    Hi Ben, nose like a bloodhound finding that little beauty. I can assure you that even though its a considerable investment it will continue to gain value over the years to come. Its not only a very rare one to find of any age its also in incredible condition. An iconic find that will have all serious Stanley collectors in awe.

    Nice find. I am a wood worker and buy tools to use. I bought a Stanley #2 plane at a garage sale for $5.00 and love it.

    Amazing acquisition. I am glad that such a rare Stanley plane is in the hands of someone who has such an understanding and appreciation for these tools. Your friend who makes planes does superb work. Very fine craftsmanship.

    I never get the excitement shown over the #no1. People seem to go mad over what is basically a Factory Manufactured Plane . They are not really that rare and the prices paid ??? The one in the Video wasn't in great condition and I think was probably later than claimed but if it makes you happy good and I suppose each to their own

    Wow amazing man!! It is a truest amazing plane!!! Good for you!! I recently found a plumb cedar pattern cruiser axe (basically the Stanley no. 1 in the axe world). I was happy with it haha. Still looking for my first No. 1 though!!!

    Very nice addition to your collection but what a price! I love hand planes and have a few that go back to the late 1800’s. Don’t know what it is that makes them so attractive.

    The Lie Nielsen has cherry handles, I have one from 2005 and its still in the box never been used , I have the No1 too, great find well done 👏 👍👌

    Thanks Stephen that’s always the way you never get anything cheap on eBay anymore but it’s fun bidding anyway Rosie is very talented and she’s doing really well Hopefully she’ll channel will grow quickly and she can have a big following fingers crossed :-)

    What a great find. The trademark on the iron is from 1891-1901. Prior to that it was Stanley Rule & Level and before that Bailey's. What does the stamping say on the side of the tote?
