LN readers, "Thats not the rage of Tempest, this is a minor irritation or small resentment". The real rage of Tempest happens in volume 15 when Rimuru yells "dont fuck with me" and goes into a blind, murderous rage that gave Diablo and the rest a huge boner seeing their beloved master about to go all out and punish the fools who dared to challenge him. It also made his enemies realize they messed up by underestimating him and sent chills down their spines but they were too late to do anything.

I love how Gabiru absolutely destroys the people. We think of him as quite weak, but then you realize that's just because he's surrounded by such OP characters

Even when he was trying to kill Rimuru to avenge his clan, Benimaru didnt have such much hatred in his eyes compared to this episode. He forgave even Geld for destroying his village and promised he wouldn't let this happen again all the way in S1. Everything after Hakuro said "you cant see nothing yet" happened in a fraction of a second, meaning even with his All seeing eye skill, he couldn't keep up with Hakuro's speed. And a severed head is still conscious for a few seconds, so with his skill he was conscious for dozens of minutes suffering as a decapitated head. Megiddo and Armageddon are related words, and Armageddon is known as the last battle before the Day of Judgement, so Megiddo carries a powerful meaning. In the anime he one shots everyone, but in the original source he sometimes purposefully aimed at non vital spots so that they wouldn't die immediately but rather suffer. Here's an explanation of how the skill works: he summons a bunch of drops of water, which is where all the magic is used on. After that, he uses those drops of water as magnifying glasses to intensify the Sun's heat and thus creating small laser beams, and he positions all of those water drops so that the beams bounce from drop to drop to a person. All of the calculations on where to place each drop is calculated by Great Sage, and since Megiddo doesn't rely on magic but instead physics he can spam it as much as he wants even in an Anti-magic area.

But his thoughts acceleration is 1000 times at full power. Which means he suffer for even longer. Hakuro deliberately force him to use it at maximum potential so he would suffer for longer time. Also hakuro third eye is called heaven's gaze/celestial eye. It's literally upgraded version of all seeing eye that kyoua had.

In case you're wondering, "Megiddo" comes from the torah, I believe, and basically means the end of the world. It's the root of the word "armageddon"

It's the other way round. "Armageddon" just means "hill of Megiddo", which is an actual location in Israel. But it is foretold to be the place of the final battle between good and evil, so the name took extra meaning over the centuries.

You remember back when Rimuru promised Gobta a custom weapon? The one they decided on, was a sheath that fired energy projectiles. He's seriously goated ngl.

Benimaru cutting that guy in half is one of my favorite scenes. Hell, most of this episode is my favorite scenes.

this episode is the most satisfying as they take time to punish the enemies

Actually a fun fact is that Shogo's Survivor skill nullified pain. But Geld had attached his own unique skill as well as rot to his hands and proceeded to beat him senseless to the point it was cracking his soul. MIND YOU, he was literally touching Shogo's soul with every punch and if he'd managed to cut his head off his regeneration would've been moot as his soul would have shattered.

Seeing Geld destroy Shogo was peak satisfaction, especially when you watch slime diaries and realize that some of those children were killed too. Geld's rage was totally justified

I told you when you first started this series, it is wholesome in it's own way. even in the method of how Rimuru exacts his revenge on his enemies. your reactions thus far to this series has been purely wholesome. also your reaction to Shion's death... same.. very few anime i've watched over the years will cause me to start bawling like a kid.. this was one of them.

@NeelDesai do you know why geld was so angry ?? 2 reasons 1st is it's because his history, his father led the army of hungry orcs where they eat their allies to gain strenght and geld was pretty much the only orc that retained his sanity and is still devastated by his past so shogo killing his ally infront of geld to gain strenght made him angry 2nd. geld is basically the cool and calm uncle of all the chindrens in tempest and the invaders killed those kids infront of geld and he couldn't do anything about it that's why he didn't lend the finishing blow in the very start he punched shogo to a pulp

The double barrier was just the start ... it's only been mentioned in passing, but all the monsters or at least the higher ones (like the high orks or ex-ogres) suppress their energie a lot, because if they don't the magicule emission of their auras will hurt or even kill weaker monsters and humans .. that's why last episode Rimuru had to wear the suppression mask .. his aura was so strong it was hurting the others

Btw, one minor detail, Geld especially is probably gonna be incredibly pissed because of friendly fire, considering what he experienced during the "starved" march

The magic he uses to kill the army isn't as simple as it looks. This is more detail from the novel: Since he's using an anti-magic area, he himself also can't cast magic into it, so he cant just hit them with spells. So what he did was invent a new type of magic based on his knowledge of Physics. What he's doing is summoning water spirits outside of the area and making them take the form of a lens. Then he uses them to concentrate and direct the sunlight into lasers to kill the enemies without the field blocking out magic (since he isn't shooting magic into it, just light).

