The Previous Installer Got It Wrong - A Day In The Life Of A Gas Engineer 157
The previous installer got it wrong when he tried to install a twin channel Hive to a combi boiler. It can be done, but the wiring has to be adjusted to suit accordingly.
Hope you enjoy the video!
As always, thank you all for supporting the channel, I appreciate it!

Thank you Tony!
on the hive issue you resolved, please please sleeve any switched lives, avoid any single insulation wires being visible and a cable clip to prevent cable stress. 👍

still cant figure out on the second rad valve change , how you avoid draining the whole system and create an airlock

Just from experience 👍🏾 drain pressure out of the boiler then shut flow & return valves
Awesome watching engineers like yourself fault find. I’m going to do a wiring / fault finding course towards the end of the year to hopefully make things clearer !

@@xclusive463 more work for the rest of us then. Il happily let everyone jump on the heatpump train. Guaranteed 20 years left using gas for heating and hotwater systems, il be retired by then, so no need for me to worry in the slightest.

@@xclusive463 come 2030, hydrogen will be bumped up to a 26 percent blend with Natural gas. Ive seen very good information on this mate. 23 percent hydrogen blend is where there are changes in the combustion factors, so they are getting tweaked as we speak. Why you think boilers are being sold as hydrogen ready lol, if it wasnt going to be a solution, manufactures wouldnt be slapping the hydrogen ready all over their boilers. The big whigs at top of manufacture ckmpanies are sitting at the top of table with the government.

Can't wait for everyone to leave and retire. We'll be charging 300 pound an hour in a few years 😂 Even if gas fazes out somewhat in 10 years (cant see it)all the skills we have to diagnose and fix heating systems will be transferable anyway
