Ғылым және технология

At about 10:40, the caption mentions "the new Atlantic cable". The only cable laid for the Mackay system (Commercial Cable Company) in the 1920s was in 1923, and a souvenir of that cable also has the wording "The Pulse of the World" on its plaque: atlantic-cable.com/Cables/1923Atlantic/index.htm The souvenir piece commemorates the fortieth anniversary of the company, 1884-1924, so this film was probably released in 1924.

I have a fairly comprehensive list of cable films, but I hadn't seen this one before. Do you know anything more about it, or where it came from? I've now added it to the list, with a link to the video here and to the Museum: atlantic-cable.com/bibliography.htm#film

@@WirelessMuseum One thing that just dawned on me is that this video is in 16:9 so we are not seeing the full frames... I hate when folks do that... Hopefully the film still survives in its original format.

The maritime stuff ends at 29 minutes into the film. Then the landline stuff starts - WOW!
