Some of those symptoms you described are also symptoms of things like fibromyalgia, so might be time for a check in with your Dr.

Girly, I know that us viewers aren’t all that you have on your plate, but I promise you that I and probably a lot more people will still be here if you take a break. The stress thing is so real! I’m a competitive dancer (I have 10 hours per week), I’m in high school, and I’m trying to start an art career all at once. Lately, I’ve been catching colds nearly BIWEEKLY. My body is so tired and starved for a break that my immune system has weakened so much and I’ve just been forced to miss school and dance and curl up in my bed and sleep. It’s crazy and it’s only stressing me out more, because now I’m missing so much school that I have to catch up and I’m falling behind and I think I’m going to fucking lose my grip on the wheel.

Here’s some unsolicited advice to take with a grain of salt. I know it is sooooo hard to set boundaries with other people and especially with yourself. There is a peace and a freedom when you allow yourself to say no to something. It might be a good opportunity but is it really worth it if it ruins your health along the way? I have a friend who ended up in the hospital for weeks because her body literally said if you don’t take time for me I will force you to. It was truly awful. More opportunities will come. It’s a fantasy to think that there is only one path to success and to achieve that you have to run yourself into the ground. There will be more opportunities. Slow and steady wins the race. Also are there any local galleries that do salons that you could apply for with your bowling shoes piece? That’s another way to gain a foothold in the community.

We all get that 'fear of missing out' feeling, and working on that will help come to grips that opportunities come all the time and folks 'will' wait for you if it's your skills they really want, and people who matter 'will' understand and work with you on that. The ones that 'don't or won't' are not good for you and your long term success. I'm a big believer that things happen at the 'right time', so I would just recommend your health is the most important, and look after you, maybe by taking on less at any one time. Life's all a learning experience ☺

oh my gosh, that was my comment, haha. i put this video on in the background so i could have some company while i tested out some new supplies and didn't expect that to be the first thing i heard. i am so happy you got to wake up to that message! from someone who also gets heart flutters and palpitations (which are part of an underlying condition for me but amplified by stress), you're being responsible by keeping your wellbeing in mind. we make the best choices we can with what we have. i hope that your rebound comes soon. thank you for this studio vlog - being transparent about how you're feeling, even if you're not feeling the best, is still inspiring to me. you got me to try gouache. you got me into markers. your ambitious timeline for your sketchbooks helps me continue to create. and soon, i'll start putting my work out there. watching your channel has given me the courage i need. i totally meant it when i said that you didn't have to respond, though. i look at the work you put in and can't imagine what your day to day looks like. between video recording, editing, and production, packing orders, preparing for markets, making art, and trying to maintain work/life balance on top of it all - and that's not even an exhaustive list. please don't feel inclined to respond to this one either. i hope you have a great day! (also yes, your hair clip is cute!)

I’m not a doctor but I am a medical professional and it sounds like a physiological response to anxiety and stress. Which may seem like the obvious answer but this is something we see with frequency in the field. Heart palpitations, gastric issues, sleep deprivation, exhaustion, hair loss the list goes on. There is no garden variety anxiety it affects people in different ways it’s just important to remember that there is a physical correlation to mental status. Increase fluids and try to find time to disconnect it may be difficult but it would be beneficial.

i see my stickers omg ToT but man that burnout talk hit so hard, I'm the same way and honestly not too far off from a burnout myself so I'm just trying my best to delay it haha! I always feel there isn't enough time in the day to do what I need to do, so my sleep schedule suffers because of that, which doesn't help lol! But it's really cool and refreshing to see other artists talk about that too, less isolating and frustrating to know full time artists also experience this! It's always a joy to see a new video from you too! I love to binge watch them to get my butt in gear to draw haha! Hope you feel better once the tough parts finally pass!

Your whole talk from around 7 mins onwards... so feeling that all myself personally with all the stuff in my life currently, especially with all those random tech issues. I've literally been reduced to tears myself by random stuff this month also and it's always so frustrating especially when you've got stuff to do. I must say that I really appreciate you talking about this with all of us - you're really genuine when you talk about this job/art/life, and I think that's important to share, even for your own venting! Also yes, that hair clip! So cute!

(Speaking from burnout talk to myself) Reset before you burn out surprisingly kicking into high gear is the first stage, make a plan b by compromising with your perfectionist. 70% is also passing. Pick priorities you care most about it for motivation, even if you care about all of them it will provide relief during task. You want to look back and have a good impression on how you handled an experience more than feel proud you grinded out something unsustainable once that you pay for an unknown amount of time after. Space for error is room to breathe even if you never mess up, but who's that? Someone with no regrets, rarely.

Here is an only slightly relevant fun fact that is probably interesting only to me: Project Runway was the first show I ever recorded on a TiVo. No,idea why I remember that, but there you have it.
