THE PORSCHE 997 BUILD SERIES | WHAT I BOUGHT & MY COMPLETE BUILD PLANNING PROCESS BTS | EP 1

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

It's time for another 911 build! After selling the 991, I have been eyeing the market for this modern classic, the 997. Follow along as I embark on one of my most exciting builds yet. I can't wait to dial this car into my specifications and share the journey with everyone.

    sports adaptive seats are also a major option, not enough 997's have them. They make the car look lush especially when looking at the car from the rear, you see the silver hardbacks, such a good look

    Glad you are back on the 911 bandwagon! I have a 991.2 and had a 997. Both great cars. Love that you like the stock look. I did take your advice and had a Cobb tune and it turned my base into a GTS. Love it. No issues like you said. Have not done an update on accessort, as it runs perfectly and I have no issues. Keep up the great work and can't wait to watch the transformation of your 997. I also like the fact that you have a daily driver and not afraid of miles! I have 34K on my 2017, but I am not afraid to drive it. Porsches are meant to be driven.

    I love the content. If possible, can you make a video about buying a car out-of-state (did you fly out to see to inspect the car in-person before issuing payment or did you have a PPI done? Did you do a wire transfer and received the title in the mail?, transportation company(ies), etc.)? I'm interested in buying a car from across the country and currently researching the best route. Thanks!

    Looking forward to this, hoping to own a same style 997 sometime. Keep the headlights like this. Looks way and works way better than oem. I also wondering why you are showing photos and not just the car itself😅

  • @nineelevensouth

    @nineelevensouth

    5 ай бұрын

    Appreciate you following along. I don't disagree that the function of the Morimoto headlights is superior, but I do disagree on looks. To each their own. I used photos because I had them and this was more of a "desktop" review of the plan vs. a walk around of the car. Don't worry, there will be plenty of footage of the car in episodes to come.

  • @nineelevensouth

    Light output of the Morimotos is waaay better. I just wanted the OEM look of the light, housing etc. I don't do much night driving in this car. If you want max function, go with the Morimotos

    Are you thinking of the suspension?

  • @nineelevensouth

    @nineelevensouth

    5 ай бұрын

    Yes. I am planning to add a DSC Sport controller to upgrade the way the factory PASM suspension works. I did toy with the idea of coilers but the big tradeoff there is a harsh ride around town. I had Ohlins R&T on my E46 M3 build and while it was absolutely incredible in the mountains, around town it was a little harsh. The Porsche PASM suspension with a DSC is incredible. Best of all worlds on the fly. I had one on my 991 build and loved it.
