The Prophecies of Titania McGrath - Andrew Doyle

“Capitalism, after all, is a singularly male phenomenon. The ultimate symbol of capitalism, the skyscraper, is nothing more than a giant c*ck on the horizon, f*cking the heavens.”

This man, as he identifies, he actually admits it!, is just riding the coat tails of Titania McGrath! Typical male theft and appropriation! His very existence is a crime, an act of violence like all men save trans men!? I'm not entirely sure but they may be okay or wait... if they are men then ergo they must be bad as well, my bad. So, to continue, he is a man and of course therefore a horrible abomination and it's worth noting he's white as well, or Caucasian if you prefer, identifying as said, shamelessly! Shamelessly! That said there is a thread of redemption to his existence in the furtherance of a prophets message! He is a loathsome wretched creature beneath contempt and yet he is serving a useful purpose if it helps to get Titania McGrath's message out to a waiting wretched world in dire need of it! In this small way this small man serves a larger purpose. Surely we can all agree on that at least. Her magnum opus should be clutched in the grubby paws of every child! Perhaps even read by a few as well...but... that's of little consequence though provided a sale has been rung up.

You are a smart man. I remember a British Pakistani lady making a documentary about going back to Pakistan from the UK to research her family roots and she wanted to break the stereotypes. She wasn't in Lahore for even a day before an extremist set a bomb off in the crowded marketplace nearby. Whatever happens in the UK, ordinary Pakistanis have it far worse and I truly sympathise with them and would not want to travel there myself. The dangers are clear and upfront every moment.

Titania's gift for prophecy is equal to the prophecy gifts of The Simpsons and The Babylon Bee. All 3 seem to see into the Well of Absurdities for their visions of the future.

The reason this keeps happening is because it basically cannot NOT happen. For that people would have to draw a line, explaining why the satirical point doesn't stand. Unfortunately, people who have committed themselves to other points using reasoning exactly as flawed would have to admit to have been wrong on those too. In an effort to remain logically consistent, they embrace further insanity so as not to pay the price of admitting having bought into previous one. It's the sunken cost fallacy in action.

The swipe at PETA is misplaced (they're not talking about gender, they're just saying that animals are not objects like rocks, they do have to some degree emotions, social relations, can experience pain, fear, etc.) but the rest of the video is fucking hilarious.

@@carltaylor6452 I think because pigeons are not obviously sexually dimorphic and you can’t tell male from female just by looking, but I agree it is very silly and unnecessary, and by doing that PETA have only distracted from the real message of respect for non human animals.

Anita Cameron's line about Helen Keller being "just another, despite disabilities, privileged white person" was certainly cringeworthy, but Helen Keller did have one undeniable privilege over many disabled people, in that she was allowed to live. From Disability Studies Quarterly, Winter 2005, Volume 25, No. 1: Keller had a complicated relationship with disability. Like radicals and conservatives of her time, she fully supported the policies of the eugenic and euthanasia movements, arguing that disabled children's lives should not be sustained. In a highly publicized case in 1915, a deformed baby was allowed to die after his physician refused to operate on him. In the pages of popular newspapers and magazines, Keller defended the physician's actions against the "cowardly sentimentalism" of those who condemned him, arguing that the life of the baby was "not worth while" and that he was "almost sure to be a potential criminal" when he grew up (pp. 36-37).
