The REAL BUKIT BINTANG - The Heart of KUALA LUMPUR!

The district of Bukit Bintang is the heart of Kuala Lumpur in terms of shopping, food and nightlife. In this video I'll show around, show you what it's really like and why you should stay here!
We'll visit some of the malls of the area (The oldest - Sungei Wang Plaza, The most techie - Plaza Low Yat and the biggest - Berjaya Times Square). Finally the Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport for lunch at the amazing Hawker Chan KL branch.
There'll be plenty of colourful street art to explore around Jalan Rembia, Alor Backspace and Graffiti alley.
We'll see the famous Jalan Alor Food Street where the tourists eat, but head for food at the Lot 10 Hutong Food Court where the locals eat.
And of course we'll finish off at the main nightlife street of the city, Changkat Bukit Bintang.
Come with me and I'll give you a great feel for what it's like in the heart of KL!

    _Terima kasih_ Thank you to both of you for the kind compliments on KL/malaysia. On the other hand, I myself have also had the pleasant opportunity to visit some places in the UK, italy and the netherlands too apart from a few other european countries/cities, and view for myself the beautiful things in these places which I have truly enjoyed 👍 But at the same time I'm also very much looking forward to going back to malaysia 😬

    I've been a few times to KL (before I started recently on KZread) so it's not new to me, though I've certainly seen it change since I first visited in 2006. I didn't have much time there on this visit, but sometime over the next year I want to return and make a lot more videos in KL and Malaysia. It's such a beautiful country and it's the place that first drew me to SE Asia back in 2006. They'll be a video set in Chinatown coming next Sunday. Thanks for watching!

    @@ChrisKermis okay I have a question for you, interrogation time hahah 😂 What about durian that you hated/disliked (several times) previously? Was it exclusively the strong nasty overpowering smell that made you simply couldn't bring yourself to eat/swallow the flesh? Was it the smell, plus the soft creamy texture that stopped you in your track? Or was it the taste, which you found weird, hence unacceptable?

  • @ChrisKermis

    @ChrisKermis

    11 ай бұрын

    Sure, the texture is like custard, no problem there. The smell is really off-putting, and aroma is really directly linked to flavour so I guess that’s it. When I tried it this time, I did get the off-putting aroma, but not as much as I’ve experienced it in the past, and then it became more subdued in the flavour. It’s hard to say more than that, but at this point I would eat it again and not think of it as something potentially disgusting but as something enjoyable in a strange way.
