I watched a suitcase factory in Vietnam the other day. This Japanese factory is at another level including the cleanliness, quality and post product testing.

Usually the quality of materials used differ. Processes are same. Where labour is cheep they use labour. In Japan labour is expensive so lots of automation.

Yes...but this factory would be similar to South Vietnam if it still existed. South Vietnam was already building vehicles back in the 1950's with Xe Da Lat. Obviously, Japan is still far ahead, but Vietnam would be a different country today if it wasn't for communism in the first place (both North and South).

Same here. The biggest difference for me is the quality of materials. Vietnamese workers are highly skilled - not using high-tech machinery keeps lots of people employed.

@@luxpursuits Yeah... It keeps several people employed in poor health and safety conditions and low pay. I'm not belittling the Vietnamese workers at that factory, but I prefer to pay more for a product knowing that it has a little more quality from a company that pays a minimum decent wage and that offers a decent environment for the people who work there. It's a more expensive product, not everyone can or wants to pay more for it and that's okay
So much manual labour involved! Love anything made in Japan
Big difference between Vietnam ...By simply looking at the physical appearance you can tell its a high quality..I work in Japanese manufacturing and you can tell that this company is really Japanese..The cleanliness and orderliness..specially safety

Fascinating to watch. I just watched the same process of luggage making from VN and you can now see why one is dirt cheap while others are more expensive. The quality and care of this is night and day. You do get what you pay for.

The technology line of the product is very good, it's true Japan Their made products never let me down.

I like it! Modern, professional ,...NOT a sweat shop!
Thank you for sharing an interesting video.
Now that's how you make a suitcase. I've just seen a video of a Vietnamese suitcase factory that was so crude and absolutely no testing. It was basically a sweat shop. Sure the Japanese one will be more expensive but at least you'll know it's quality and the workers are safe and paid well.

Wow, good processing
Comparing with another video which I watched on Vietnamese made luggages , I can say that Japanese made luggages are still much better . While in terms of luggages quality , they all seem to be made from similar materials , but there's other things to take note of. From Japan, the stitching seems better, thus producing stronger luggages , the care taken at each step by the workers ( no throwing of luggages around ) , the working conditions of the factory are so clean, there's even vacuuming at the end of the process. Not to forget that R and D help in improving the durability of these luggages. Vietnam , u still has a lot to catch up!!

For example, there were 4 different types of machines that creates a hole each; taking 4 steps. Why not simplify that into a one single step machine that punches 4 holes at a time?

I'm assuming it's just molded plastic? it's bad that there is no metal frame inside, but the weight of this product would be very heavy I mean, once such a suitcase was broken at the airport, it cracked like an eggshell (it was not of high quality) I liked this plant, everything here is so modern that I wonder how it was possible to create Thanks for the interesting video

I think it's some kind of polycarbonate resin mix, idk if that's durable enough or not with very heavy luggage but if it's only for maybe 5-10 years of being used as normal travel luggage it should be fine, it's a cheaper mass produced model after all, not the high-end one

Жыл бұрын
@@oniplus4545 It's just that if the plastic is hard and not soft, it will be more crumbly and not elastic. In the production of suitcases, it is just necessary that it be elastic, since we all know how baggage is loaded into the airport
