Dude. Nice intro! Thank you for doing full keyboard type tests, I appreciate the lengths you went to review all of these switches. I'm building my first keyboard. I'm gonna go with the Gamakay pegasus
The Pegasus switches ARE a bit mushy, but the complete quietness of them compared to the Griffin and Phoenix make them significantly more appealing imo

Agreed 100%. I had to replay it over and over because the typing sequences were too short. But it was enough for me to determine that the Pegasus switches are quieter than the other two. Phoenix has a higher pitch sound signature with the "clicking and clacking." I don't mind a bit mushy if it's quieter and not grating. Looks like I will be picking up the Pegasus switches.
Great video. Thanks for introducing me to this brand! Checking 'em out now.
i bought the phoenix switches after watching your video and boy am i glad i made the purchase. it's really quiet! compared to the lubed&modded gateron red pro 2.0 switches i had. similar like you, i also game at night in my bedroom and needed the quiet switches in order not to wake my wife up. thanks for the video on the phoenix. happy with my purchase.

Great to hear! after the first video ? Also, that's also the same reason I love mine. They make a loud frame sound quiet and on a quiet frame they are dead silent!

@@BootSequenceyes, purchase was made after watching your first video on the phoenix switches. i've also used plate pads (PE material, softer than Poron) for between the plate and switches as well as O rings to further dampen the sound

That doesn't sound. As in it sounds silent!
Maybe compare Gamakay Pegasus switches side by side with Gazzew Boba U4 Silent switches, 68g ?
Tactility in the facility? I thought these was a classy joint, sir!
I got th pegasus and have come to really like the silent bump it helps because i do tend to type harder esp if its for work 😅
These 2 are silent tactiles that you should try: Gazzew Boba U4 G-Square REM
Just switched over my Moonlander from Cherry Brown to Pegasus, very nice improvement. Great feel and completely silent
I'm looking for a replacement for my incredibly loud Unicomp buckling spring keyboard, and I am looking into getting Gamakay Pegasus switches. I think they are going to be a better choice than the Cherry Silent Black. I appreciate the sound test comparison, it was very helpful in making a decision.
I would love to see side-by-side comparison tests of every high-end silent linear switch available, including (obviously subjective) evaluations of typing feel on top of the standard sound tests. There's so much innovation in the space of silent switches, with some of them (like he Haimu Heartbeats) taking a REALLY interesting approach to keep the typing experience from feeling "mushy".

@@BootSequence Oh, don't go insane. A handful of each switch would do, if you can find them at reasonable prices. You don't need to get enough switches to build out full keyboards of just one type of switch. I think the biggest problem would be properly lubing the switches before the test, because that's a time-consuming process but very, very important if you want quiet switches. I just noticed that even other well-established keyboard enthusiast channels haven't done anything like this.

Agreed. A box af 35 switches is enough to cover the alphabets + stabilized keys so I think your idea is pretty reasonable!
Thanks to you I went with the Pegasus switches. Now my wife says that she misses the clacky sound of my typing!
Excellent review. The only thing I would change is the length of time typing with each type of switches. But I do agree, I think the Pegasus is the most quiet. I can finally climb out of this rabbit hole. Thank you so much!

i think i have the same chair. is it the staples hyken mesh task chair? i love it
Recommend to hand lube these more or just as good with factory lubed? I tried taking apart a Phoenix switch and may have slightly damaged the leaf spring so now it doesn't feel like a linear switch and more like a tactile version.
@boot sequence, You didn't lift your finger on the Pegasus E button like all the others. Why..?
Well the IDOBAO X KAILH ELF ULTRA-SILENT MECHANICAL SWITCHES just (Drop)ped on (massdrop) so now I'm interested in seeing how that fairs.
I am the same way. I leave my left hand hoving over the keyboard. Have to be ready to press those WASD keys at any moment.
Dude Thank you for this video, I'm looking for very quiet keyboard and this is the first good test of pegasus switches. After testing both of them, which do you prefer and were quieter pegasus or phoenix?
@BootSequence

I prefer the phoenix for the linear feel. But both are REALLY good for silence. They're about the same loudness which is very low.
Pretty sweet keys for sure. I don't think I will upgrade from my Logitech MX Keys for a long time though.. Need the wireless, and logitech's wireless is damn near flawless. The low profile, sleek and silent keys. The key travel itself is also super short, decreasing activation time. Can type with a baby sleeping beside you, something I needed.
I'd like to try their Phoenix switch out at some point.

I bought the bumblebee switches, and damn they are silent. But I just got the blue ones in the vid and man if I could roll back time, I would have told myself to wait till these tactical switches came out. Hell of a lot more satisfying and silent.

Imagine if he removed audio for the Pheonix presses. 😂😂

I promise I didnt.
Those Pegasus switches sound really nice. Currently using Razer's Red Optical Gen 2 switches and they are very quiet as well, Gen 3 switches that will be released very soon should be even more quiet.
I have tried the griffins, and on paper they look ok, also when I tried them I felt no problems. They are smooth, and have a very gentle tactile bump. But when I installed them in my hot swap keyboard, I don't like to type on them. They are good if you are a very light typist - the tactile bump is felt if you are not bottoming out. Sometimes I like to bottom out, and the they feel mushy, which is extremely frustrating to me. For home, I replaced them with Boba U4T which I like very much, for work I'm still in flux as to what to choose, but I'll eventually replace them.

Yeah, in one of my latest videos, I disassembled some of the silent switches and it's normal that they feel mushier. All silents ( any brand ) has a tiny rubber foot at the stop of the switch.
Otemu silent lime seems like another interesting option to consider. Imo more interesting

Also their other silent switches too (Peach, Ocean, Tom, Mute White, Caramel Coffee).
The keyboard body does make an absolute difference. I observed that the Phoenix is much louder when using the spacebar over the Pegasus. What was the last keyboard?

@@BootSequence I did end up picking up the Gamakay Pegasus and it is as silent as can be! I am extremely satisfied with it. Thanks to your review! I will note the Gamakay TK75 and SN75 to my wish list of changes. Edit: I wish I found your channel sooner. I already purchased the Keychron and paired it with the Gamakay Pegasus, which is plenty silent/quiet. But I am very curious about the TK75. The layout of the keyboard is what I want. Volume knob, F keys, and arrow keys. I thought I would prefer 65%, but I definitely prefer 75% keyboards for minimalism with functionality. I will be picking up the TK75.

Can you use normal cherry mx keycaps pls help me
these seriously need to be lubed properly, they are very scratchy on the audio and i wouldn't have these on my radar until they sound better. But however the GMMK board isn't a great board to start with for sound as they don't have much in the acoustics department.
Are the pegasus firm? Would my fingers get tired of typing after a while due to the resistance?

so, after watching your previous video kzread.info/dash/bejne/aZ9tpbezns7Yp5M.html I went and bought the GamaKay LK67 with Phoenix switches, now I'm on the hunt for a number pad extension and I might go for the Pegasus switches. Thank you.
