Thanks Jeffery. I like the way it sounds on the mandolin.
I emailed you about this almost a year ago I don’t know if you ever saw it but I’m very happy to see it on the channel

Thank you my friend.
Interesting. I'm going to try this on the octave mandoline I bought last month. Quite a challenge for a bass-player ;-)

From u.k. My son played bass for years, and bought a mandolin and was all over it in no time. You will be fine.

@@madcyril4135 I guess you're right. I already use the octave mandolin in two songs with my band (I leave the bass to our accordionist there.). By the way, I continue to play bass in the other songs, cause I'm a real bassman ;-)

@@56Jeannot Yes my two lads both still play bass in bands now in their 30s. I have to say the instrument has a certain appeal, I worked for 35 yrs with Pino Palladinos brother in law. So that with my Pastorius albums lying around the house you can guess the rest! An absolute nightmare for me being an unpaid roadie. Different gigs miles apart, same night! Equipment, car, weather, parking problems, access old venues. Got helped out a few times by professional roadies, great blokes. Went to see my eldest play last week at an open mike night. Him playing bass, he has a Warwick thumb, and a spectre. And his mate playing an acoustic guitar, they don’t gig as much these days, but I used to love it. take care.
