I have a friend travelled from London to Shanghai and lived in China for two years. His first month was difficult. He had to learn how to use mobile paying apps, learn how to order take-away, etc. After that, he felt great every day. He said in London, life is so short. People normally go home after 6pm and stay at home. Shops ate closed at 6pm and entertainments are far away. Only pubs are open. But in China, there are so many things to enjoy every day. So many shops and entertainments open till late. And China has many beautiful places to explore. People are busy enjoy all these things. Or busy making money to prepare for next journey. Who care about western's so-called democracy or authoritarian.

Great video interview....Well done. A few points to collaborate with Steve Weaver's view. 1. Feeling safe.. look at the Chinese pedestrains passing the two. They look very comfortable, happy, not proverty like dressing. Killing in Manchester...sad but true.. I too feel uncomfortable after drawing out £200 cash from a bank. Hands over pocket - how very true. 2. Economy in China... Steve confirms what I read on so many channels... Shops large and small in good shape.. Here in UK , a very long standing chain Wickes(Wilko) just closed down. Walk along any high street in small towns and large ones - the number of closed down shops are at least 10 percent (generous estimate). Doorway becomes sleep area at night. 3.Transport infrastructure - eg in UK. Timetables are not followed, cancelled buses... In London, priority given to any protesting group. Hours lost every week when Trafalgar area is closed off. High speed Rail..... Still in progress after 25 years and cost per km is over 10 times of China's.. 4. NHS Health Care surgeries are not fuctioning. Weeks to get an appointment, months to get a minor operation. enough said for staying in UK. Wish I can move to China

There are those who try to equate China as another Czechoslovakia or Stalinist Soviet Union or North Korea, just because they happen to have the same moniker, "Communist" attached. This shows the shallowness of their already very poor educational background. China today has been for the past 40 years, a country that can be more described like a Socialist-Democracy or "Communist with Chinese Characteristics", a mixed economy that is pragmatic than one that is narrow-minded and myopic. In a fast changing world, such systems are far more practical and useful for citizens than for those living in countries that are stuck fast to their 200 - 300 year old Constitutions frozen in time.

But no matter how many times he has been proven wrong that crooks still peddles his China collapse theories! If the American mainstream media is credible they would tear him apart for his lies never mind keep inviting him onto their shows to spread more of his same old lies! That was when I begun to realize how fake the US mainstream media was!

Here's a joke. By around 2022, Foxxconn will start moving it's factories out of Mainland China and to India and Vietnam. Another joke: By around 2020, China's population will start one of the fastest declines in human history. the punchline: it will be even faster decline of working age people becoming old people. Here's another joke; Evergrande and Country Garden, possibly 2 of the most massive central pillars of the Chinese economy will collapse so badly in 2023 the government cannot even save it or fake saving it. follow-up joke: a home in Shanghai that was sold for 1.5 million a few years ago can now be bought, (with some illegal moves) for less than 500,000 and dropping. Here's another joke, you paid 30% more for the same food you enjoyed 5 years ago but you earn the same amount of money or less. More of your friends are unemployed than 5 years ago. Funny jokes?

Every single Government in the world is inherently "Authoritarian", they have to be in order to enforce laws and policies. The only concept of a Non-Authoritarian country is one that's State-less, borderless; and each person governs oneself - Which is impossible, as there will be anarchy.

Freedom just mean white europeans can freely shoot blacks. If you're black then things haven't really changed much.

Oh,,, I lived in a communist country for some 18 years. I can smell communist propaganda from far away, even from China. We were also told that Czechoslovakia is perfect, TV spoke about our success and the hard life in the West. The truth was that life was just as hard everywhere. The only problem was that you easily ended up in prison. Not because you were a criminal, but because you criticized the government. If there was KZread at that time, anyone who openly criticized it would end up there, the same goes for these videos praising China. Do not get fooled. I got the the University only because the communist regime fell. My parents were not communists and it was pretty hard for their children to get higher education. My older sister had to wait after the Velvet Revolution.
