neutral attitudes, if there is such a thing. It is just a hypothesis. Anyway, I've been rejected for other reasons, but not for my height. That's my experience. (And please, I'm not claiming men have not been rejected for their height. I don't want to minimize the experience of other men).

How do you know the other reasons were not your hight. Women will often lie about that but the relity is short guys are rejected way more than tall ones so when it averages all other factors ot is clear that hight is the only diference. In other words a women would 100% of the time choose a tall you over a short you unfortunately.

Personally I find the way out of the height discrimination is to be as unique as possible and to have a big personality. NEVER BE SHY AND SHORT, then you look like a kid. Girls can stand shy when men are tall because of the whole gentle giant thing, but short dudes no go. Take it from me, im 5'5 yet ive dated a girl who was 5'10 because I had a big personality and was unique in many aspects. Basically, be the Dos Equis beer guy, the most interesting man in the world. It also helps if youre a natural leader type, that way girls will overlook your height and just see a leader who can protect them.

Yeah, but women consider height to be the only thing that determines masculinity. Women actually think short men are less masculine, which is another way of saying weak. That's how fucked up they are.

The truth is that women generally don't want to date and or marry a short guy. They want a a guy who isn't just taller than them, they want a tall guy. I have seen most of the women short guys have dated/married - it looks like the short guys scrapped the bottom of the barrel, low quality women in so many different ways. I'm 5'7" and it's really bad. 5'7" is an incomplete height - you're still short, you're not a decent height, close but not quite there, and you're still far from being tall. The hard truth: short stature for guys is a disgusting, physical flaw, a defect in genetics, a handicap/disability.

Can money or success negate this? I really hope it does.
