Speaking of spiderman 🤟🤟, there is something about you that reminds me of kirsten dunst aka MJ (Mary Jane) and i don't really know what it is , can't really put my finger on it. I perspnally love both of DC and Marvel characters and Movies. A few of my top favourites are definetly Batman , Robin , Joker, SuperMan , Spiderman , The (Incredible) Hulk, Catwoman, Harley Quinn, Wonderwoman etc. P.S. I'm 5'5 and never had major issues getting beautiful women from middle school through university and I'm still a force to be reckoned with at 42. Short men need to work harder to be exceptional in every way to get the same opportunities taller men get with ease. Take this burden in stride and have consolation in knowing you'll become a much stronger and powerful man through this process. Work out and stay fit. Take great care of your hair, skin and nails. Always had a problem getting girls to look my way. So I used to have to go above and beyond impressum with skateboarding be funny make them feel like they're princess it's all too much work. And then when you actually get a woman to hang out with and date most of the time they will leave you or just cheat on you. Coming from experience I have been cheated on and every one of my relationships except for one. So you guys talking about too many women I think you're lying.

I recommend that you continue working on yourself. Stay in great shape. Dress well and always smell good. Work on increasing your income. You need to be what you want to attract. Understand the game. I'm 43 and the sword has never been sharper. I attract beautiful women of all ages and have more options than I can manage. Women pick me up in my building lobby and in the streets. I get compliments hugs and kisses from strangers almost everyday for the fragrances I wear. I've worked on myself big time and it shows. I now have a 5'7 height restriction due to an abundance of options 🤣🤣

I've never had any sort of support system or a single family member or friend to count on. The women I'm attracting are what you describe. It is what it is. Best of luck to you.

thats not true. my coworker is maybe 5"1 5"2? hes married. i have a friend same height and hes gotten laid and such. its all mindset, but yes choices are very limited the shorter you are. but not impossible. even for me im just bitter about it cause im short

Thanks for sending me here. Your advice was helpful. I once read a story in an advice column of a newspaper of a short man who wasn't getting any attention on his dating profile. So he decided to try changing his height on his profile as a test and it worked. He got a lot more attention from women. The advice the advice columnist gave was that his character was more important and there are women out there who do find that important.

There are certainly women who find a man's character to be most important! To a good girl that is the deal breaker. The more a man focuses on all his good points the more attractive he becomes to a woman. If he doesn't treat his height as an issue the right girl won't either. I'm 5.2 therefore out of the game. I shut the door and started thinking about myself only a long time ago; briefly, I quit because I had no other solution. There many things I can do, different jobs and activities, I speak three languages, I'm independent and never bother anybody. But all of these characteristics don't count because of my height. You kept saying "there are girls who..." when it's instead the vast majority who wouldn't even consider talking to me because of my height. I accepted it, as I've been ready to live alone and I'm already doing it.

I would like to express my appreciation for the advice that you've provided in this video. I'm someone who was raised as an LDS member who also happens to stand at 5'5,. 5'6 on Thursday (obviously kidding). I'm writing to reinforce your advice by letting short men know that I've had a ton of relationships that would eventually lead me to a very special lady. If you listen to what a young lady is saying to you and fully engage making her feel uniquely important, you will find what you're looking for.

Your attitude is great, Mel. Guys, I know it can be discouraging at times if you’re short, but my advice is don’t give up hope that one day the right girl will come along. I am just under 5’7”, and had a few problems with online dating for several years (although I did get some dates), eventually I met a wonderful Chinese woman. We have now been married for 8.5 years and have a beautiful 3 year old son.

