Hadoken, Shoryuken and Tatsumaki Senpukyaku are references to the Street Fighter Saga, Kamehameha is obviously from Dragon Ball, but when Veldora mentions Yagumo and Pai, that is a reference to the very old manga 3 x 3 Eyes.

So yeah, I heard that the reason why Veldora didn't get to meet Milim prior to this one is that her father Veldanava deemed Veldora a bad influence to Milim. So he kind of prevented them to meet. But at this point, the crackheadedness must be genetic. And honestly, they shouldn't be together at all. The definition of casual "play" to them is a total destruction.

Well, this isn't about abstract "strength". I believe one of the rules is that everyone with an ultimate skill can't be controlled by anything short of another ultimate skill (like with "world items" in Overlord). So Guy simply added two and two. Ramiris could do the same, except she got three.

One of the main reasons of why Shion was able to clap Clayman like that is because she was the perfect counter to him. Since she was revived, she received the unique skill called "Perfect Memory", which grants the user high resistance against mind and soul attacks, which is what Clayman specializes in. Fun fact: the reason Milim was able to keep a straight face all this time was because she put a raw pepper under her tongue, which she hates.

Neel: How dare Frey betray Millim by deceiving her into wearing Clayman's mind-control necklace! Me cackling in the backround over knowing that Millim had to intentionally lower her own passive defences so that the spell wouldn't immediately bounce off her and hold back her force so she didn't passively resist it so to trick Clayman that it would work. Heck Frey was more worried about Millim falling into Clayman's control then Millim was, despite the fact that the entire plan was Millim's idea.

"Perfect/complete memory" is an extra skill not unique skill. That's not only thing she even has a sword that deals spiritual damaged making all puppet useless. Clayman is puppet master of so puppet are his things. He also isn't made for battle that's why he is weaker than others Clowns but he has most developed mind among them which is suited for planing. That's why he is demon lord not others. even though he has similar strength to shion he isn't trained fighters. On other hand shion is oni who are known for there strength and battle powers. Shion is strongest oni in physical/pure strength. So she was perfect counter for clayman and he never stand chance against her.

Milim is far more cunning than she first appears. She made sure there was 4 people at the meeting over Veldora's disappearance so they could revoke the treaty about not entering the forest. It was made when there were only 7 demon lords, so 4 was the majority needed. She then got everyone to agree to not interfere with each other and planted herself in Tempest to protect it. On a rewatch, it is fun to see the hints she and others (Guy especially), that she wasn't being mind controlled. As Leon mention, Milim and Guy are in a league of their own.

fun fact to keep a neutral face milim was actually eating, I think it was bell peppers? the whole meeting. whenever she returns to middray all she gets are raw vegetables, and in one page in the manga she was shown eating with a neutral expression not to hurt their feelings. since they see this as the greatest present they could give milim "the bounty of the forest" as they call it.

If you watch this by the time of release, you will read a lot of comments regarding copyright issues, and how Slime probably the first one to bypass this. Based on the threads and the ending credits in this episode, you will see the acknowledgement for the following series like Street Fighter, Dragon Ball and their creators. Instead of parody approach, they do it as "Imitation is the greatest form of respect." Like the manga Veldora was holding is an actual manga series named 3x3 eyes (san x san eyes). That is why Rimuru and Tensura is the best isekai in my eyes, they bring the actual fictional ideas and concepts from the original world and apply them to the new world to see if they will work the same or not.

fun fact in the manga milim didnt say that it was hard because he was so cautious but rather because he is so weak and she had to willingly make herself so much weaker so he wouldnt just die when punching her edit: i mean at 9:45

I just wanna point it out. One other hint about the whole "Milim being controlled" is that when Veldora asks Milim to play for a bit, Milim nodded. If Milim was controlled and acted like a mindless robot the whole Walpurgis (cause well, she does respond to things when she fought Carrion), she shouldn't have responded with a Nod to Veldora.

The reason Veldora showed up is because Rimuru played a prank on him. He gave him the manga saying its all there but held back the last volume to teach Veldora a lesson for not paying attention at meetings. Little did he know that ended up saving his life cuz I'm not sure what Milim's plan was if he didn't show up to block her punch. Maybe it wouldn't have killed Rimuru but it would have really messed him up. At least Veldora got to meet his niece finally and got to play around with her.

Taking place after Clayman's defeat in the main story, he reawakens in the past retaining his memory of the events that led to his death. in this story he change and become good guy and helping everyone including his subordinate to avoid his future death from Rimuru.

I'm not sure where the Kamehameha and Hadoken get added in the series' path from novel to anime, but Capcom seems to be pretty chill. Games like Street Fighter and Tekken appear in anime before.

