Well, thing is - it doesn't translate well between Europe and the US ideologically. The ECR has a lot of parties that are economically centrist, if not social democratic/solidaritist. The GOP is pretty much exclusively capitalist. S&D are mostly social democrats, while the DNC are mostly a big tent centrist party full of christian democrats, neoliberals and social democrats.

Hi Mr Man, thank you for watching. Unfortunately, the audio section of the EFDD leadership got deleted and we were already behind schedule and unable to re-record, similar to what happened to the ENF's seat section. We also decided to put all the British MEPs into the single category of "ex-members of the British UKIP party" as there were four different kinds. Hope this helps clear things up.

Because it is disguised as freedom but just means you are exploited by companies and the rich instead of the State. Economic liberalism heightens inequalities, lowers the quality of public services, creates precarity and many other terrible effects of leaving the market do policy. Europeans tried it and it led to a banking crisis

  • @Pan_Z

Liberalism can lead to great economic growth & freedom, and technological & culturally progression, but also corporatism, class inequality, and exploitation. Government intervention can curtail these problems, but restricts economic possibilities, and introduces inefficiencies & the corruption big states are associated with. Unless you find a balance between and market & the state, you're likely going to be exploited one way or the other. The age old question of finding harmony between order & chaos.