Hi Coach melannie, I have usually been a confident single man, i'm 5'6 and my height never bothered me much but lately its been really rough. Maybe its a social media craze but I see so many comments about height being such a big deal, that I've become greatly discouraged. I watched your videos but honestly, you keep saying the words "some girls". It really seems like its not some, its MAJORITY of women overwhelmingly prefer taller men. Man i'm in the same boat as you. 25yo 5'3", 130lbs. I'm very small but toned and muscular. I have good looking features and good looking face. With a calm collected, yet social personality. But no luck. Just rejection after rejection. i tried online dating for half a year during the pandemic... which I would never recommend to you. I had 28 matches in 6 months, and most of the ladies had to ask how tall i was, as i looked "very short". So i would reply honestly with "5'3" yourself?" (I honestly don't care if a girl is shorter or taller than me), followed by no more messages. Social media has really driven home the reason to me (height), which i was always curious about when constantly being rejected in person. p.s. this is not a sorry me story, this is just me being very open and realistic to this unfortunate situation many men face. I feel your struggles, i really do. I truly wish I had a positive simple answer to your situation, but I really think we, as shorter men, need to focus more on our own happiness, and only pursue the women that have strong interests in the same things we do for fun. Asking out girls with a brief conversation in a grocery store or at a bar has never worked for me. Not once. So feel free to have a kind conversation, but there's no point bringing yourself down by asking them out. Best of luck dude, keep your head up, and I hope you find a lady with matching hobbies who can look past the unimportance of height.

Had over 200+ views on my profile .got compliments but got asked the same question on Tinder..after we matched and convo was flowing. Height question out of nowhere, then I got unmatched within 1-2minutes.. get told my beard is nice, etc etc... money wont help, it will jist attract users and gold diggers... I may end up leaving the USA some point in my life... maybe after I sell my home within 5yrs... I wish you well my brother

I’m also LDS. Honestly height hasn’t held me back too much in anything except dating. I’m 5’3” and played basketball, soccer, and tennis throughout high school. Even though I was short, I just worked harder than everyone else. I’m super introverted as well, but apparently people like my personality… for best friend status only. I’m a junior in college, and have plenty of friends, but never do anything in the dating world. I haven’t met a girl who is attracted to a guy as short as me. Where the heck can I find one who is?

I appreciate much of what Melanie said here, HOWEVER...cracking jokes about your height (and self deprecating humor in general) is socially very risky business and should be avoided unless you really know what you're doing. It is only endearing if you use it in a context where your are already seen as powerful, and those hearing the joke know you as a person who exudes confidence. Otherwise, it just comes across as a veiled exposition of your insecurities which is never what you want to do as a guy.

Yes, we all have physical things we'd like to change but being short will shrink your dating pool much more than having brown hair or a big nose. Watch any video where they interview women on men's height. There's a reason you don't see many videos of people worrying about hair color or nose size in the dating world.

I'm just under 6', 6" tall. I have not done all that well with women, and never made the slightest attempt at dating until age 30 (53 now). Both my height and my relatively unsuccessful dating efforts are rather well explained by my very late autism diagnosis, though (The height being very likely caused by Marfan's Syndrome, a genetic connective tissue disorder, and connective tissue disorders are HIGHLY correlated with autism).

Ok I do admire your advice, I got confidence, I have humour and I do take risks,, I dont care about my size 5,7,, we all great in our own way, my issue is difficulty of finding the 1 that doesn't mind about size,, ps your beautiful too, lol

In a surprising twist to the story David Archuleta is gay. I have never had a woman tell me that I lacked confidence, but they do tell me that I am too short (5'0). I have heard people say if someone tells you who they are, believe them. If you say that you would never date a man under (fill in the height) no matter what the person is like, that just shows how shallow that person is.

I'm 5,6 and as a teenager it wasn't an issue. As an adult it is an issue for adult women. Guys under 5,11 need not apply.

As someone who has dated very tall men I can say that being an underdog (on the shorter side) is an asset for personal development and long term happiness. Because shorter men had to work harder to get attention I their youth some of them (the healthy ones) developed a better ability to shine with their character and actions. Many very tall men have been considered "the prize" since their teenage years and as a consequence became lazy emotionally, doing the bare minimum or expecting the women to pursue them. Of course, they have more opportunities in their teenage years and twenties (also because relationships are more shallow at these ages and people are less secure in who they are than in their 30s 40s 50s ). Whatever you appearance is important to accept that nobody is every body's type. Grown women want love and safety. If you develop integrity, character, consistency, likeability and healthy masculine traits in addition to what she shared I this video, you will be more fulfilled in your romantic lofe than the tall quarterback you have in mind.

