The Ranger Station MTB vacation house has been running for over a year. How has it done?

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

The Berm Peak Ranger Station has been in operation since June of 2021, and has hosted hundreds of mountain bikers from this audience. Let's take a look at how they have been enjoying the home, and what has changed here.
We start with some funny behind the scenes trash management. It seems like there's a simple solution, like getting a smaller can and putting a liner in it, but then families fill it up and call us. There are bears here so everything really needs to be in a container.

Get yourself the big trash bin plastic liners so it keeps you from climbing inside the trash bin! Or keep a grabber in the closet. Love the cabin! Would love to stay, any chance of adding a hot tub?😁🥳✌️

Hey Seth I think small QR code through out the house that guest can scan and give them the run down on certain things.. let them be linked to private videos of you explaining stuff… example, a video showing how to make the video game work, or how to drive the RCs correctly. Just little things like that.

i mean, for repairablility, sometimes going name brand could be the way to go as repairing the rc cars is a must when spending hobby grade money. Maybe getting a 1/10th scale 2wd traxxas slash. In my experience staying at various AirBnB/Holiday lets is that the vast majority of people actually do want to keep the place clean so that other people can enjoy it to the fullest extent, so I think it's really cool that you're putting facilities in place for that - many places I've been to don't have a vacuum or even a dustpan/brush

A better way to handle the leaves is to mow them up into a bag. This mulches them finely and you can start a compost heap somewhere like behind the property. I did about 20 bags this fall and put them into a spot I want to grow cukes and sugar baby watermelons in next year. If you don't want to compost then this method allows you to fit a lot more leaves in a bag. You should get a large wood chipper, too, then you could make trails and paths from your onsite tree branches.