Milim's father is Veldanava, the Star King Dragon, who disappeared after his incarnation as the baby dragon friend of milim was slain by the Great Magician Jahil in the Ancient Magical Empire. Clayman is actually a deep character. There are littiraly a spin off exist about him also he will get mentioned many times in future. I hope we will get an anime adaptation in future of that claymans spin off(it's sooo good)

Someone already beat me to explaining it, I'll just add a little more detail. Everyone Rimuru resurrected gained the ability Perfect Memory. It gives them a high defense against spiritual and mental attacks, but it also inscribes their memories directly into their soul. It's implied that a powerful enough person could use magic to effect someone's brain or change their memories without much trouble, but controlling and changing some else's soul against their will is so much harder that it's almost impossible. Which means that Shion is basically immune to mind control now. In theory, it also means that even if the physical body of someone with Perfect Memory is completely destroyed, Rimuru could just create a body for their soul to move into (like he did with Veldora) and they would keep all their memories and abilities. Also, remember when I said in the last episode that Rimuru can share abilities with everyone he's named? I suspect that is how he figured out so quickly that Clayman was trying (and failing) to control his mind. It's also part of why Clayman was not able to gain control over Shion at all. That, and the fact that she's so much stronger than him now probably also made taking control of her impossible too.

To tell the truth, after reading the manga I must say that Clayman is far better there than in the anime. I recommend to look at the Walpurgis in the manga versios

When milim said it wasn't easy shes not lying. She had to turn off ALL of her defenses and skills just for it to look like Clayman could control her because her defense and resistances are so high it would never work (hence why zFrey was in on it from the start) otherwise. She also had to eat green peppers which she hates to keep that blank expression on her face and not give her personality away. Theres a reason why her and Guy (at this point, Rimuru will get there eventually) are in a league of their own among the demon lords.

@@yaboysjdior when Rimuru became just a demon lord he already got every kind of nullification possible, including mental attack nullification (hence why Clayman couldn't control his words at the meeting) and Milim easily had that skill so it would never work on her. Rimuru got more powerful skills like multi dimensional barrier like you mentioned but his resistances were already maxed after becoming a true demon lord. If you read the LN you'll know it's not entirely Claymans decision. He was being controlled by Kondo and that's why he was trying a bunch of risky plans. Laplace says that he's acting weird and not like his usual cautious self. That's why he tried controlling Milim. If he was thinking straight he'd never try something so foolish.

I'm sure the production committee paid for the right to use "Houdoken" and "Kamaya Maya". That's one of the things that make it so awesome, everyone contributed to this surprise.⬅ Concerning Milim being controlled, you might want to take another look at season 1, episode 16, from about 18 minutes in. The reveal happened back then; Milim always puts on an act as a ditzy girl, probably to make potential enemies careless. Plus it makes it easier for her to do the fun stuff she likes to do, because she is ditzy, but she is also one of the wisest, oldest, and strongest demon lords there is. In the scene, we first see that she is consistently reading minds. She could not have been tricked by Frey giving her that necklace (not that it would have mattered; it was a useless trinket compared to her power). Frey knew that Milim knew; they were in on it from the beginning.⬅ The scene from episode 16 continued, with Milim manipulating Rimuru into publicly naming her his "bestie". Then she wanted him to know here actual depth, that she had manipulated him. The key is the words she whispered to him, that very few people understood. "There, see? You're so good at surprising people." If Rimuru had been thinking, he would have realized he did nothing but be manipulated, and that Milim wanted to realize what she had done, to see beyond her facade. Neither he nor most viewers recognized it. But from that point on, I knew Milim had a depth and mental power that belies her persona. I'm not saying she is not ditzy; she is. She is just so much more.

The studio had to pay for the rights for the "Kamehameha" ... alot... but that they gave away the rights for it under the condition that it "looks" had to be slighlty altered is still awesome.... i read a whole debate about that when the mangaka used it back then when the chapter was released xD

The way she was able to fake it was with the bland food her people give her it was revealed in the LN

Here I'am watching this ep again for the 10th time 😅 actually I'm on Slime marathon this week but its fun to watch it with another reactor ✊🏻 I think all the skills that Veldora used here actually have credit hehehe

Just some extra stuff. Stamped she was growing stronger whole time and guy fought her for entire week but he didn't manage to stop her. In the end queen of spirits ramiris come to calmed both of them, possibly by absorbing all their energy which was enough to destroy whole world. In progress she was affected it and her core corrupt and she became reincarnating fairy we know. Guy is also protective of her because he thinks that it's his fault she became Like this.
