I love watching this process. It is interesting to see the different ways paper is made in different parts of the world.
젊은 분이 일하고 계신 걸 보면 기술이 아예 끊길 위험은 아니려나 싶어서 다행입니다. 요즘 사회 분위기도 변화하고 있고 향후 10년 안에 다음 세대 문화재의 맥을 잇는 사람들도 생기지 않을까 기대해봅니다. 건강하세요

솔직히 까놓고 말하자면 한지 평소에 안씀. 나는 문화로 보존하는건 맞다고 생각하지만 저렇게 세금 드려가면서 만들게 하고 싶진 않음

@@user-lf4im6mu8e 한지는 보존성이 뛰어나 현재 세계에서 옛날 문서들이나 그림을 복원할때 사용 됩니다. 우리나라 한지는 최고 수준임. 우리나라 한지는 루브르 박물관에서도 문화재 복원에 사용중입니다.

I realized that this is the same process as how paper is made in China. I thought that every country would make it in a different way but it seems the same to me.

A popular theory is that the earliest "paper" was a by-product of silk. Fibers of silk float and gather in thin layers on water's surface. During the Qin and Han dynasties, paper making gradually became independent from silk and expanded the range of materials. Eventually Cai Lun (who is recognized as the inventor of paper) standardized the process of making paper from plant fibers. This is just a hypothesis, but many scholars agree that the invention of paper is related to textiles and has a long-term process, rather than being invented by one person.

44년 전에 마을 이웃집에서 전통한지를 가내 수공업으로 만들던 과정을 생각나게 하네요. 대부분의 공정에 기계를 사용하는 것으로 개선되었지만 전반적으로는 동일하네요.

제가 어렸을때 아버지께서 이런일 하셨어요 제가 보기에도 그때나 별반 차이가 없는데요 시골동네에 지통이라 하여 작은 공장이 있었어요 어릴때 많이 갔던것 같아요 중간에 써래질(껍데기를 잘게 써는것)도 그때도 기계로 했어요 오히려 영상에 나온것은 규모가 더 적은데요 닥나무를 삶던 가마솥이 엄청커서 종이를 만드는 철이 아닐때는 목욕탕으로도 썼었는데 추억이 새록새록 돋는군요 ㅎㅎ

지천년 견오백 한지 한장이 만들어지는데 백번의 손이 간다고 해서 백지라한다고 알고 있습니다. 장인들의 피와 땀이 함께하니 더욱 좋은 한지가 만들어지는것 이겠지요. 원자재 생산에 많은 지원이 필요하다고 생각합니다. 값산 중국산 닥으로 만드는 한지는 질이 많이 떨어집니다. 닥나무를 많이 심어 좋은 닥으로 한지를 만드는것에 힘을 쏟아야 된다고 생각합니다.

These are just the normal handmade paper which are even made in my country( paper was first invented in my country only). There's nothing traditional in it but I appreciate the hardwork

It looked like bamboo. But I looked up traditional Korean paper and it may be mulberry pulp.

Most commonly used for traditional drawing, writing but also has some other decorative use. There are numerous other ways they are used (layers and layers made for armors or luxury bags) but are not as common.
