Ron is amazing... a "jack of all trades", from beating drums for the militia to making a skunk hat! I love watching you two.

You realise you can see daylight between the boards on the wall with the fireplace? I doubt thats cozy when the wind blows or when its snowing. lol No disrespect or criticism just stating a fact.

I remember posting, "...Wait a minute, is that a skunk on your head?" Didn't realize it was a hat. Here, I watched the hat being made, and I saw how nice it is, and saw all the work going into it. I love the black and white contrast. It does make a good 1820's fashion statement. Glad you both took off on an impromptu date at the tavern. Hope it was fun!

It was so interesting watching you make that hat Ron. Justine looks so pretty in her hat but Ron you looked like a 1980’s rocker… lol

Hi guys....nice work on the hat by both of you! One suggestion that might save wear and tear on your fingers the next time you're sewing fur (or leather) is to punch holes through both layers with your sharp pointy scissors first. Then the needle will pull through the holes easily. Also saves wear and tear on the needles.

I'm a seamstress and that bothered me. Taking care of a needle was top priority in 1820. He still did a great job.

Now you need the matching muffs!

I am so tickled that your intro music is from the George Washington series with Barry Bostwick! I grew up watching it all of the time and just randomly watched it on KZread this past weekend. As usual the two of you made me lmao. God forgive me but the hat made me think of that movie....Joe Dirt...where his parents glue the mullet wig on his head. Next time you have to sew through thick material here's an old fashioned trick i learned. When I had babies I used cloth diapers, doubling the night diaper..which made the needle not go through. An older Lady told me to rub the pin on my scalp and it would go through easily....and it does!!!! I dont know if it's the oils or what but that needle went through like butter!!! I don't know why I watched this with great interest, I would love to make something like this for winter, there is a distinct lack of skunks over here in England though. I have got a pet ferret though lol, poor Pixie I wouldn't do that to her. I have some fake fur I think I'll make a fur hat with that, that skunk hat suited both of you though.

Thanks Cathy! We sent you guys a box last week but the tracking # hasnt updated in a about 4 days last we seen was Chicago Illinois but its on its way!

Love it! It bring back a lot of memories of rendezvous' as a kid!🤓 I hope it's tanned correctly, because my father has a 35 year shrunk hide that still smells if gets wet or damp!😳😂❤👒I love your channels!!!!!!❤❤❤❤