No one wants to sleep with an old dinosaur. Anything over 24 years old is a fossil. The women you speak about only become secure when they become less desirable; it's called hitting the wall so they look for a good guy after getting ran through by all the bad boys then turn the switch off for the good guy and he gets leftover and unfortunately I don't do leftover dinosaur.

I never considered myself short, and I’m like 5’7 1/2. The problem is once your an adult man then it does become more of a problem when your trying to find a women to settle down with or marry. In high school and teenage years girls don’t care as much but in college and adult life they start to get more serious and it’s a big problem for me now. I’m 21 btw.

@@SweetSourPickle Since height fluctuates throughout the day I'd say it's fair to claim the average of one's height, so if he's that tall in the afternoon it's fine or he can even round up to 5'8.

My little sister Christina is 8 years younger than me, but she's 4 inches taller. I'm only 5/7 and she's 5/11, what aggravates and humiliates me. I'm the big brother, why her and not me? And then she complains about the flack she gets about, how tall are you, modeling, the weather, and of course, basketball. I wish I had her problems. We don't know where her height comes from, we are a short family, our dad is only 5/7 and our mom 5/3. Christina in grade school was a little girl, but around age 11 she started to shoot up an inch a month. Mom couldn't keep her in clothes. At 13 she was an inch taller than me at 21, and I've hated this, ever since. At age 17, I had a girlfriend at church camp, Connie, who was 5/8, especially like me, but this annoyed and irritated me, because I was being constantly reminded in how I was shorter than she was.

I'm only 5'2 and have no success with women. I can't even get dates on dating apps. I feel like I'm destined to die alone.

@coach Melannie, which height do you consider short??

I'm 5' 4", but only give my height a passing consideration. When some women found out I was in the army, they say "aren't you too short to be in the army", I just laugh and explain that height on its own doesn't matter. :-)

If that can help I am only 5'6 and turned down several girls who were way taller than me -not a joke- My height is my weakness indeed but....when it comes to chatting, teasing or sharing a good vibe I am a total killer. No one has control over genetic but you sure have control on other things like style, personality and the way you carry yourself everyday.

I'm 6'2" 207 with 14.8% body fat and I will say yes being tall does grab the attention quicker and gets your foot in the door, but being able to keep her attention, attract her and keep her attracted is a different ball game. Women fall in love much slower than guys and that's based on personality. So guys, get to the gym, open some books, build integrity through your belief systems, be kind, loving and joyous. Joy is the playfulness of love. Get some hobbies, lead a fun and productive life and invite that woman you desire, along for the ride.

I've noticed that some women will prefer height over looks more often than not, the guy can look like a chud and be lanky with no muscle mass but will get a woman just because their tall.

What would be the average height for a man or a woman? I believe the average height for a woman is 5'6" and for a male is 5'10"... Its when women throw on heels that kinda makes men feel shorter... I can't tell you how many dating sites ive been on and women stating "Oh yeah I like guys who are at least (whatever) tall because I like to wear heels... Im 5'9" so im JUST below average for an adult male... But what about those guys who are around 5'5" or less?

In the US 5 4 is average for women, 5 9 is average for men

5’9-5’10 is average. 5’10-5’11 is above average. 5’5 and below guys would struggle more as it’s not conventionally attractive for men but it all depends, it’s not a total dating killer, it just makes it harder in general across the board .

Pathetic , Im 5'5 divorcing now because my ex find out I had a lover for 5 years . Im skinny, 6.5 in . I had so many girlfriends . Im in a relaship with a 10 year younger girl. Im also poor only make 45 a year.

Seriously girl..... I get rejected at least 20times before finding a girl just to meet me for a date... British girls HATE short guys...

Bull. Height is the most important thing to women. Period. There are very few exceptions. Just like men who prefer morbidly obese women. Short guys can get a girlfriend, but it's massively harder to get them and keep them. On the plus side, it's been proven masturbation does not cause hair to grow in your palm. P.S. Eye color is second for women.

I disagree, I am 6'5 and 26 but never had a gf. I think being good looking is the most important as I am tall but quite ugly.
