Quick Correction: Digsy’s proper name is Peter Deary not Paul Deary. Whoops.

He don't know himself so don't worry too much.
I hate the way that Noel turned against the Real People and the role that they played in the early days of Oasis. I’m so glad that Tony’s book makes it clear what actually happened, and how much help Oasis were given by the Griffiths brothers.

The good thing is everyone knows the truth, even though the Realies never made it to the heights of Oasis they’ve got a great fanbase and are highly respected band , one of my favourite bands class they are.
I first read "Guigsy" in the title and thought "he finally did it!"....I hope you'll get him one day

All these people really back up what Liam's been saying for years. And the fact The Real People said they'd work with Liam "any day" sums it up.

Yeah but if you listen He talks about asking Liam about the Columbia situation & they all call him little Fuck for denying everything & saying ask our kid as Liam said he didn’t know what they were talking about. Although they all say Liam knew exactly what they were saying.
James, by far my favourite video yet this. Have you never tried to reach out to Tony McCarroll for an interview. That would be next level epic
I always knew that Noel didn’t like Tony McCarroll but it’s great to hear it confirmed by people who were there. There was nothing wrong with his drumming, it was the main reason behind the punky and hard edged sound Oasis had in the first year or two.

Spot on fella
Thanks James this was fantastic. Says it all that the Realies would work with Liam any day.
All these people who knew Oasis in the early days, respect and speak the world of liam, whereas they all mention they fellout with Noel or don't respect him strangely. Any who brilliant interview with Chris, Tony and also Digsy they genuinely seem like some great genuine and 'real people' pun intended, cheers for this James
Definitely my fave channel. Brilliant James for interviewing one of the greatest bands ever. Would love to have heard more stories about ocd and they time as the real people gigging in the 90s and beyond.
Love this video, James. Been a fan of the Real People since the very start of the nineties. I can remember playing their first album to the manager of a club band I was driving for who was a huge Beatles fan and he was blown away. They were actually the first band I saw live. When Oasis came along, I was like, fuck off, you’ve ripped off the Real People. But of course I got into Oasis - while remaining loyal to the Realies. Later I’d learn of Noel’s shitty attitude towards the band that gave him so much and I hated him for it. He’s a tosser really, but a bloody talented one. Anyway, once I went to see OCS at Newcastle City Hall and got there a bit late, and me and my mate nipped into the bar to get a pint before going into the gig, and the room was empty but for the Real People, who’d been the support act. So we fucked off the OCS gig and got plastered with the Realies. I only wish I had photos from that night because it was amazing. Great lads who deserve a bigger slice of the pie. Keep up the good work, mate.
Thanks to your channel I actually discovered The Real People so thanks for that - been enjoying them on Spotify. Despite being an Oasis fan in the 90s, I hadn't been aware of their origins and The Real People's influence and contributions.
Thanks James, another great video. I loved the Real People and your content has got me rediscovering Oasis. May your channel continue to go from strength to strength!

