    As you say Alex "natural posture" for every single golfer. What is good for Rory and Tommy doesn't necessarily mean it is good for me. I have been using this same posture for almost 70 years now, so why change now! Well Done Alex! Keep up the good work!!!

    Great stance tips Alex. I think another aspect of hitting better shots is the mental one. See the shot you want to hit. See it land on the green or fairway. This is especially hard after hitting a bad shot…to clear the mind so it doesn’t ruin the rest of your round.

    Hi Alex, this was a great video and really timely for me. Thanks ! Wondering if you could do a video about how to prepare for and how to approach striking the first few shots of a round when there isn’t an opportunity to warmup on a range Thank you.

    Hi Alex, loving your lessons and tips. I play off 14, according to my club pro on track man, my club path with driver in hand is 8deg on the inside. Do you have any handy tips to make it less. Kind regards Mark Gibson

    Alex have worked on so many of your tips and doing well , posture is good , my irons / fairway woods are great generally straight . However need a drill around release for the driver ie straighter arms and point towards the fairway rather then chicken wings ? I’m straighter then I was but need that little more distance . Thanks for the good work

    can't say I've gotten 100% of his tips into practice, but I've been following him for a year, now. I'm finding greens on par 3s, consistently hitting the fairway on 4s and 5s, and played my first tournament last fall. I'll probably never be a scratch golfer, but I'm playing a good 10% better after a year.

    Most weekend golfers are standing too far from the ball. From there, they usually swing too hard; then in an effort to gain balance, they lift their upper body, stand up and early extend.

    How does this posture video square with your video of hitting Driver better by keeping your feet closer together? Thank you!

  • @kenbrown2808

    @kenbrown2808

    16 күн бұрын

    if you PRACTICE with your feet closer together, it helps you develop a smooth swing without unbalancing yourself. then you can gradually bring your feet further apart an still have that same smooth swing, but faster.

    I'd like to see you do a video about the holy grail of golf. Look it up on youtube. It is the single best swing advice I've ever seen. It fixes most problems with a swing. Most people swing the club the wrong way... when you try it-- you can't untry it. Mind blowing.

    I swing it from the back of the tee box towards the green, are you saying I'm supposed to swing it from the green to the back of the tee box?

  • @mikearrow8767

    @mikearrow8767

    you are suppose to swing at the ball-- not down the line. No one teaches this. (look up the holy grail of golf) It's bizarre... really. I took 10 lessons and the whole time if someone told me I just had to swing the club the right direction, it would have saved me a lot of time and heartache.

    @@mikearrow8767 so I did the search and what you'[re saying is the correct way to swing is to swing 50 or 70 dollars (US) a month in your direction and (reads website claim) I'll be able to hit the ball like Alex taught me to hit it, for free.

    Yeah. I’m more stanced like Finau so there’s no exact posture for everyone. Only what feels natural and is easily repeatable with good results.

    I don’t think this is adopting natural posture when you’re suggesting predetermined checkpoints. I’ve seen many golfers more hunched over or more upright at address and that’s their “natural” posture. Take Jim Furyk for example. He stands very tall with his hands very close and that’s his natural posture.

  • @riffraffgolfers
    @riffraffgolfers15 күн бұрын

    The thumbnail is misleading, you’re saying he’s too close, he’s not, if anything he’s just bent over too much for his driver. This will confuse the average Covid golfer these guys are only 2 years into there careers and Rick shields has already been filling there heads with nonsense 😂
