Lucifer was an anointed cherub in Gods throne room (look to the Ark of the covenant with the 2 cherubs on top) much like Jesus an Arch angel but fell because of his desire to be like the most High God and dethrone Him. We as humans are simply a puzzle piece in Satans attempts to prove to God that he deserves to be God and not Jehovah. We gave over our dominion and rights to the devil and he is now the god of this world. Jesus was commanded to take back possession of the earth and His Elect that overcome the dragon. God could just destroy the devil, but in His perfect will, He is proving that He is God for a reason and no one is like Him.

Comvincing but I think he first took with himself angels and rebelled, then fight between army of Archangel Michael and the Satan's army and then was casted out as said in Revelation.

Satan rebelled because of his own free will and evilness he thought he was better than God and wanted to be the number one person in the world

Correct. Isaiah 14 shows the pride of Lucifer. He was the #1 top angel whose wings literally covered the Throne of God. This apparently wasn't enough for him. God declared 6 judgments against him, reducing him each time. 1. Cast him out of Heaven. He no longer covers the Throne of God. 2. Curse him to crawl on his belly with no legs (the serpent). 3. Rename him Satan (the enemy or adversary). This also changed his character. He now had to be the enemy of God at all times. He couldn't repent or do any good deed. 4. He was de-fanged when Jesus died on the cross and resurrected. He was broken and there was a time limit placed on him. 5. After the Battle of Armageddon, Satan will be bound in a pit for 1000 years where he will be unable to influence the world. 6. The final judgment will be casting him into the Lake of Fire for all eternity. Pride set him on this path. It's a huge problem for people as well. Pride is the single most expensive thing you can own. Get rid of it.

@@DawnshieId Who is Satan, or you, for that matter, to question an Almighty God? The creator is free to do as he pleases with His creation, when it's said and done. Yet he doesn't. He chooses not to. He chooses to give us free will, the same free will he gave to Lucifer. He wants us to 'choose' to love Him and glorify Him. Who are we, lowly servants, to question Him or His plan? Would you speak with such arrogance, before a king? No, because you fear the repercussion. How about the King above all kings? God is good to us, and he was good to Lucifer, first. Like you, Lucifer failed to know his place and acted out of his own negative emotions. God is light and in Him, there is no darkness at all. God is good, righteous and just, in ways we can't even begin to comprehend. Lucifer had his place and it was secured. But with his free will, he chose to step out of line.

Satan’s sin that will ultimately lead him to death is his arrogance : he believes he knows better than God and his ego was harmed when he learned humans, who were weak and insignificant in his eyes, will one day rule over him. He’s too self-absorbed to question his way of thinking, and he never learned to humble himself so he can follow the Lord’s will like all the other angels. That’s why Satan will never ask God for forgiveness, even if he knew the Lord will forgive him, because he doesn’t want to be *with* God, he wants to *be* God.

The odds are 1 to a number greater than all the atoms believed to be in the whole universe. You are blaspheming God. Correction: Lucifer sinned way earlier than after the fall of man. Back in heaven he wanted to level himself with God and sit on His throne. God heard his thoughts and cast him from heaven to earth, where he tempted Eve. Lucifer would never have had the conversation with Eve had he not fallen in sin before back in heaven. There is no actual biblical timeline that puts his fall earlier than the fall of man. No time is specifically given in scripture. Psalm 104:4 seems to put the creation of angels on day 2. So his own rebellion is sometime after day 2. He is a guardian cherub and it is possible his job was to guard the trees, which is why he was there, and indeed his own fall may have occurred when he rebelled in his heart, and decided to tempt mankind and seize power over them. At this moment we hear God’s judgement against him - that he wanted to make himself high, but would be cast down to “eretz” meaning both “earth” but also “the underworld”.

Actually Yaweh is the first narcissist. He is a jealous god and wants to be praised no matter what. If he kills your whole family he wants you to see him as perfect no matter what. In fact technically God is a narcissist and he only keeps humans around because we are prone to ignorance and will worship him in spite of any factual evidence that he may be evil. He love humans because we make the perfect slaves.

Yes it's a title not a name. I've heard it said that his true name is enlil but even that might be a pseudonym. Satan comes from the planet saturn which some believe was like a second sun at one time and it still puts out more energy than it receives from the sun. That would explain why he was called "light bringer" or "morning star" as the planet was, or at least may have been, somehow dedicated to him.

So if it's just a title, what is his real name? Does he even have one? Because I know there are a lot of people that say Lucifer, Satan, and The Devil are different beings. It's kind of confusing, they think he has his own Trinity like how God has The Father, The Son, The Holy Spirit. I mean, I know there are different demons and high ranking fallen angels, but it's hard to tell which ones are true, and which ones are false. Some of them, might have been made up by humanity, we won't know for sure.

If there were no standards of justice, there would be no clear basis for what constitutes leniency or compassion. Without justice, everything would be arbitrary, and acts of mercy would be indistinguishable from mere randomness or inconsistency. For mercy to be meaningful, there must be an acknowledgment of wrongdoing and an understanding that the person deserves punishment. This acknowledgment comes from the principles of justice. Without recognizing what is just, it’s impossible to recognize what constitutes a merciful act.