Geld beating the absolute fuck outta Shogo was so damn satisfying. My favorite scene in the series so far. In the book, Rimuru made sure each soldier felt pain before he killed them. It wasn't as instant as it seemed in the anime.

I was hoping that we gotten to see the three otherworlders suffer 😡 Considering they were the ones to instigate the fight

Hakurou has quite a mean streak, he let his enemy go at him full power just to make him suffer. He essentially pulled a Mayuri however not to the same degree. Still the kids got what they deserved for thinking that all slimes are weak.

Don’t worry you gonna get your moments 🤧🤧 tbh for me slime one of the top best when you think about story progression without time skips you can go back and see how they slowly progress in a actual village or city just by seeing the little goblin tribe gets bigger and become a city and roads

Inside the anti-magic barrier he used spirits(very minor spirits) to control the water drops. Hinata had used spirits inside the anti magic barrier.

The douchebag in this episode is older and has full access to the immeasurable power in him, so maybe that gives him better control of the skill. 8:05 Mayne remember Rimiru's battle with the Orc Disaster? THAT Geld tried attacking with a Rot Attack then. His son, this Geld, received the same powers of his dad theough Rimiru.

Actually unique skill survivor skill has " pain nullification" ability. it's same as rimuru's. But it only block pain of physical body damage but don't cancel pain from spiritual body damage. Geld's chaos eater damage spiritual body too. He was too damaged and razen killed whatever little was left because he wasn't useful. Spiritual damage only heal in evolution or by skill to heal spiritual damage.

Believe or not razen does indeed possess power to challenge a demon lord. However Rimuru is greatest anomaly in the world and definitely not a normal demon lord, he is going to become a "true demon lord" and already very strong as demon lord seed. Due his bad luck he meet two greatest anomaly in the world.

Hakuro is COLD! It's like Kurotsuchi Mayuri vs Szayelapporo all over again

This anime always has 10/10 SFX

Quick tidbit: Megido is NOT Magic. Its a SKILL that physically alters water. The "World System" (as I call it don't remember if it has an actual name) doesn't recognize it as magic. Which is why it can be used inside Anti-Magic Barrier. Is the skill "Water Manipulation" (or I think an upgraded version) that Rimuru received at the very start of the story.

Yeah... There are plenty of episodes left in this season that would give you that BOOST to put it at one of the best anime shows you've ever watched.

so fun real life fact: Your brain remain active and concious for 30 to 45 seconds after decapitation. so his ability made that time extend (or feel like its extended) by 300x so 9000 to 13500 seconds or 150 to 225 minutes or 2.5 to 3.75 hours of continued awareness :D

Honestly the most satisfying payback time/episode I've seen in whole anime

Rurouni Kenshin has some interesting uses for the sheathe, for both attack and defense

It is widely believed a person remains conciuanse for 5 to 7 seconds AFTER decapitation. Scince he's processing information 300 or so times faster with Th I ught Excelaration, that goes from 5 to 7 seconds, to a whopping...I don't actually know. 5 × 300 = 1,500 seconds. 1,500 ÷ 60 = 10+10+ (300÷60=5 again). So, almost 1/2 an hour of neck chopping pain! MINIMUM!!!

A great cartoon show would be "American Dragon: Jake Long"

For me it's the second anime I saw using the sheathe as an attack. The first one was in Rurouni Kenshin

I'm too lazy to read all 334 comments ( as of 5/22/2023). I want to explain Megiddo. Rimuru uses water manipulation to shape the water into a lens. And just like a Magnifying Glass can be used to start a fire by concentrating the sun's light into a minor point, Rimuru does basically the same thing but on a colossal scale. This is one of the reasons I love this anime.

Gobta's weapon is made by Kurobe, Rimuru said if he won Gabiru he will ask Kurobe make a weapon. Hakuro's sword act is faster than all-seeing eyes, so Kyoya is dead already before he realized it. Shougo's skill may heal his body but he still feel pain, so his skill make feel the agony with broken bone again and again. final, Rimuru's megiddo means God's anger, use the little slime to concentrate the sunlight more and more untill it can get through everything.

pain nullification is one of the abilities of unique skill Survivor along with natural attack resistant and ultraspeed regeneration.

So about Souei's kills, the joke is that, they are so flashy that if they were to show the actual kill on screen you would be blinded by pure epicness Hence why it's always off Screen kills

Slime in my opinion is the most rewatchable anime at least one of them

that was aura, black means darkness in his heart now, and that confused lines his, mess and confuzed emotions

basic rule of anime, do not f$%k with the old guy lol and the one guy "congrats you played yourself, as an immortal punching bag " :P
