Isn't a concern that they might not necessarily be as archival as regular oil, like there hasn't been enough time to test that, and often adding ingredients to oil can mess that up?

Hello I just wanna say I LOVE your style so much and I was wondering if you could maybe make a tutorial or give some tips of poses or how you draw body’s? Because I’ve been struggling with that a lot and I really like your way so if you feel like you would maybe want to do that I would be so grateful and if not totally fine ❤

I didn’t mind the angle at all! I will watch whatever you post, the content of the videos is what matters to me 😊

My favorite is the tiger walking in the water! And I just started a strathmore series 400 sketch book. I spent all day drawing a pony inside a stall..

is there any way you could make a like body or pose tutorial? because I cannot draw bodies for the life of me and your way of drawing them is so good it would mean a lot to me if you could but if you can't no problem

I love landscapes and have made it a personal challenge over the years to do the same thing-- simplify them! It's definitely hard. I do mostly trad art now but had a digital phase and my strategy is to take the theory of cel shading from digital art and animation and apply it to my traditional pieces... like mentally pick a color for shading then mentally calculate what color that would make irl as if it was on a multiply layer or whatever.

She called me out 🤣🤣🤣😅😅😅 I like top down view because your work isnt distorted by the side angle view (and Im not watching it like "the bent neck lady"!). I thought the mix you did worked well, but its (obviously) your channel, your videos and ENTIRELY your decision 👍🏻
@KimoyaFTW12 күн бұрын
hope you enjoy your time off :D also no lie girl you warned us pre-vid about the camera angles and I quite literally forgot while watching; like I didn't notice at all I think top down views are good for things like tours, tutorials and in this case your dtiys -like it makes sense to show ppl this angle so they can see what ur drawing better, but I say just do what you prefer/makes you feel better bc its not even something that crossed my mind as a viewer lol
@mikkib792113 күн бұрын
Honestly, by the time you got to the drawing I had already forgotten you said the camera angle was going to be different until like the very end of the video lol. I probably wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't said anything, which is how I think a lot of people are, so do whatever you like better! Top down the whole time is easier to see the art, but I think it's kinda boring, so the mix of both you had going here is a good compromise, if you decided you wanted to dabble in the top down angle a bit. But for real, either way is good

I prefer the old way you film - it feels more intimate/cozy/friendly, and I don't think the top-down suits your style of video. Also love this character, what a great way to start off the sketchbook!

Love DTIYS challenges :) as for the camera angles I don’t mind either way. I like being up close with the top down angle to see the process more clearly, but side angles have their benefits too. I liked that there was a mix of both here. I honestly completely forgot I was trying to pay attention to the angle until towards the end and had to go back and rewatch so I don’t think you can’t go wrong either way 😂

What a lovely space! I've only recently stumbled upon your channel, but you do spectacular work, and I'm excited to see more from you! I did also want to mention to be mindful of the ohuhu swatches being stuck to the wall - I actually love that idea, I can see how easy it makes the color picking process, but alcohol markers are super not lightfast so between the rad windows you've got and the new LED lights and all, some colors will probably shift and change pretty readily and no longer be accurate to what is in the markers themselves. ❤ I just don't want any colors to catch you off-guard in the middle of a drawing! Congrats on finding such a wonderful spot to create and thrive in!