You put it perfectly, a third of the angels "deserted" their positions and allied themselves with Satan, no war needed. The passage, Revelations 12, that is usually cited to support a war in heaven at Satan's fall, is actually pointing to a future that takes place in the end times. When read in context that much is obvious.

Correct. Satan can still visit God's throne to accuse us, as he did with Job. What's mentioned in Revelation 12 is actually Satan and the fallen angels being thrown out never having access to the third heaven anymore. They're finally kicked out never to be allowed back for all eternity.

It was implied in the book of Job that Satan could maybe just kinda get back into Heaven even after his fall.... although it's not his territory and he's not welcome there. It's plausible he could leap back up there after tempting the humans.

In extra-biblical texts, it's pretty clear what the original thought was on this topic. He was upset and jealous, because he viewed humans as inferior. He was commanded to worship humans as the living image of God, but he refused. Instead, he thought humans should worship him. Some of the other angels thought so too.

Apostle Paul said they were suppose to "minister" to us, and also are left with curiosity as to why God became like us. Some angels get very upset over this, not the least of which is because humans are, in some sense, the summation of existence - angels are bodiless and can't really interact with the world without our cooperation. Also, when I say worship, I meant it in the sense of respect and honor; venerate. That's what you do with icons. A image is a ICON. There's a specific type of worship that's for God alone.

Well I think his example to us throughout the Old Testament is abominable! (Day 148 of bible reading) makes me wonder who exactly is this character I’m reading about? Satan is known as the deceiver. Jesus' role on Earth many years ago was to fulfill a different kind of prophecy and save us from eternal punishment from God. His timing is Right and He will bring swift Justice to everything on this Earth one day. So there's needs to be an atonement for the sins we've done against Him. (again in John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave His one and only Son[Jesus], that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.") and Jesus is now in heaven preparing a place (heaven) for his Bride (born-again Christians that surrendered to Him) as mentioned in John 14:2-3 "My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am." The Anti-Christ I mentioned about earlier will one day in the future sit on the throne of the newly rebuilt temple of Solomon in Israel and literally say the words "I am God." (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4) That action will be an act of Blasphemy for Jews at that time. Revelation depicts various dramatic events, including earthquakes, the removal of mountains and islands, and cosmic disturbances, all symbolizing the comprehensive and transformative nature of God's final judgment and the ultimate renewal of creation. (Revelation 6:12-17, Revelation 16:17-21, Revelation 20:11) I pray this helps you understand the Truth of what has happened, what is happening, and what is to come in the future, friend. But this time, read them in context instead of taking each of them out of context. for example, the Deuteronomy 30:3 verse you provided, it isn't even talking about the coming messiah at all. it's not even referenced at all there. Come on dude, it's sooooooooo easy to read just a few verses beforehand to understand context. The verse is literally just God saying that if the Israelites turn from evil, he will bring them back from being scattered.

@@Pomni740 you are mistaking his second coming with his first. Messiah came first to deal with sin. At the end of the age he will come again and fulfill the remaining prophecies, sitting on David’s throne and ruling over the nations.

Well, we are all entitled to our opinions and I understand why you concluded that Jesus is not the Messiah. However, one thing I would say is, from experience and studies, prophecies have never happened exactly as prophecied AT FIRST but eventually, everything begins to unfold. Secondly, some prophecies are not to be taken literally. But this is all I will say for now. Not really interested in arguing with anyone.

Satan thought God's plan for humans was flawed because he believed pain would cause humans to fail and fall, which would cause others to fall. Satan decided to create a new plan in which no pain or failure was possible (no choice or understanding either). God said no. Satan convinced a third of the host of heaven to follow him, with the goal to inflict pain and confusion until all fell and failed, including saints and angels.

If it helps, the final possible endings are based on how pain is handled: heaven for those that embrace pain for love sake, Nirvana for those that avoid disappointment, Valhalla for those embracing the moment.

⁠@@davidndu7396There are two teaching that are biblical one is right after creation Satan rebelled. I don’t subscribe to this believe I believe the gap theory. Which fills in the blanks for the rebellion. If you look at first chapter in Genesis. God created Heaven singular and Earth singular. But now we get the spirit hovering over the waters and darkness. This in my opinion was judgment because everything is in chaos at this point. The earth was already in the waters. Adam was told to replenish the earth. That means it was filled once. Also we get three heavens because God had to divide them why. The 3rd heaven is where God resides it is separated from the second Heaven via the firmament above which is the sea of glass. Why did God separate The third Heaven from the second which is space. Because that is where Satan and the fallen angels domain is. Remember God didn’t call the space in between the firmament above and below which is outer space good reason why Satan and those angels live there.

I think the saddest thing is that his rebellion was based on not wanting to see God become a human being, and so elevate humanity above the angels. Like the brother of the prodigal son. We should pray for for the humility to rejoice in seeing others elevated.