As a massive realies fan what a video. Chris and Tony are great lads and digsy is too. Just shows how much of a knob Noel is. It's great to see the real people get their long overdue coverage.
More great content again James, I went to see the Real people about 4 years ago and was blown away with how much influence they had on early oasis, as they played their set I could hear various definitely maybe tracks in parts of the songs, it was a really weird feeling as the penny dropped and everything makes sense now together with the other content you’ve put out about about it. Keep up the great work.. this is one of my favourite vids you’ve done along with the seahorses story, Paolo Huwitt interview and Damon Minchella interview the other week, You’re really building something here ✌🏻
Oh man the La's were so good, what a huge what if in music
Great hearing stories about Lee Mavers, was hoping he would get a mention as I thought he was bound to be mixing in the circles of these guys. Would love to hear more of the Mavers stuff from these guys.
Brilliant again, best channel on you tube. The realies and sums (digsys band) doing a benefit night for the late exceptional talented owen moran. Oldy aintree 15th Oct. Video Shows the mark of the realies and digsy, amazing tallent and boss fellas
It'd be nice if these lads produced an album for Liam. All the reallies tunes are fantastic, I just can't understand why they aren't more successful. The gig on the hotel's roof playing "dream on" is absolutely stunning! Even I am stealing a tune or two from them! 😎🤘
Man, what can I say... you channel gets better and better. I love the La's! the connections to oasis. Brill
Great that you giving the Realies the credit they deserve….unreal band Smaller were superb too
Thanks to your vids I’ve really got into the real people, buying their old vinyl and proper loving the music,LEGENDS.👍
Liams voice in the boardwalk is hauntingly good
That was class James....... could have watched another couple hours of that 👍✌
Brilliant watch. Tony and Chris are top genuine guys...
the real people are just that, genuine real guys great interview man everyone comes off sound
I've been looking for "Take Me" for years. I remember hearing it about 10 years ago and the only thing that stuck was the melody and the bassline, couldn't remember the lyrics at all. James strikes again! Great video.
As a massive Real people fan and big fan of Oasis and the sums, this is boss James and your stuff is pretty good mate too, thanks watched this 3 times already👍👍👍
The Truth will out. Liam ought to team up with Tony & Chris and make a record. Noel would shit himself.
I first saw Oasis play live at the Royal Court in Liverpool. Liam came out and stood on the front of the stage - there were strobe lights behind him - he was wearing sunglasses. He then offered everyone out! So cool!
Another great video James, keep up the great work.
This is great, I love them - they're genuine and likeable guys, not to mention amazingly talented. I'd love to know more about the realies relationship with OCS and Weller, the gigs, etc. Your content is getting better all the time, James.

In all my years of trying to imagine a face to go with the name “Digsy”, Albert Steptoe’s was not one of them.
I remember watching smaller live at Camden barfly and in the crowd at the back were Chris from real people and Liam arguing, makes more sense
Thanks for teasing this on instagram
I still listen to the Smaller album today. It's really stood the test of time.
James’s opening pick of “There she goes” is haunting, because of course the sound is authentic. To the max, an ex-Lee Mavers guitar.
Great video James, awesome yarns to hear. I'm just not sure what to make of it all, Noel's always been a bit cold blooded and ruthless, and we shouldn't be surprised by that at this stage. The Real People seem like top lads, but they've got writing credits on the likes of Rockin' Chair- Plus an out of court settlement- i feel like they do have their dues for what they did.
JAMES YOUR A LEGEND.
Dream On is such a great song, would also love to see a Liam cover
As an Oasis fan I am huge grateful to the Real People who did not get the credit they deserve and let’s be honest Noel ripped them off. As for Diddly Digsy dairy what a character

Fantastic. At 9.00 the auto captions just gave up!
I'd like to have been a fly on the wall backstage at OCS's Albert Hall gig after now finding all this out, I was at the gig and it was an amazing night, now 25 years later I find out there was bad feeling between the Griffiths brothers and Noel.

They were sound they used to hav a frisk and a laugh with us every weekend pretty much for that whole summer and as massive oasis fans we were buzzing cos they wer telling us loads of inside info all good fun tho and in jest etc.. Noel’s a bell end now. I preferred him when he was a normal Manchester scaly now he goes wine tasting with bono in south of France etc what a change! For the worse! Liams never changed and he’s by far more likeable that Noel now with his styled hair leather jacket like a right ponce probably everythjng he would if hated when first started off! Now he’s a tool. Liams a frisk. These lads deserve recognition and the money oasis made surely you’d make everyone who helped u on your journey Rich aswell! Great video james, did you get any other good stories on Lee Mavers?
Another GREAT Video James. We all know that Noel and Liam are very wealthy but it would be interesting to see a video on how well the others did. I saw an interview with Noel once where he said the money didn't start rolling in bigtime until 97' - 98'. Which was surprising but understandeable as royalties usually take a while to be paid & accounted for. So, I'm wondering how Tony, Guigsy and Bonehead did financially. And what they're up to today?
